Hey you ! For those who are curious : The HP/Stamina boost from wearing 4 pieces of the Fatalis armor is only active if: you start a quest with that set, or after carting with it. Since I'm using a different set to proc fortify, I cannot get that HP boost. This is why I had health boost 3 in this set. Another thing to note is that heroic is percentage-based (active when you have 35% HP or lower). This means that if my health bar is bigger, I can have a lot more HP while being in heroic range. Knowing this was key for trading some moves or avoiding certain death during the nova. Heat guard nullifies the damage taken from the lingering fire puddles in the last phase. That's how I was able to survive comfortably. If you were wondering, this is what I had in the mantles : - heavy artillery was in my temporal mantle. - Evade Extender 2 in my evasion mantle. @@ethanwilliams2680 Dragon waves or Echo attack (spinning move). Dragon Waves will deal more damage than impact and that's more than enough to offset the partbreaker boost you would get for using IEW. I did not showcase dragon waves fully here because I realized this afterwards.

This was incredibly satisfying to watch. There's always something just so appealing about seeing how HH hits for a surprising amount of damage with the simplest of hits. The knowledge and experience to animation cancel the longer attacks and the predictions leading into a clean head hit are superb. I've casually messed with HH for the past year but i can truly say that it is only recently that i've begun to truly have genuine fun with it. I'm nowhere near this level but this is absolutely something to aspire towards.

What a champion! I try hard as ever to beat difficult monsters and though I don't come close to speedrunning at 20 minutes this monster really helps you see how much slower other monsters are. Its Insane how better I got at hunting simply not giving up. Thanks to guys like you always inspiring me.

Never thought how well Fire Emblem music would fit with the Fatalis fight. While prepping and flying in, I can't remember that song's name for the life of me, it's the battle prep theme from Three Houses, Fierce as Fire or something? Then ya got God Shattering Star into Twilight of the Gods and the victory music Heritors of Arcadia... god, I am a Fire Emblem nerd aren't I? That aside though, amazing run, I could never do this with Hunting Horn, not to mention while using Heroics, you must've put some crazy time in planning out this run.

If you saw what happened on the 1st down, my recital attacks didn't crit. This is because Fatalis was not enraged and also the head wasn't tenderized. To avoid having to deal with missing critical hits, I preferred the echo waves. They deal good damage and cannot crit so it was perfect for this. Impact echo waves helps with breaking the head since it has a higher part break modifier. Dragon Wave is really good on the head (dragon weakspot).
All those evasions are on point. Always enjoy watching your Doot skills in action. At the same time, it makes me feel a little envious because I never hit those numbers per hit even if I mimic your armor and deco selections. Also...man...that music.....simply Brilliant. Great Run!
That solo run was so disgustingly sweaty that i need to go shower just from watching it, seriously well done! 👍 I’ve been using the HH alot lately and i really wish i started using it earlier in the game considering i bought MHW when it first released, but im definitely not good enough with HH to pair it with Heroics and dodge every single attack and not get carted like you 😂
Fantastic run! I must say, you are my biggest inspiration for me to play the Hunting Horn. I've managed to slay Fatalis twice with my friend with the SA, but now I want to try with the Hunting Horn. I can't seem to get constant three-digits damage though, as you do in the video, even when using the same HH (I am not using Heroics btw, too scary lol) Does the damage numbers depend a lot on the raw attack or the elemental attack? Also, what skills should I focus on to max out in HH builds for hunting Fatalis? I am also a newcomer to the MH series so watching your videos educate me so much. Thanks, Amadeus, happy hunting!
No one responded it seams. I'm a HH main, so I can answer some things for you. Consistent 3 digit numbers is easy SO LONG as you are hitting weak points. His chest and head/neck. You don't need to tenderize those for 3 digits (no heroics or fortitude). For HH, raw is most important, HOWEVER if a monster is very weak to an element, ele HH can out damage raw. For fatty, raw is best I'd say. Against him, he has a lot of skills that evade window help with, but just focus on damage with horn maestro lvl 2. If you've ever seen avatar the last airbender, HH fits perfectly for Toph. It's a weapon that you have to wait and listen, before attacking. If you have an iffy window of attack, reset and wait for a good opening to attack.
I know I'm late to this video but I'm trying to beat fatalis for the first time and was watching this to try and get some tips. Is there a reason you use the echo waves you use? I assumed dragon was best against fatalis but you seemed to prioritize impact. And when you performed the echo waves, you had one dragon and two impact queued. During openings, should I start using impact waves instead of dragon? Thanks for this video it was very informative and impressive too.
is there some flinch immunity at 1:08 in the hit that deals 360 damage? The Flinch free song does not seem to be active at that point. Superb music choice!
Wow, the dodges and punish timing is perfect. Takes practice, how many runs before you got to this point? There is some luck in the way the AI behaves, but this is mostly skill.
Question: Is it better to use "All Melodies Extended" song over using the same song to refresh it? Does it only at add specific amount of time to the song list, or does it refresh them completely? If it adds time to the current song lists, can it exceeds the the cap for them? (ex: 7min for Mov&Att goes to 7min 30s, adding 30secs per use) Would really appreciate some answers.
All melodies extended refreshes the duration of every horn buff (your own buffs, teammate buffs, and even palico coral orchestra buffs) by 50 seconds (maestro 2) for every member on your team. It does not extend it past the cap. It does refresh the song more if you use the actual song, but melodies extended has two main advantages. 1: it refreshes the duration of all horn buffs (for most cases it will just be self imp and atk up XL), so you can play one song to refresh them both. 2: because of the note pattern, it is very easy to line up while attacking. Most songs use purple notes in them and because left swing and forward slam aren’t used that much as attacks, it can be hard to line up those songs while still fighting. Hoped this help clear some stuff up
