Some thoughts regarding the fight for HH users : - Element is key. Here I was using an experimental set built more towards raw. You definitely want to go elemental boosting. The more element you have, the easier it will be to get the "elemental break" topple (it can happen more than once before the nova). It also makes sure that you weaken the power of Escaton Judgment. - Coalescence is appreciated ! If you do not want to deal with the blights, consider using blight resistance lvl3. - You do not need to tenderize the head as much as I did here. Alatreon's head hitzone is very high. Tenderizing has diminishing returns, the higher the hitzone is. If you get a claw stagger, what you can do instead of using the finisher is jumping down and using forward slam into echo attack. That's it for now. Good luck hunters!
I think coalescence would definitely shave off a significant amount of time considering how easy it seems to proc here. Don't have a clear idea of the hitzones so not sure what kind of set would be optimal. Looks like a good matchup for HH though! EDIT: Just saw Asterisk's hitzones tweet, I think you have the right idea with the raw focused set. {85 blunt 14 element} is super lopsided
Great run! I noticed that the meta safi-khana set is doing a lot less damage all around than this raw set. Do you think raw is better than element from a speedrun perspective?
@@poetic_schism299 Probably AuXL because the raw damage you are doing to alatreon (or probably any monster) is proportionally higher than the elemental damage. Whereas it could be helpful if you're struggeling to decrease the nova damage..

Why do you sprint into the wall when using items? Is the sprinting item consumption animation shorter than stationary? Or is it to avoid a turn around animation or stand to sprint animations?
This is probably a dumb question but does attack boost affect the damage output of an elemental weapon or only element attack boost (fire, ice, thunder etc) does? I'm aware attack boost increases raw damage but does that increase overall damage output?
He shows his build at the end of the video. He’s using a standard MT/ Agitator build with a Safi fire horn. Attack up L melody, and rest of the awakenings are element. All his skills are basic attack stacking, like critical eye and crit boost and weakness exploit, as well as blight resist 3 to avoid dragonblight. I’d put in fire attack skills over agitator, just to make sure you can hit the elemental DPS check. Use a fire charm V and you should be good to go, but using a lvl1 slot to hit max fire attack could also be a good idea.
As I fail time and time again with different weps, decided to watch Maestro Deus's vid. Say "fuckit" and went with Kjarr Pipe Dragon + full Safi. And it is comfy as hell! Thx maestro for providing clarity in these trying times
Squallcloud95 I was also surprised. Wonder how it scales in multiplier? Was rocking full Safi with kijar dragon but no luck in multi so far. Altreon is a master of wasting everyone’s time with this flying around bs.
