Jennie was probably first because she's the most popular member in Korea. Next is Rosé, then either Lisa or Jisoo (those two haven't been confirmed yet)

Jennie ranked as No. 1, followed by Jisoo ranked as No. 4, Lisa ranked as No. 23, and Rosé ranked as No. 25. Jennie ranked also as No. 1 and No. 2 this past November and December brand reputation respectively.

@@deadroses7533 It's not really a big deal but it's a wrong info, all of them are popular but there it's a difference, Jennie is really popular. And this always was like that in Korea, you just had the wrong info(probably it's the same with other people), Jennie has a fanbase since she collaborated with G Dragon.

In case you didn't know Jennie co-wrote the lyrics of the song. She participated in producing the song. She co-choreographed the whole choreography of it. It's most of her ideas used in the MV scenes. It's all her choices in the outfits(22 outfit changes).
She mentioned all that during her live countdown release.
In her SOLO diary it was revealed that she also wrote the group's song 'Stay'.
That's cool! Glad to hear the artist having input.

But beyond that, it's a really strong debut, and I hope the rest have as much success as her with their solo debuts.
It's the YG president who make decision, And Jennie is ready in every way to go solo. And as someone mentioned it, each of them will have their own solo soon.

As has been said, all the BP girls are having solos; it will likely follow the same pattern as Big Bang, who had each member do a solo which then formed half the tracks on a full length album. Sub units are commonplace too- different members releasing under a different name. It's more common for larger groups, obviously, and especially for male groups, since they usually have members going to do their mandatory military service at some point over their contract length. Jin from BTS is going into the military at the end of the year, so there will likely be more BTS solo/sub unit projects coming soon.
It's funny you should mention Gashina; your ears are becoming well attuned, perhaps. Both Gashina and Solo were written and produced by the same person, Teddy Park.
In October, I saw a casting call ad for a day's work (where I live) to film 'a Korean music video'. They didn't offer any specifics, but it paid £85 for the day, which isn't bad! Being lazy, I didn't take it up - it turned out to be for this, and needless to say, I'm a little bitter. It was mostly filmed in Hayes, West London, about half an hour's drive from where I live. G-Dragon also filmed a video here (albeit in East London) for his song 'Crooked' (which is pretty good, if you wanna check it out), so maybe YG likes this city for MVs and I'll get another chance...
If you wanna react to other stuff that came out recently, I'd recommend Apink's new single %% (Eung Eung). They're a legendary group in their own right (they debuted back in 2011, I think) and this song is currently my favourite out of everything they've done and my song of the year so far (I know, it's only been 18 days). It's got a nice 80s influence to it, excellent vocals (as ever) and the chorus is ludicrously catchy.
To followup more (bring back the double features!) on some of the groups you've reacted to already, I'd recommend:
Day6 - Days Gone By (a complete 80s homage, totally different to Shoot Me)
Blackpink - Stay (peaceful acoustic lovesong, totally different from everything else they've done) and the other 3 tracks from the Square Up EP (they're all easily capable of being lead singles)
Twice - Like Ooh Ah (their debut), Likey, Heart Shaker and What is Love? (a particularly good music video where they act out various movie scenes, see if you can guess them all...)
Girls' Generation - it's hard to choose just a few since they're so important and have so much, but a selection of their hits to see just how diverse and great they are - I Got a Boy, The Boys, Lion Heart, Run Devil Run... (I know Honan knows Gee and Catch me if you Can already at least)
EXID - Up and Down, I Love You, Ah Yeah, Hot Pink... they're such an underrated group and their style is so distinctive, with sexy, hushed singing or cool and hard rapping in the verses combined with absolutely belting high notes in the choruses in a totally different genre, let alone beat
Mamamoo - Delcalomanie, Wind Flower, Starry Night (also a group with a combination of powerful rapping and atmospheric singing, but in a very different way, though like EXID they make 'sexy music')
Red Velvet - literally their entire discography (okay, you can stick to singles, but they really are that good). Happiness (their debut as 4 members, reverb drenched electric guitars, anti-chorus and power vocals), Ice Cream Cake (just a kaleidoscope of sound), Dumb Dumb (ended up as the top kpop entry in Rolling Stone's best girl group songs of all time list a couple years ago), Russian Roulette (more busy sounds and another MV about murder), Red Flavor (the ultimate summer bop)...
Sunmi - Siren, Heroine (less in your face, more 80s pop than Gashina)
4Minute - Crazy (their definitive song)
2NE1 - I Am the Best (truly iconic)
and I guess I should mention boys too:
BTS - Dope (with a particularly interesting use of a saxophone sound), Mic Drop remix (mostly in english), Fire (features lots of fire), Save Me (like Dope, shot in a single take), Spring Day (particularly cinematic and moving as it was written from the ferry disaster that happened a few years back, but musically is nice because it uses full band instrumentation mostly)
SHINee - Ring Ding Dong (a classic early hit) and Good Evening (a recent hit, going from that old electropop to tropical house is an interesting journey)
EXO - The Eve, Love Shot (two songs that could turn anyone gay, tbh)
I'll stop now, but in the future maybe I'll do a similar one for groups you haven't checked out yet.

