Build an ISLAND Part 1 | Rental Friendly | STEP BY STEP | DIY Tutorial

Here's a DIY video (part 1 of 2) on how I made a kitchen island for my friends' rental apartment! How did you secure the base to the floor?

I didn’t! Because it was a rental. The whole island is too heavy to move out of place so that worked out well. But if your place isn’t a rental, then you can drill a few nails from the cabinet down into the floor to anchor it!

I have a rental unit as well. I am considering this since I have a very big kitchen with high ceilings. However, everything you’ve done, I would have to do here; painting, the build, Etc and I don’t know how yet lol but thank you.
