Supervised Teaching Experience after graduating po...eto po yung classroom observations ni principal or ni master teacher po...you can support this by providing IPCR, Observation Checklists...I hope this helps po.

Secondary teachers are considered unqualified in ECE po..but if you want to proceed you need to study Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching ECE...hopefully this helps.

Hello teacher Lynn, Is it a must to have supervised teaching practice to apply for the practising certificate ? Will teaching experience in a school be enough after the master degree in education without supervised teaching practice?
Supervised teaching experience can be in a form of classroom teaching observations by your school prinicipal or head teacher... It not compulsory to have one, but this will affect the duration of your induction and mentoring stage in NZ to be fully certificated. Hope this helps!
I have done Teaching English as Foreign Language (TEFL) from Cambridge University, UK; furthermore, I am Cambridge Teacher's Passport holder, my highest qualification is MBA though. Want to teach English language in New Zealand and apply for PR. Is my qualification sufficient for teaching in New Zealand or I will have to get myself admitted to a degree course there before getting license?
You won't know until you get your qualifications assessed by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority with Teacher Reg Add On...This you will need if you want to become a registered teacher. However if you are only focusing to becoming a TEFL teacher, look around if there are any providers that would take you in as a trainor...not much I think as NZ is already an English Speaking Country.

I believe you are ready to go napo...please remember not being able to provide practicum certificate might have an implication towards the length of your induction and mentoring here in NZ...hope this is helpful.

As per discussion po...NZQA only assess finished courses/degree po...so they might have only assessed your Bachelor's degree...and Level 6 po ang result maybe because the school wasn't accredited when you earned your degree po.. you can carry on with your Teacher Registration via Discretionary Pathway...please research it po...but of course, you will also need to pass the language requirement po...would u mind if I ask if you are elem or secondary teacher?
In my case, I did not provide practicum certificate since jt is refected in the TOR already as Field Practice. However,.I secured IPCR, observation checklist and year end evaluation to support teaching practice/,experience. Hope this helps!

U can teach naman po in primary and high school.....just follow the steps...however, you are unqualified in ECE (If you are planning to teach in that sector) therefore need further stidy.

It is recommended that you get atleast 2 years of actual teaching experience....do tbe basic po like NZQA evaluation, language test and then teacher reg..the council will advise u if you actually need a classroom experience to be registered....all the best.

Nagturo po kasi ako nang thailand and indonesia. nahihirapan po kasi ako mag request ng year end evaluation kasi nasa pinas na ako. at wala po kami teaching mentoring program sa Thailand and Indonesia. only year end evaluation lang po. paano po yan teach? Okay lang po ba yan na wag na iskip nalang po yang ganyan na requirement?
You have to provide as it goes towards the Induction and Mentoring Evaluation/Programme and as a proof that you have teaching experience.. Latest one year end evaluation is fine, so long as you have.

If you have heaps of traching experience, secure atleast the latest 2-5 years...reference letters can be collected from your previous employers like principal, or head teachers...There is no suggested format, they can craft one for you attesting the quality of your teching practice, your role in the school, and your professionalism...hope this helps.!

Depende sa assessment result nyo po frim NZQA....if it is comparable to a traching degree then pwde po kayo mag.apply for teacher registration...and yes...needed po ang LPT.

Yes..dito n aq nag.aral. nope...partnership visa po ang pathway q kasi andito n asawa ko po..but yes..you can be a under student pathway visa...cost?30k nzd po with New Zealand Tertiary College...nag increase na siguro sila kasy yearly yung increase nila eh...undergraduate degree should be related to teaching po..so if unit earner ka po make sure na you have a diploma dun sa unit na kinuha mo if no diploma po malabo po buy you can try have it assessed by NZQA po para makakuha ka ng kasiguraduhan po unfortunately with NZQA, experience doesn't count...hopefully this helps.

Hi Chris...yes...discretionary pathway is a special pathway for teachers whose qualifications do not meet the core knowledge for NZ teacher registration...so yes..makakapagturo ka po. If you browse Hapuri Matatu Online community and search for discretionary pathway...makikita mo ang list of requirements...of course you have to cross language requirement first...I hope this is helpful.

That's fine....if they are really in need of teaching staff, then they will sponsor you with a work visa...not all employers though..but you will find one...for now, work out your registration, if possible, do volunteer work at a centre (if you are doing a course with field practise, skip this)...most employers prefer applicants with teaching experience🙂

Use your graduate diploma po if it says its meets the core knowledge and its comparable to NZ qualifications...Induction and mentoring can be Classroom Observation Tools used by school heads or anyone superior to you...IPCR too

Yes, you can po. However, I am afraid you need to take the Teacher Education Refresh Programme since it has been more than 6 years since you last taught (as per Teaching Council's regulation).
Have your qualifications assessed by NZQA po, and then you'll find it out. Your assessment result should not be less than Level 7...if lower po then you might go through discretionary pathway. Secondary teachers are considered unqualified in ECE po..but if you want to proceed you need to study Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching ECE...hopefully this helps.

Is it a must to have supervised teaching practice to apply for the practising certificate ? Will teaching experience in a school be enough after the master degree in education without supervised teaching practice?
Supervised teaching experience can be in a form of classroom teaching observations by your school prinicipal or head teacher...
It not compulsory to have one, but this will affect the duration of your induction and mentoring stage in NZ to be fully certificated.