Jennie is the first member to go solo cause she trained the longest before debuted, and she’s also the face of the group, she also can dance, sing, and rap. All members will have a solo debut as well, starting from jennie and then Rosè the main vocalist so on and on.

It's quite common for some idols to have solo songs, some of them have a strong solo career like Taeyeon from SNSD or Zico from Block B. There are a lot of "sub-units" too: groups with only a few members of a group. EXO for example has the sub unit EXO-CBX with only 3 of its members (Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin).
I still recommend KARD - You In Me and K.Will - Please Don't :)
YG made an experiment here, it's not the first time when he does it with a group. If Jennie(the member who is very popular in Korea and internationally) didn't had success, he would have cancelled the plan for the other members, she actually had the pressure of the whole BP. BP is huge tho so all of them will have solos for sure. It's a little similar with Gashina at structure because of Teddy(the same producer). Anyway, I think that the most BP's fans would agree that Jennie had to be the first one.

i've not read anything explaining why Jennie was the first of the solo songs but i have two theories: although all the girls are popular i think YG sees Jennie as the jewel in the Blackpink crown. she was the first member revealed and the first recruited as a trainee and with features on GD's 'Black' etc she already had a fanbase so even though there's no leader in Blackpink i still think YG sees Jennie as the #1 member - and Korea is big on hierarchy.
secondly, Jennie was outed over new year as being in a relationship with Kai from Exo. given the strict control managers have over members it's a bit ridiculous to believe YG wasn't aware of this and from what i've read, Dispatch (who broke the news) tries to buy their silence before breaking the news. it wouldn't surprise me if releasing Jennie's solo just before the news came out was intentional - but who knows, it's just a theory.
can't wait for the other three solos to be released too.

Jennie went solo first because possible theories. First to be recruited as trainee. First to be revealed as BP member. Most popular in SoKor. Got most of modeling contracts. Got most appearances and guestings on shows. Fine brand model. Good vocal quality. Super rapping skills. Great visual. Most of all, there is just something with her that you can really say she deserves it.
My Bias is Jennie but we all are waiting for other members and their full album and/or comeback as well.
You might wanna react to other groups too like BigBang, 2ne1, SHinee, Super Junior, TVXQ, Winner, IKon and EXO. These are boygroups. For girlgroups, 2ne1, Girls Generation, Wonder Girls, 4Minute, Twice, G-Idle and CLC.

By seniority Jennie is the longest trainee in blackpink and she has a lot of media exposure so she got the solo gig first. The "Bish" lyrics does actually seem to be "Bitch" cuz in korean it wasn't translated so it's like "Bish (Bitch) Im going solo".
jennie had the first solo as she is the leader of the group.every group has their leader's solo coming up first.after that i don't know the order.it depends.

I think, the reason why she was the first solo member is because she's the most popular member in Korea and she can RAP, SING and ofc, Dance too. Lisa can also do all three but Jennie is known for acing all three areas. She is also has a strong/powerful vocal so yeah.
YG said that Rosè is the next member to go Solo and I think, Jisoo is next then Lisa. Y'know, Lisa is the most popular member of the group internationally so I think, she'll be the last solo to hype up her fans. Anw, let's all support all of their solo activities.

The song is a collab between Luna (Fx) Solar (Mamamoo) and Hani (EXID.) all three of which are fantastic singers and the song really showcases that IMO.

Each member is going to do a solo but they wanted to do them separately. Jennie was chosen to go first and it is rumored that Rose will be the next one to have a solo. But all of them are going to end up having a solo.
Their doing mini albums where each member gets to go “solo”. BTS did the same in their new album where the album hosts songs from individual members that string together for a storyline.

Apparently "Bichi naneun solo" is a play on words to sound like "Bitch, I'm going solo" when you translate it to English. Witty lyricist.
