I am in a rental and it is a tiny house. Or an open floor plan. My bed is in my living space. I need ideas how to make that work

I’m new to your channel and I’m really enjoying it. I have a question about rugs. My home is a big open concept area and I use rugs to create zones. There is still lots of floor in the walkways and hallways. Should I use runners there or is that just too many rugs! 😅
Can you address that here for me or in a video for all of us who are not sure how many rugs are ok? And how matchy or just carrying hints of a color, style from one to the other area rug, etc
      Thank you so much!
      Ruby

I lived in an apartment in Los Angeles that had gorgeous bones - the walls rounded into the ceiling, there were beautiful archways & the whole place had that historic building feel. I decorated in an eclectic french country style, but the walls really needed custom paint. I had seen those beautiful mottled yellow/gold walls in restaurants in France, as well as those really pretty faded mint green finishes in pastry shops in Paris. The walls were painted in the standard white so I knew I could easily get them back to how I found them.
BUT THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY LOVED WHAT I DID SO MUCH they asked me to leave it! The manager actually got more in rent and had people falling over themselves to get my place when I moved.

I’m a renter. I’m in the process of painting the lower cabinets in my kitchen with Behr’s high gloss Carbon black. The upper cabinets and walls are still the original cream. I have black and white photos of the area in the middle of the wall as a backsplash, blending everything nicely. It looks so cool!

If my landlord isn’t a fan, we have a paint gun, and can quickly paint it back to a neutral color in two coats, primer first and then a lighter color of their choice.
Just know that is something you’ll need to do when you’re leaving!

I’m in a rental and plan on using some of these tips and tricks. One thing I found is Amazon carries a closet rod that hangs from the existing one so you can easily turn it into a double hanging wall - plus it extends so you can do a shorter or longer section. This helped me a lot!

When I first started living in apartments, I was so used to college dorm and apartment rules that I was quite resistant to putting up pictures! But then my husband, a much more seasoned mover and apartment dweller was like, "Dude, put this on the walls, these tiny nails hardly do anything and they can be easily filled." -- I've always loathed the look of most temporary hooks and was so grateful, lol!
Now the place we've had for almost four years has pretty unsightly, unevenly patched walls and dated fixtures, as well as some pretty old doors, cabinets, etc. It wouldn't be worth the investment at this point to store and replace light fixtures, but luckily our furniture, lamps, and decor (and a vaulted ceiling) have brought a lot of warmth to make it feel like home. However I just might ask what our options might be for painting the main wall a different color.... They'll need to repair some wall & paint damage from an old leak anyway, so I'm thinking the odds are in my favor 😁

Ine idea for a video , something that I would need: a review of the most useful items for home renivations, their look and the vocabulary / names of those items and their usage. I don’t realy have an idea what is out there very handy for little repares and creations. Going to wearhouse is overwhelming ans hard to chose . Thank you.

I still have the centre bracket to put up if it's going to hold some new longer thicker curtains. I have no idea how to use a drill, how far to drill in, what size bit, etc so I haven't bought one & no one wants to come do this small job. Thanks if you could help would be great.
