Ok looking back at this… It hurts. Knowing what Drake went through. His friendship with Josh was something that made him forget the bad times. And it ended up being this. Josh saying they were never friends.
I'm so glad Josh called Drake privately to show support and help him get through the aftermath and impact of his story in the documentary. Josh came through for Drake when he really needed it. They may not be close and it's complicated but they will always have a bond. They have a specific experience of having a tv show together that no one else can identify with or understand.
the way drake speaks about josh with such fondness and adoration and respect despite all the negative things josh constantly has to say about drake genuinely makes my heart break for him. drake deserves so much better I hope during this healing journey he starts to receive the respect he always gave to others

Josh even said in a TH-cam video in 2018 (I forget the name of the TH-camr but it was in a car), that they had a specific experience of having a tv show together that no one else could identify with or understand, and that he has a deep love for Drake. And that they will always be in each other's lives. I pray for healing for both of them... as individuals and for their relationship.
After “Quiet on the set”, the aftermath interviews from the documentary (especially on “The Man Enough” podcast) and watching this podcast, all I want to do is give Drake a hug 😢❤

Drake, despite the trash Josh talked about him, Drake always treats him with respect. It is clear that Josh was always envious of Drake and the reboot was the perfect opportunity for Josh to brag about himself, I would even say that it seems that Josh was not only envious of Drake, but also hated him for all the success Drake had.
It’s pretty clear that Josh Pecks publicist told him to distance himself as far from drake as possible, it’s just shows to what low lengths people will go and to go on multiple podcasts to lie about another person to survive in Hollywood to still get roles. It’s just sad. We’re with you Drake
It seems like Josh’s script was meant to cut Drake down a few notches and basically mock him. So, as a wife myself, I can’t say I blame Janet for her snark. When I get hyped up I cut my husband off because he’s a softy and I’m more aggressive lol. It’s clear that there’s an issue there, whether it’s all in Josh’s head or there’s something that we who don’t know the situation personally will never know…either way, I believe Drake.
It's so sad that their "friendship" is so one-sided. I mean, I'm glad that Josh reached out privately to Drake after the documentary, I'll give him credit for that. I just don't see them ever being close like when they were kids. There is plenty of evidence of them hanging out after D&J (JOSH"S OWN TH-cam CHANNEL!), so I don't know why Josh is claiming they were never friends. It really feels like Josh was just using Drake to keep his name out there, like, "Hey, I'm the Josh part of Drake and Josh! I'm still around!" I can understand being jealous of Drake as kids as Drake was more popular with the girls (and Drake can sing), but they are adults now. Drake is so forgiving and willing to keep Josh into his life, but Josh just seems done. It feels like we're seeing the episode of D&J when Josh was "done" being Drake's brother played out in real life. It's so sad. My heart hurts for Drake. The show was literally keeping Drake sane during the hardest time of his life and Josh wants to erase it from his history. I pray for peace and reconciliation for both of them, especially knowing what a nightmare working for Nickelodeon could be. No telling what Josh experienced, but it's sad he's taking it out on Drake.

I think I'm gonna buy Drake's side of the story on this one. Josh strikes me as the type of guy that is using the "we were never friends" as a form of self validation to get over someone he see's as beneath him.
I can see it in Drake's eyes that he is filled with regret on how things turned out with Josh, but I feel like Josh has been wanting to separate himself from his Nickelodeon past and create a new image for himself. Unfortunately Drake is a part of that past.

