Any advice on the L and R buttons? With mine everything works except those buttons

Where did you get the 6 pin header?

Is there any drawbacks to cutting past that cylinder in the wire at 3:11?

I cut the barrel out completely. You can keep it but you may find it difficult to solder the connection back into the controller board as the case may not shut with the barrel connect. I guess it depends where your controller frayed at.

NHL 2K6. One of the best hockey games around.

Would you know if it's possible to replace the trigger spring in a S controller's trigger? One of them is squeaky

Yes it is but it usually has to come from a donor controller. I had to replace one a few years ago where the L trigger jammed and I believe it took awhile to desolder the whole thing and resolder it.

Hi, I got a question. I bought Duke with Frayed cord and fixed it. But I left Gray? cord without soldering it to the metal shielding. I believe it is ground. Do you know leaving that like that would cause problems?
I also had to take out that barrel shaped plastic thing from the cord. What is the use of that thing? I see them occasionally on cords.

If the controller works then I wouldn't worry about it. I remember hearing what those barrels were used for but now I can't remember. If I recall I'll update this.
