Ikr the first video I ever saw from him was his worst tab ever (sweet child o' mine) video. I remember watching and thinking to myself "Who the fuck is this and how is this funny this is dumb." Now here I am.
Yeah, same, and I think he's gotten funnier (in my subjective opinion) with time. Seems like there's a bit less of the goofy faces/noises and more of the, like ... The moments that get worked in quickly, like the "I haven't had social interaction in --" in one of his recent videos, I want to say it was the Ramones one. He handled that running gag *perfectly*, it was just often enough but spread out enough in the video, the execution was just awesome. His sense of comic timing that he employs with his speech and his editing is stellar. Assuming he wanted to do it and could overcome the anxiety, I could totally see him being a brilliant standup comedian (although that's a very different art from being able to edit a production, so I wouldn't want him to try it if it doesn't sound fun to him). I could see him really inventing a genre of stand-up comedy that's meant to be delivered through produced video, tbh. He's got a good enough sense of background audio and overall timing. I'd listen to him joke about just about anything, doesn't have to be music, as long as it's more jokes than noises/faces lol

Well the thing is everybody has the right to say anything they want. Don't get me wrong, I agree with the part when you say "If you don’t like the video, just don’t watch it". In my case for exemple, I hate Nicki Minaj, so I don't watch her videos. But you have to understand that haters are sad and angry people, and their hateful comments are most of the time a cry for attention. Lot of people need to express their feelings, either they're good or not. And by doing videos making silly faces, Stevie knows that some people will like it, and some will hate. Don't get me wrong, I agree with the part when you say "If you don’t like the video, just don’t watch it". In my case for exemple, I hate Nicki Minaj, so I don't watch her videos.
But you have to understand that haters are sad and angry people, and their hateful comments are most of the time a cry for attention.
Lot of people need to express their feelings, either they're good or not. And by doing videos making silly faces, Stevie knows that some people will like it, and some will hate. It's part of the game.
Or even comment on it.

Hey Stevie, I’m a 15 year old animator. I remember in early 2020 my parents showed your videos to me on the tv. I laughed a lot, and thought you were really good at guitar. But late 2020, something devastating happened. My parents decided to get a divorce. Everything in between that divorce was hard n I wasn’t okay, but I watched your videos, and then I felt happy again. I felt inspired. Every memory with my parents, has become a blur. Your videos are the only memory I have left. Your videos make me feel like I still have a piece of them together with me. You may not know it, but you’re one of the reasons why I’m still alive.
