    My family and I have played through all 7 games already and started another play a couple of months ago. We are at game 4. Even my non-gaming husband loves this game. I am really looking forward to the expansion later in the year.

      That sounds like a great endorsement - and I am most likely getting the expansion when it comes out as well. Thanks for watching along!

      Thematically this game is a gem. It was my first ever deckbuilder too and I really appreciated the way it slowly made things more complicated.

      I agree. We started at game 1 because my husband, who is not a gamer, had never played a deck building game before. This one started easily enough for him to catch on as to how it worked without overwhelming him.

      I hope Paul enjoys the rest of the game and hope we get to see them.

      Yep! I would love to see him play them all out.

      Thanks - I'm sure it gets much more complicated and difficult the further along in games you get. Thanks for watching along!

    Hey I requested this one! I love this game. Next play through you should jump to game four to show just how much the game progresses.

      I will likely do them in order (my first play through is going on right here on the channel) so I don't spoil anything for myself. Thanks for watching along!

      that's for the best then. I figured you had already played. if I may suggest one house rule: each year you are supposed to mix the new Hogwarts cards together and then lay out the first 6. This might mean you never see them. I personally snag 3 out first (facedown of course) and then shuffle the rest. That way you are guaranteed to have 3 new cards available at the start of your adventure!

    You should check out Into the Echo Side. By Psychopathic Records. It's a Insane Clown Posse deck builder game. Just like this one, but with that Dark Carnival magic and the Wicked Shit. You don't have to be a fan of ICP, to like this game. I play it with non-Juggalo and they love it.

    Quick Question - do you have to play as Ron and Harry in a two player game? Can you choose to play as Hermoine and Neville? Choose any of the four, I mean?

    • @PaulDarcy
      @PaulDarcy  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, you can choose any two you like, but I believe the rules suggest you use Harry for sure. Thanks for watching along!

    My two cents about the game
    1) The game is easier with two people
    2) The first few books are boring for adults
    3) The major flaw in the game is whether you can keep the baddies on the first scenario. You either win during the first scenario, or you lose. Very few exceptions, especially at 4 players
    4) The player characters get a lot more interesting later on when you get to customize then

      FishofMuu 1,2,4 make sense to me as its designed for family play and meant to get more complex as you go, #3 sounds like a big issue however. thanks for the heads up.

      J Bottero I found the game fun, despite the flaw. Not something I'd purchase myself, but my friend is a big Potter head and I enjoyed playing with him

      FishofMuu if I get it the idea would be to play with grand kids ages 8-13

    game 7 is extremely difficult that its difficulty is 3 times game 4 and 14 times game 2(and game one's difficulty is negative)

    • @PaulDarcy
      @PaulDarcy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, this is a progressively harder game but perfect for introducing new people to deck building type games. Thanks for watching along!

    Flipendo isn't even a Dark Art, it's a DADA spell!
    Dang, aknowledging the spell that originated in the videogames, but butchering it, giving it's spiral symbol to Alohamora...
    Just kinda bothers me...

      I do like the build up in games though to introduce new players to Deck Builders. I would not recommend the Expansion though . . . just, no. Thanks for watching along!
