VANDALIZED CEMETERY! Fixing and Cleaning Graves In Historic Slave Cemetery | Mahone Ingram Cemetery

  • Join us for a profound journey at the Mahone Cemetery, where we dedicate several days-and a month's worth of efforts-to restore and honor this historic site. In this video, we focus particularly on the grave of Manson Hamler, born in 1846, who most likely began his life in slavery. His grave, marked by the most impressive headstone in the cemetery, receives special attention as we carefully clean and preserve his memory.
The cleanup process involves clearing away cut trees and tidying the surroundings, a task made lighter by wonderful volunteers. A big thank you to Joy, Paula from the Murder Most Southern TH-cam channel, and her daughter for their invaluable help and companionship throughout this project.
Watch as we work together to preserve a piece of our shared history, paying respect to those who came before us and ensuring their resting places are remembered and respected.

      Robert:
(The following is not Judgemental nor Condescending, it is Discernment and a Request)
Please, (you guys/gals in your group), make a commitment to STOP Bare-hand removal of leaves. The Scorpion demonstrated why, and (there are other toxic venomous crawlers and snakes that lay in the leaves and debris).
Find gloves that are used to protect hands from such injury and invest the money/costs to be safe in your Explorations and Works.
"You can't afford not to do this.". There are younger folks that watch your Channel and I know you realize "the responsibility of your example".
Enjoy your Explorations and Passion with Conscious Thought, in Good Health, and with a practice of Safety.

Robert you are a good man my friend ! These people that are buried there probably don't have any family left there to take care of the graves. ( It's a shame ) . Believe me God has taken notice of what you do. It will come back to you in the future. Hope you read this. THANK YOU FRANK FROM MONTANA.......

So sorry to hear you had Covid. I went almost 3yrs before I had it last Nov. Not too bad just like the flu and out sick about 2wks. I went on Ancestry and shows Marriage record of Manson Hamler and Lizzie Dozier Aug 17 1870. She was 24 yrs old. They show 2 kids in I think 1870 or so census 2yr James and 3mo Mansen. Shows Lizzie as Farm Laborer.

Robert, kudos for what you do. I’m a veteran and I really liked what you were doing in that African American cemetery. I keep saying there’s no racism in this country just in some peoples minds. You get no credit for what you do. Some people should know what you’re doing out there in the world. God bless and take care my friend.

There are still racism in this country just like last year there was a white supremacy that shot and killed 10 black people up in Buffalo New York in a tops supermarket just because he did not like African American people now that's racism right there so this country still has racism in 2024.

All the stones you cleaned are looking so great. Loved seeing the update on everyone there. It's looking so good at the moment but like you say, very nervous about how quickly the cemetery is going to get overgrown. I'm so glad you've taken it on to document it in it's current state and do the cleanup. The significance of it is so easily overlooked but it is such important work. You are an inspiration as always!

I hope they don't come back and I also hope if they do, they are caught. Some people just were not raised right.

Hello from Portland, Oregon. About those cameras you received and an idea. If possible, get a tall latter and install those cameras high above the cemetery and cameras would be out of reach of those sticky fingered heartless thieves. Good luck on the cemetery restoration.

I think D-2 mixed up in like a backpack sprayer would be an awesome thing for people who maintain cemeteries to have on hand for regular maintenance. Especially once they’re cleaned up real well all that would have to be done is spraying them down on a regular schedule, maybe even like twice a year and they could really last almost forever. Considering how long these have stood while being eaten away by growth and weather. That stuffs a game changer.

I think when you use your hands, it’s personal, it’s like your family, it’s like God put that in you! Every time I see you using your bare hands it touches my heart!

Placing your Compassion into the Collective Consciousness is also a gift to the Collective, the whole of Our World and Universe.
You authentic thoughts, feelings, and actions, give positive value to all. 💛
    I appreciate this.
📚 In the near future the greater Public will come to know, realize, and comprehend, the fact that "Our Thoughts + Feelings" are energy and energy is eternal, it has value to the whole Frequency, and that Frequency is extremely revelant to our experiences.
Our "Thoughts + Feelings X Beliefs"
    = Our Individual (Frequency)
    = Our (Reality) we Experience
We each are Literally Creating our own Reality.
This is defined by the "Universal Law of Attraction" and it is Absolute.

Oh don't worry, hunny! The Lord knows and for them, people who harm children and animals; and destroy holy ground...there's a special place in hell for them! You keep up the good work and God bless!

Loved this!!! By the way, that little 'scorpian'' looked like what we call ''earwigs''; in Western NC...because, my PaPaw always told me they would crawl up in your ears...,they also love damp places, like basements...like here.
Earwigs and little scorpians seem to look similar....maybe in the same family?
