I was talking with some neighbors this summer when another one walked up to us and said “hey - why isn’t your husband ever at work?!?” I turned to him and said “I don’t know why you’re using that tone with me, but I will not answer your questions unless you can ask me politely. You have no authority over us.” He stormed off and I turned to the other neighbors and said “because it’s July and my husband is a teacher - that’s why”
