I own a 110 and use it regularly, I didn’t realize how many attachments were available for it, great lawn tractor and great video. Nothing Runs Like A Deere
The attachments were made by Brinley and were available to every manufacturer
I owned a 110 for 3 years now. That tractor works so good. Just runs and mows like no ones business. I see people with brand new JD diesel garden tractors and they are constantly working on them. Ya can't beat the old stuff.
The 110 l bought in 71 is now being used by my Grandson. It smokes a little and we put a better deck on it. Grandpa stepped up to a ZTURN.
Dad had a 110 that I put a lot of hours on.
Dude I love your channel I’m a red guy and I love this channel
I have a 65 110, on it's second motor. It now sits in the garage in semi retirement. I get it out to run around the yard once in a while. Charge the battery up, turn on the fuel, full choke, 2 cranks of the starter and it's going. I had a snow blower for it, the most useless piece of equipment I ever saw. One day I was sitting in the house, and heard that distinctive Kohler sound, looked out, here's my neighbor's kid with a 112 with steel wheels on it, The kid collects 110's and 112's and had made the wheels in his dad's metal shop.
The 318 was a great machine but the 345 is my personal favorite. The 345 was based off the 320 which is one of the most under rated lawn and garden tractors ever made.
my favorite john deere lawn and garden tractor is the john deere 300/316 kohler
Love the work
my grandpa has a 110 round fender and i have a 400 with a 3pt and tons of brinly attachments and a john deere 60 garden tractor
My dad and my uncle Terry both had one back in a day wish I still had it
I have ran a 110 it is good
Quite a few years ago I bought a used 317 that had been repowered with a JD Onan engine kit. It came with 48" mower deck, front blade, rototiller, and pull sprayer. I put between 70 to 90 hours a year on it. Only thing that would make it better is if it had power steering.
I have a John Deere 110 and I love it
Good information, and very well made video. Thank you for sharing
Thank you for watching!👍🏻
Had many hours running a 112 when I was kid.
I've owned a square fender 110 and currently own 2 round fender 110 tractors, one being my grandpas that was handed down to me. Also own a 140 with a johnson 12 loader, 332 diesel and my 455 diesel that I'm currently building a front end loader for! Wife thinks I have too many tractors...pssh
Nice collection, and you can never have enough tractors!👍🏻
My grandpa bought a new 110 it was $300 if I remember right, was a great little tractor that is grandkids wore the tires off of it.
But to be fair Simplicity owned the lawn tractor market, and was owned by Allis Chalmers
I have a few John Deere garden tractors. A 1967. 110 and a 112. The 112 has been modified and updated to be used regularly the 110 is original and running. Have numerous 140s, 210, 212 and a 314
Have had several. My favorites are the 1973-74 models with the individual clutch/brake pedal's.
My younger brother found a 110 round fender at an auction that was well taken care of, but with in a year had blown up the motor. I asked if he still had the tractor, he said he sold it for scrap. Damn shame.
For sure, that would have been a good one to save from the iron pile. Thanks for watching!
My grandparents had a model 111 lawn tractor. It was just used for mowing tho, no cool attachments. I learned to cut grass with the old school rear-engine riding mowers from Deere, which i preferred to the "garden tractor" configuration.
I have a 1981 111 that someone put trailer lights on so it looks like it has a face,i named it Evan the 111
I own a 1966 110 and I absolutely love it and I also own a 1972 110 and also absolutely love it
I had a 60 nice little mower
Good video, locust motor works!
My brother had a 110 he pulled in contests. It was amazing what it would pull. He was much heavier than me so we pulled in different weight classes. When we pulled in an unlimited class we weighted it down so that it wouldn't stop until the wheels spun in the tires. We put sheet metal screws into the rims and it amazed the crowd. Summer of 1968 or 69.
I own a 65 110 with a hydraulic lift I am restoring. Amazing how well these are built.
very true!
$1100 was a lot of money in 1974. I got my first car that year (I was 16) and it only cost $975, albeit it was a 1969 model and so it was 5 years old. Dad bought a brand new Pontiac Catalina in 1973 and he only gave $4300 for it. Those examples just show you that $1100 for a riding lawn mower was a lot in those days. But all that said, I think that our John Deere riding mower was a 110, which Dad bought new in 1973 also. Fast forward to 2000 when I bought my MTD 15hp, 38" deck, riding mower and only paid $799 for it at Walmart, and I am still using it today in 2023. It's been a very good mower but I do wish it had power steering. LOL.