I have done Teaching English as Foreign Language (TEFL) from Cambridge University, UK; furthermore, I am Cambridge Teacher's Passport holder, my highest qualification is MBA though. Want to teach English language in New Zealand and apply for PR. Is my qualification sufficient for teaching in New Zealand or I will have to get myself admitted to a degree course there before getting license?
You won't know until you get your qualifications assessed by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority with Teacher Reg Add On...This you will need if you want to become a registered teacher. However if you are only focusing to becoming a TEFL teacher, look around if there are any providers that would take you in as a trainor...not much I think as NZ is already an English Speaking Country.

As per discussion po...NZQA only assess finished courses/degree po...so they might have only assessed your Bachelor's degree...and Level 6 po ang result maybe because the school wasn't accredited when you earned your degree po.. you can carry on with your Teacher Registration via Discretionary Pathway...please research it po...but of course, you will also need to pass the language requirement po...would u mind if I ask if you are elem or secondary teacher?

In my case, I did not provide practicum certificate since jt is refected in the TOR already as Field Practice. However,.I secured IPCR, observation checklist and year end evaluation to support teaching practice/,experience. Hope this helps!

It is recommended that you get atleast 2 years of actual teaching experience....do tbe basic po like NZQA evaluation, language test and then teacher reg..the council will advise u if you actually need a classroom experience to be registered....all the best.

Al documents should be certified true copy of the original...yes...all the pages kailangan po ng stamp, date and signature na g magcecertify po.

Okay lang po ba yan na wag na iskip nalang po yang ganyan na requirement?
You have to provide as it goes towards the Induction and Mentoring Evaluation/Programme and as a proof that you have teaching experience.. Latest one year end evaluation is fine, so long as you have.

If you have heaps of traching experience, secure atleast the latest 2-5 years...reference letters can be collected from your previous employers like principal, or head teachers...There is no suggested format, they can craft one for you attesting the quality of your teching practice, your role in the school, and your professionalism...hope this helps.!

Yes..dito n aq nag.aral. nope...partnership visa po ang pathway q kasi andito n asawa ko po..but yes..you can be a under student pathway visa...cost?30k nzd po with New Zealand Tertiary College...nag increase na siguro sila kasy yearly yung increase nila eh...undergraduate degree should be related to teaching po..so if unit earner ka po make sure na you have a diploma dun sa unit na kinuha mo if no diploma po malabo po buy you can try have it assessed by NZQA po para makakuha ka ng kasiguraduhan po unfortunately with NZQA, experience doesn't count...hopefully this helps.

Hi Chris...yes...discretionary pathway is a special pathway for teachers whose qualifications do not meet the core knowledge for NZ teacher registration...so yes..makakapagturo ka po. If you browse Hapuri Matatu Online community and search for discretionary pathway...makikita mo ang list of requirements...of course you have to cross language requirement first...I hope this is helpful.

@@teacherlynn1144 sure dear🙏thank you so much, i was scared to apply because of my interm visa, because in our CV, we need to mention what we are currently doing, but will apply today.
That's fine....if they are really in need of teaching staff, then they will sponsor you with a work visa...not all employers though..but you will find one...for now, work out your registration, if possible, do volunteer work at a centre (if you are doing a course with field practise, skip this)...most employers prefer applicants with teaching experience🙂

Sa instruction sa teaching council website, designed yung form to be fill outed onscreen, which means ideally encoded details...Yung concern ko lang po is sa category B part gamit ko yung police clearance number natin sa Pinas, eh di siya kasya lahat ng numbers sa box na given under Document number. Na experience po ba ninyo eto? Ano ginawa ninyo po ?Thank you sa tulong

I feel as a Filipino whose major is Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, the chances of being hired directly are a bit slim. Would getting a masters in Secondary Science Teaching make me more employable, particularly by direct hire to New Zealand?

With the Teaching Council or NZQA po?wait nyo lang po by 18 and if you don't hear anything from them, try reaching them out....don't stress yourself po..keep the faith burning!

Use your graduate diploma po if it says its meets the core knowledge and its comparable to NZ qualifications...Induction and mentoring can be Classroom Observation Tools used by school heads or anyone superior to you...IPCR too
@@teacherlynn1144 The teaching assessment of my graduate diploma says it does not meet the core knowledge because my bachelor degree is level 6 so I need to go through discretionary pathway. I see! I got Teaching Appraisal and Observation already from my department head. Thanks a lot.

Hello Teacher Lynn. I'm interested to teach in NZ. Would it be possible for me since I have been a DepEd supervisor for 7yrs now and no longer a classroom teacher since 2009. I had 11yrs experienced as a classroom teacher.
Yes, you can po. However, I am afraid you need to take the Teacher Education Refresh Programme since it has been more than 6 years since you last taught (as per Teaching Council's regulation).
Hi, i did Bsc in education degree in aldersgate college in solono, Philippines. And is it recognized in New Zealand ( can it be scored nzqa 7 ?)
Have your qualifications assessed by NZQA po, and then you'll find it out. Your assessment result should not be less than Level 7...if lower po then you might go through discretionary pathway.

If your degree was granted accreditation before graduating...most likely you will get a Level 7🙂
