Do note that speedrunning isn't comfy. They spend a ton of time studying how to approach a monster's moveset, then use do-or-die builds and reset their runs dozens of times as they get carted in the hopes of setting a PB or WR. Slotting more durability in regular play is still important. You'll get wins a lot faster than you would if you were built like a glass cannon who keeps failing the mission. Looking at all you, SOS people who come in with speedrun builds then cart my team to failure.

I had a shatterhorn. Health boost 3 is honestly very important in this fight. I also had 3 partbreak + divine blessing combo deco. If you plan on using moxie, make sure that you have 20 fire res. That way if it procs on a fire move, you won't get killed by the fire blight. You can eat for an elemental resistance meal for that.
for how powerful the lore claims elder dragons are, fatalis really takes the cake. this fight actually feels like you're taking on the harbinger of the apocalypse.
5:50 That winding fire breath attack really is a pain isn't it? I find myself getting hit by it all the time, it's like they intentionally made it to fuck with the trained reflex of rolling diagonally towards the monster.

At 6:25 how in the world do you do that? You double note play for melody effects extended but I only see the red note animation and it skips the orange note attack
You can queue 2 notes during the flourish (double swing). I have a mod that changes the color of my notes but if you pay attention, my glows twice here. During the 1st swing and the second swing.

After 4 days, I finally killed him today with my friends. I now can make myself this weapon and armor set. Not I will try soloing it with Hunting Horn.
I have Divine Blessing lvl5, 31 fire resistance and 1040 defense and 2 Fortify buffs. How did you survive the attack at 3:25? That move does like 60% of my hp but only did 45% to you. How?
I thought you needed Fortify on your set to maintain the bonus from a different set carting? EDIT: I see it on your set at the end, but the set card in the beginning doesnt include it.
That custom EFX is tied to the Gogmazios Hunting Horn that I showcased on the channel. You can find more info on it in the description of those videos.
It extends the duration of all the "active" melodies by a set amount. It's 30s normally, 40s with horn maestro 1 and 50s with maestro 2. So each time I play this song, it adds 50s to the timer of my current active buffs. Keep in mind that the duration of a buff has a limit and you can go over that. For example, Attack up L with Horn Maestro 2 lasts 4 minutes. Even if I spam melody extended over and over, it will not go over the 4 minute mark.

Ah yes Monster Hunter, my favorite game where you get to beat a giant fire-breathing dragon to death with a guitar made out of it's own parts.
The run is incredible, but I'm more focused on the fact the hunting horn sings Fatalis theme when performing!

Fatalis 4 piece setbonus gives +100 hp/stamina and doesn't stack with health boost and food hp buffs. So here he has 200 hp and stamina
