- Here lies David John Kohler and Steven Griffey. Steven’s cousin gave me permission to clean his grave and that’s how I found out that this little boys fate wasn’t a natural one. Sadly, I still do not know the actual COD. The death book listing for Steven Griffey is definitely wrong as it has him as being 73 years old and the birth and death dates are WAY off. I need my sleuths on this one!
UPDATE* a viewer states that this little boys death certificate states that he was hit by a vehicle while crossing the road. Poor little thing.
You have every right to vent . I feel you’ve earned it times 10💚
These babies would have been as old as me now. So happy that you are honoring them in this way. I was born in 1956.
Born in 1956 also. Thank you for taking care of these babies.
Children's graves always make me sad. They didnt have a chance to grow up.
David John's looks beautiful!! you can even see the daisy's
I went by there today and made a few more videos….you should see it now! David Johns and Steven’s are absolutely beautiful after only a few days. It’s quite impressive. Those will be show in our next video.
I just stumbled onto your videos. I want to say thank you so much for what you do. Please pay no attention to trolls, by you fixing the stones you show respect and show them mattered.
Thank you so much! And thanks for giving us a little of your time.
Beautiful transformation in these headstones, I always wonder when the last time their parents or any family popped by to see them. That’s why I love you giving them some attention ❤
I wonder the same. Seems like the vast majority have been a good while. For whatever reason.
I had a close friend who lost her baby daughter @ 7 weeks old in 1974. All these years the baby had no marker and no family visited. I was able to finally get one for her about 4 years ago. I am the only one who visits and puts flowers on. My oldest daughter is named in memory of her w/ a different middle name. At least I remember her and I still miss her to this day.
Thank you very much.
I have many many relatives buried in Virginia. Many in Buchanan county. Blankenship, Stacey, Burks. Thank you for being so kind and cleaning up these forgotten headstones.
Are those closer to the Tennesse line? Haven't heard of those and I have lived here my entire life.
@@VirginiaTombstoneRevival close to the Kentucky line. To be specific, Grundy, Blackey, Tazewell in Southwest VA. They were very rural mountain people. A lot of them are buried in family cemeteries in the mountains.
Thank you for all you are doing ❤️
My pleasure.
Children can still be mischievous even in the afterlife
I live in the U.K. and we also have problems with grass cutting crews
According to death certificate Steven was struck by an auto while crossing a street.
Thank you for finding this. Is there a way you can post that to his find a grave page? Poor little thing. My Uncle Jimmy was killed getting off the school bus in a similar manner. His headstone is where this channel actually began.
@@VirginiaTombstoneRevival I found it on Find a Grave. Someone posted a picture of his death certificate and it was noted on that.
Glad to see your subscribers are growing. Rightfully so 🙂
You do an amazing job, please keep doing this if you can? What made you start doing this? Be careful. Bless you 💜🦋
He said he got started as he had an uncle that was killed getting off a school bus.
kathyleighton is correct. It was my son's idea to clean my 8 year old uncles grave and it kinda went from there.
Not only do you do great work but I find the scrubbing sounds soothing. Thank you ❤😊
😊 thank you. Sometimes when editing I feel like that scrubbing may get annoying, so that is nice to hear.
I really like the before and after shots at the end. Thank you.
Thank you! I was actually just updating a lot of the find a grave pages on the kids headstones that we did last year to show their updated condition...the before and after transformation is always my favorite part.
you are amazing for doing this stay blessed
Little David J Koehler was born with congenital atelectasis which is the failure of the lungs to fully inflate, often seen in premature babies 😢😢
Thank you for finding all of this for us.
Thank you so much for honoring these sweet children!
Our pleasure!
Thank you for having a kind heart and honring these precious babies ❤lots of love from New Jersey and Ember 💕 ps Ember is my cockatiel he is a spoiled bird ❤
A bird is one animal I have never owned...well if you don't count chickens. LOL
Birds are a lot of work and very time consuming I waited a long time to get him I did have a chicken was I was a little kid lol
I just came upon your videos tonight or should I say morning. It's around 3AM here in Alabama. It's wonderful what your doing.
What is D2? I think I'm going to start cleaning children's tombstones. I have always loved going into old cemeteries. The some of the tombstones are amazing. Do you always have history on the children? It's very interesting. I'm going to binge watch right now. God bless you for what your doing.
One more question. Do you have to have permission to do this.
Thank you for watching....even at 3am. LOL. My son's mothers side of the family are from Alabama. He goes there often to visit. I have only been once. As for D2...it is a quaternary ammonium. It soaks into the stones and kills all of the biological growth overtime and the stones begin to turn a beautiful bright white. It's the same thing they use in places like Arlington National Cemetery.
What are these baby stones made of? It doesn't appear to be granite. Our cemeteries here also hit the vases & they break off or get broken. They're not replaced here either. Thank You for the service & respect you show for each of these graves.
I’ve seen a variety of different types. I’m no expert at stones sadly.
Another wonderful job, Christopher. It's interesting how the stones look 'so much worse' after you spray them down with the D2. Then after you do your magic the stones look brand spankin' new. You are awesome!
I know...that orange was so scary at first, but now that I know that is part of the process...the more orange it turns the more confident I am that in a few weeks it will look amazing.
My brother was born in 1956 this is so sad😢
Little Steven Griffey ran into the street and was hit by a car 😢 devastating as they all are
Ronin has come close to that himself. So sad for that family. I can’t begin to imagine.
I cremated my mom cause if i ever leave where i live i am taking her with not leaving her behind i loved her to much to do that to her
The lamb stones are so sweet. So sad.😞 Great work! Do you work all night shifts? How is Ronin? I hope you have a nice, safe week! Thank you!! 😊 P.S Shouldn’t the cemetery be helping to get the stones back in place, when they break like that?! That is something they should be doing!
I fully agree that they should be the ones fixing what gets broken or messed up....but clearly that isn't the case. It's almost like once they have your money they wash their hands of it aside from not so great grass cutting. As for my job, I rotate days and nights every two weeks. I haven't known what a normal sleep schedule is in over a decade. Haha.
@@VirginiaTombstoneRevivalYes! So many businesses are just about the money. Greedy. 😡Just terrible! How long have you been an officer? You must need to drink a lot of coffee! ☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️
Maybe the babies are the ones messing with your audio. They recognize. You’re a cool guy .
Has any parent ever been in touch to say thank you ❤
One parent sent a message where I had cleaned her daughter’s headstone a couple months ago and was very thankful. It was sweet of her. Most have been other loving relatives though as it seems a lot of the parents of these children have passed away themselves or moved away to start new lives.
Hey Chris you should figure out a way to attach your microphone onto your sunglasses. It is bouncing off your chest and creating vibration noises. Lol
was it the wind causing the feedback??? It's sad thinking about those babies. I would be devastated if that happened to me.
No. I just think it was rubbing against my shirt too much maybe? It wasn't windy at all that day as I recall. I picked up two different microphones last week and they seem to be much better as far as sound quality and feedback.
Is that another grave marker that Taff buried or does that belong to the bigger headstone? Looks like part of a cradle headstone.
Are you referring to the slab in front of Steven Griffey's headstone? I would assume that is all one plot, but I could be wrong. There was no writing on the flat slab and only the broken flower pot at the feet.
Interesting
Please turn on the captions!Thanks.
It takes time for TH-cam to generate auto captions for these. It is not something I do manually as that would take forever.
Ok,thanks for explaining.👍@@VirginiaTombstoneRevival
