Hi - thanks for posting. When I was hauling my 2002 Yamaha 60 HP last fall it stopped running one mile from the ramp. It wouldn’t start until I moved the lever to the on position and it would only stay running in that position and only essentially at idle speed. I was able to limp to the ramp thankfully and was grateful for having that switch. Your comment about the oil ratio makes sense but I think I should be fine because it wouldn’t run above idle speed. I just finished rebuilding the carbs and will install them later today and hope for the best. I can confirm your assertion that this idle circuit provides fuel to the middle carburetor.
Absolutely helped thanks! Can you do a video on the prime start aswell? There isnt any videos out there. I am use to EFI and other starting. My key doesnt push down so idk what way to get that cold start going. I had no idea about this red lever though!
