Don't hotels get copies of your ID and credit card so you can't run out on it? Alana is going to have to pay. Who runs up over ten grand in bills and expect someone else to cover it when they didn't know about it? And the projecting. 😂😂😂

In every hotel I've stayed at, and especially higher cost ones, you have to pay in advance for your stay, whether it's online or at the front desk. The credit card is just for additional incidentals like room service. So a lot of this story does not make sense.
Every decent resort and hotel I've ever stayed in takes payment up front, and takes a credit card number for incidental charges like room service or spa visits.

OMG! I almost choked when I saw the price! There is no way I would let Alana try to gaslight me into taking on debt for her. She and her husband are ridiculous! RIDICULOUS !!! Wow, she realizes she had to pay the bill and says it too much that’s crazy! This is something I always warn my husband about when we are doing well financially keep it to yourself. Unfortunately some people are genuinely happy to see you doing well, they can become envious. It drives them to believe your good fortune needs to be shared.

Unfortunately I have a SIL that is like Alana, luckily she lives in another freaking state and a stunt she tried to pull about three years ago got her cut off by her whole family.

I've never heard of a hotel, and especially not a luxury one, that doesn't require you to pay for your stay in advance. They only charge for incidentals like room service after your stay is done.
The voice acting in this story was excellent! And they made a familiar story fresh and funny.
You want to wonder about the upbringing Alana and her husband had, but looking around my own family, we have two siblings that think the world owes them a living, and get nasty when you dont comply. I have been offiially disowned by one (actual court paper)😅because i bought my sons new clothes for school when my sib wanted me to pay for her breast implants

I felt guilty asking my sister for a small loan to cover my regular bills. I am paying her back now because I don't want that hanging over us. To ask someone to pay for not only $350 bar bill but then a $10,000 or more hotel bill? OMG What do they do that they don't have money? How are they living before staying with his parents? If I said that to my sister or brother-in-law they would just hang up and block me.
Going on the description of them at the end, it sounds like her and her husband should be in assisted living. Because they are unable to look after themselves.

I can't think of any hotel or motel, big or small, that I have stayed in during the past 20 years that hasn't required a credit or debit card at check in.

A honeymoon is for a couple, meaning two people. Not two people plus 1 or 2 (or more). And $10,000 is not a measly amount or drop in the bucket.
How the heck does someone run up that kind of bill? That would have to be a pretty freaking posh hotel for that price bc I've stayed in some top end hotels in various places and it didn't come to that for 2 whole weeks each time. (and once was a month in an apart-hotel in Dublin) Even got room service once in Toronto.
@@kme I guess it would depend on how much they used the room service and if they were in a suite. To my understanding, suites can be expensive but they are worth it for the extra space if you want. Either way, I agree. $10,000 for what they did is over the top.
@@RockDay-wv8jq idk, I suppose? Tho the place in Toronto was a suite. I had my son with me and hubby was supposed to arrive later, but in the mean time, I had a friend who lived in Toronto come stay with us in the suite and we ordered room service. It was fun. Hubby didn't end up coming over until a week later, so we had it to ourselves until then. (we lived in Edinburgh at the time...)

In Australia, you pay for your drink when you order and get it. None of this putting it on a tab, for later. So, it makes no sense. Also, staying at a hotel or whatever you pay before you stay. These do not make sense to me.

This have to be made up, nobody without any mental illness is that delulu, especially if Alana is Sawyer's sister that mean they were raised in similar way and he end up being actual responsible adult, but she was raised to be a child forever? Doesn't make sense.