I went to an auction in Fremont Mich. a few years ago and they had a model 110 Sweepster up for bids, and it sold for $13,000.
I have three of things one of them was bought new by my great grandfather
We still have our 110 that my dad bought new in 1966. It had the headlight option and a38 inch mower deck.
Heavy duty and well built! Thanks for watching
With this tractor and it's attachments some one could have a mene farm
I have a 68 110 I love it use it all the time to mow would really like a loader for it though
A loader for it would be really cool, thanks for watching
i have a round fender JD-110, two JD-112s, and a JD-214. These are great fun and two of the four are in regular use. I will confess that my go-to lawn mowing tractor is a Case 222. The Case permits faster mowing speeds while still cutting cleanly. The K-Series cast iron engines are the best!
I've got a 1965 110 and still use it to mow my lawn with it I prefer mow with it over my 1025R lol
They are some great machines!👍🏻👍🏻thanks for watching
Nice video. 🐱
I have a John Deere 210
Nice video. Hope to see the next one on the 140. I have a 1970 John Deere 140H3. Have a great day.
Thanks for watching!👍🏻
Own eleven, (1) 110, (2) 112, 210, 212, 214, 216, 314, 316K, 318, and a 420. My uncle has five, (2) 112, 140, 214, 300. We have three garden plows, a set of disk, and three cultivators. Also have snow plows and snow blowers and one Sweepster broom.
Awesome collection, Thanks for watching!
They had a110 features on an episode of Mad Men. Used to have a110 when I was skid in the late 70’s early 80’s.
I have a 72 110,98 LT133 and a stx 38 they all run.
I used to own a 63 110, but sold it. Still have the front blade for it.
I own a ‘73 110, it’s nothing fancy just an 8 horse with a 31 tiller on the rear. It’s pretty fun to drive and sounds really nice.. until it breaks.😅 And my favorite John Deere garden tractor would be the 1969 John Deere 140 H3 custom ordered in April Yellow, or spruce blue. 😃
Sounds like a nice setup with the tiller, thanks for watching👍🏻
For those that didn’t know John Deere was born in Vermont. Good olde Yankee Technology
I have 15 john deeres 7. 110 round fenders 4 110, 112 flat fenders, 3 140's, 2- 80 trailers, 214. 2 habon sickle mowers, johnson 10 loader, model 4 log splitter, 2 mighty mac chippers, brinly 2box planter, 6 way plowblade, lots of snowblowers lots of cast iron wheel weights... yeah i may have a problem... but she has lots of shoes so its ok....
Awesome collection! The more John Deeres the better👍 How long have you been collecting?
About 10 years.... when i started i had very little money, now i have saved paid off dumb things and kind of went a little crazy when i do find something.... but it also helps learning more too... what to buy what not to buy, rare and not rare...
Back around '75 Dad bought a used 112 that I got to use every week . If he had used it a tenth as much as I did , he would have found out how badly he had screwed up . Our previous tractor had been a '61 Springfield with the 6 hp Briggs & Stratton engine . It was ten times the machine that Deere was , especially when plowing snow .
Mannn can you please make a video like this but for the 140 loved the video thank you
Let's get a 140 video please🙏
Could you do the Massey Ferguson lawn and garden tractors history.
I own a 110h. I have convertered into mini 2510 with 3 point hitch
Sounds like a awesome machine to have! Thank you for watching👍🏻
I’m in the process of restoring a 110 on my TH-cam channel I also have a 1968 140
Nice, What engine is on your 110?
@@LocustMotorWorks it’s got the Kohler k181s
John Deere 190 c lawn mower
I have a 1968 jd 110, it was the 66th one to roll off the assembly line in 68. It has its second motor, and the 110 is completely restored. These days, it's living the easy life doing a lot of tractor shows and parades. I'll have tractors come and go, but that one will never be sold.
That’s awesome at it’s the 66th off the assembly line! Thank you for watching👍🏻
