Hello, Im an LPT English major for Secondary level pero ang teaching experience ko lang po ay montessori (kindergarten) mga 8 years na din po. Question: how slim are my chances in getting a positive result in NZQA and obtaining a job? Do i have more chance sa ECE or secondary?

As per experience of a friend, the New Zealand Qualifications Authority is unable to assess her teaching unit qualification to an NZ teaching degree (since she doesn't have her teaching degree diploma). It could be different to your situation...The only way to find it out is to have your qualifications assessed by NZQA...it's quite expensive though...but it is through it that you will find out🙂

Last step...when you submit your documents to the Teaching Council...if 2014 is your latest experience,the teaching council might require you to take teacher education refresher programme as it has been 6 or more year lapse already after you had your last work experience..hope this helps.
I'm from Pakistan, my country is not in the list of exemption. I want to do assessment for my Master’s Degree from NZQA. So, is it possible to apply Add-on to my Bachelor’s degree for Long Term Skill shortage and do assessment on my master’s degree? I paid 610$ Including Add-on charges. Because I want to claim 70 points for my academic qualification and 15 points for skill shortage. Please advise!
If you are planning to register as a teacher in NZ, you should choose the NZQA-TEACHER Registration...it will allow you to add two other qualifications for the whole amount of 700nzd plus..see related video I have uploaded about NZQA... Why NZQA-IQA Teacher Registration?so that NZQA will assess your overseas qualifications against the NZ education framework..and make sure it is comparable to the education setting of NZ. I hope this is helpful.

As your course isn't education related, I am afraid it cannot be assessed towards NZ teaching qualifications....go for Standard IQA and pursue your career in Engineering, not teaching.

So how can I get registered with Teaching Council to teach in school. Also , as teaching council requires bachelor's (level 7) NZQA , getting Masters IQA will give assessment for bachelor's alongwith too or i have get it separately.

NZQA only assess completed degrees po...so hindi po....i hope this is helpful.

I did mine for 15 months with NZTC and spent 30k nzd po....

Yes...it is a must as it evaluates your degree to the New Zealand Framework. You won't be able to proceed without undergoing this process.
