Thank you everyone who has been giving us the awesome information, we wanted to watch a double feature of BLACKPINK for this episode. We appreciate everyone letting us know more about this amazing group, especially all their hard work! The dance videos are crazy, we can't imagine how many hours of practice it takes for each new song. We will also make sure to watch the other videos from BLACPINK, but please recommend more!!

A big part of how their voices are easy distinguishable is where they were raised. Jisoo is the only one who did not group up with English predominantly around, so she has the typical "Korean" accent in singing. Rose has a slight Aussie accent along with Jennie kinda(she was from New Zealand tho). Lisa has kind of an American sound. It is just unique how that makes their voice so different.

The producer for their big hits is a guy named Teddy. One change of pace song for them is Stay. Rose (in green in your BB pic) and Lisa (blonde hair) both play guitar, but Rose also plays piano. Lisa is the main dancer, so you’ll see she stands out in the dances a little more.

I gotta say, I fully appreciate that you guys are listening and even enjoying the music. You seem like the type that appreciates even if you're not a fan. Like k pop does this thing where no matter what you're into theres something for you on the album. I think its also important for like us metal musicians to listen to a lot of music because it influences us whether we see it or not.

Lisa is known for learning dance routines in less than an hour actually (hence why she's main dancer). She currently does a solo dance on tour, and she learned that choreography (which the teacher spend weeks on) in less than an hour. She also learned the dance to 'Red Flavour' by red velvet and 'What Is Love' by twice after just watching the video once live. She's amazing

yes they perform live everyweek on tv music programs (KBS MUSIC BANK, MBC MUSIC CORE, SBS INKIGAYO, MNET MCOUNTDOWN, and more ....) which people can buy ticket to watch them, at least 1 to more than 5 times a week as normal thing for any singers, idol groups to do in Korea ...in korea, whenever groups releases new songs, they are compulsory to perform on music shows 4, 5 times everyweek

Loved this reaction! Coming from someone that listened to everything from classical to death metal. I don't believe anyone can say they love music if they only like a certain type of music. I only discovered K- pop 4 years ago by stumbling across the Mnet channel watching late night tv. The station plays back to back music all night. I liked your comment about "melting pot" because I've often thought that about K-pop. America is the melting pot for people, K-pop is the melting pot for music. The so many transitions in one song on tempo, feel, and emotional swing are only comparable to classical music. Even BP's dance threw in some Bollywood to go with hip-hop. Impressive. And I agree with you that they are clubby because that's what teenagers like. Every boy or girl group in the world is reaching out to teens because that is their demographic. Teenagers spend more money on music than all other demographics combined. They just hope the music is good enough to reach the "ever-present-kid" in all of us adults. And YG(Teddy) is very good at that. A composer. What a great open-minded, thoughtful and truthful reaction. I have to subscribe now. And good luck in your all your musical endeavors. I can't remember who coined the quote, "Took me 15 years to become an "overnight success".

Lisa is the one that you like she is from Thailand, she is usually the one who raps, she is also the maknae in the group (The youngest) also she always has the bangs!
Jennie is another one that raps she went to New Zealand to study English so she has an accent, and she has brown long hair she is the second oldest in the group!
Jisoo is the visual in the group she is also the leader and she is the oldest in the group she was born in Korea so she can't speak English that well, she is the one with the darker hair!
Rosé is the second youngest in the group she is the one with the brighter hair color, I think she was born in Australia so she speaks English pretty well and she has an Aussie accent!

There’s a group called Stray Kids that has some songs with rock elements that you might like. They write and produce their own music. “Awaken” and “YAYAYA” are the more rock influenced songs. Their latest title track is called “District 9” and it’s really good too.
