Why aren't this band one of the biggest in the world? Seriously, skin is easily the best female singer. Her vocal range is unparalleled and gives me chills every time I listen.
She's truly amazing. I got to hear her in concert at a festival some years ago. So much energy and enthusiasm onstage, and she sounds just as strong and awesome as ever, even while jumping around.
You young whippersnappers haven't a clue... I was 60 this year, still alive and very much kicking and Skin reaches parts that other singers do not reach.
This takes me back to the mid 90s. I wasn't a massive Skunk Anansie fan per se, but their music always pervaded what I did. I've not just come to enjoy it, I've come to love it hard. This song in particular reminds me of the days when Saturday afternoons were endless, enjoying the sun with 50+ friends and wondering if I was bi or not. I am and these guys and Living Colour helped me out to feel like I wasn't an outsider. Will always love these guys for this, every time I hear it, brings a tear to my eye,

Blessed enough to have seen her live twice in the early 2000s in small venues, amazing always vocal perfection. Second time I saw her she took a liking to my girlfriend and called her onto the stage and started making out with her, funny stuff lol

This sums up a breakup nicely. I listened to this on repeat crying my eyes out after a 2 year relationship ended back in July. I was devastated, lost and alone. It was my longest ever relationship. This *kills* me every time I hear it. One of those heart stopping songs. Can't listen to it sometimes. Although in a happy place now....it's difficult to be reminded of such loss when I listen to this. They say you know it was love if it still hurts today....that's true x
Amagine a young south African boy just coming out of the apartheid years and seeing this awesome performance. I still remember here and to this day she changed my life
One of those songs that stops you in your tracks, so beautiful, heartbreaking, breathtaking, plus her style is ahead of the game by years, she could wear these garments in the Kings Road today ❤
But what a life, filled with happiness, pain sadness, and songs that captured our most inner thoughts. I'd do it all over again, in a heart beat, just like the last time. But this time I'd do it even better, It was a blast. I hope your feeling happy now.......
I had the best experience of my life at your concert in Cambridge on August 28th 2019. When I was a child your music saved my life. I love you guys, you are the best!
Stunning, stunning, STUNNING!! An all-time classic - while working at Glasgow Airport for nine years, meeting many stars, Skin was the only autograph I asked for - a legend of the music industry....
Along with weak she just knocks it out of this world with hedonism, so much emotion. For me, right up there with the best tracks of all time. So underrated but not by us 😉
I don't know how but when she sings this song ... It really touches the heart in a way that we always find ourselves back through all kinds of heartbreaks ... If I feel hurt or sad she makes up every emotion that felt so real but did not always last ... So when I hear it I think back about the precious times but also can feel the sadness of what is no more ... That is her strength of love when she sings she touches your soul in all your choices of life ... Thanks, Skunk Anansie ...
Still rocking this song now in 2023. Still in Love with Skunk Anansie as when I was a teenager because she is so freaky hot.🥰 Anytime I am in great mood, I came and listen to this track 10 times on a row.🙃 It still feels like the first time and as if she is singing this song about me and for me!❤
I won't say why and how this song took me to the brink and back but I'm so glad that it resonates so deeply with many others too. It's an absolute gem and I always loved Skin's aggressive yet vulnerable, defiant yet broken delivery.
Why have I not heard of this band before! I only just discovered their music. Skin has amazing vocal range, the band are excellent musicians and together they create great music and lyrics. Will be listening to them more now.
I'm from Oz but lived in London most of the '90s - it was, without the question, the coolest place to live on the planet that decade. This song takes me back to that wonderful period. If and when this pandemic calms down I shall return for the first time in a long time.
I honestly think she is the most beautiful person I have ever seen or heard. She couldn't be any more perfect in my opinion. I hipe she continues making music for as long as possible.

One of the few songs that I can listen in any kind of mood. Loved it first time I heard it back in the 90's, love it now 20+ years later even tho I'm hip hop head.
One of the best guitar riffs ever. Fits the song perfectly. Especially in the last verse.
bass and guitar... on their own level. this song is just as relevantly funky today as it was then.
relevantly funky?
Yes. Because funk is relevant 😁
The bass sounds like some funk rock. But the guitar doesn't sound funky except for the solo part
Her voice is so heartbreaking, especially at the end...it seems to carry so much pain and sadness, and it's all because of "you" in the song.
Finally someone in here who understands the pure beauty and emotion that Skin's voice carries. Thank you