They even talked about doing a reboot series, so how could Josh have had not contact with Drake for over 10 years? There’s no way.
Watching this in 2024, you can see that drake wants to take the positives from the friendship, during what we now know was such a difficult time for him. Josh has said that he was jealous of drake during D&J but I’ve also been in Josh’s position, loosing weight, gaining a ‘new’ identity which threw me into severe clinical depression so can appreciate how that must have felt for him. I think josh was selfish,wrong to lie about his contact/friendship since the show ended but maybe that was some external influence given the time of the recording, even then drake still wants to keep some privacy to their personal messages which shows strength of character and not stopping to a lower level, same with the post QOS message I for one would love a D&J reboot if the script was right, it could depict your successful careers but focus on the ‘at home’ lives! drake bell thank you for feeling strong enough to share your story, QOS has made me find your music again which I love. If you do finish your book, please do the audio version yourself as i could listen to you all day!
I wish there were more episodes of this podcast, because I absolutely loved it the way that she spoke about Drake just shows the love that they really had for each other and the fact that she was totally OK being the bad guy when it came to talking about Josh no matter how much Drake tried to Defend Josh. I really feel like his mental health just was not in a place where they could work through. Whatever it was they needed to work through and that makes me sad.
God she is so annoying. Every time Drake would start telling a cool story or saying something interesting, she would insist on interrupting him. Her voice is the worst too. It was awesome to hear Drake talk about all of this though.
I came in neutral, I actually believe Drake to be honest. Ever since he didn't get invited to his wedding It seemed like he was geuinely hurt and It seems like Josh maybe subconsciously has something against drake. I watched a interview of them together where josh was saying how jealous he was od drake and getting girls and stuff. while on the other hand Drake spoke highly of josh in the same interview even taking a step down saying he was only trying to look cool for him. Every interview I see It seems like drake openly gives josh his roses of respect but Very rarely is it the other way around. Even in this interivew he gave nothing but respect to josh and didn't try to kick him down about the obvious lies josh told. Drake didn't say a single rude thing about him... Speaks character! I'm almost positive josh has something against or some sort of vendetta maybe from the teen hood. And with drakes case last year he knew it was the perfect time for him to cut ties. This has nothing to do with drakes past case, If i had to guess My PERSONAL OPINION ! Drake being the "Cool guy" growing up, handsome guy, Popular and a musician who had equally or better acting skills as Josh and maybe since Josh struggled with weight and openly talks about his weight loss surgery though he was a funny guy he might of hated being in the shadow of drake hence why he wanted the show to be "Josh & Drake" and he found anyway to belittle drake in the story line, And since Drake had the case last year. I think he found this to be the Perfect moment to Put the knife in and twist to finish him off and completely cut ties. Drake needs to get another host. Janet interrupted Drake more times than I could count. Other than that, I am on Drake's side with this whole issue. Josh can't use his bad life as an excuse to be a total a hole. Nobody has a perfect life.

I think Josh is making Drake a villain as way to distance himself from Drake since public perception of him soured. When Drake was making a comeback he did all he could to make people think their friends. Now that people dislike Drake, Josh is separating himself from him. Josh is starting to become successful at acting again so it'd be bad for him if people found out his relationship with Drake.

All she got was a signed card. Mind you, all this happened in 2017, the year she reached out to him. She went back 3 years & claimed sexual texts, grooming & rape. So, Drake's not the dishonest one, it's her.

Here's My Hot take on The Drake and Josh feud/fallout. 1. Drake and Josh the TV show on Nickelodeon was and still is a great show. Both the timing and when it was on couldn't have been made any better. It had an incredible run of 4 seasons. And the show was a hit. It showed Drake Bell & Josh Peck as a young comedy duo. Who work well together and bounce of each other. The chemistry was good. 2. I hate to pick a side but I feel that both Drake and his wife are correct. I hate to say this, but Josh peck is lying. It is not true that neither Drake or Josh have not spoken to or seen each other since the show ended. Since Drake and Josh ended in 2007. There are numerous pics and videos of them together since that time. Drake guest starred on Josh Peck's show on FOX. And they made a couple vids together on TH-cam after the wedding incident. 3. If you notice during the duration of this interview you notice Drake is not speaking down or talking bad about Josh. All these years/two decades later he still has love and respect for Josh. It really is ashame to see Josh painting a narrative that isn't true. Whether he likes it or not both Drake and Josh the show and The Amanda Show were huge moments both in Josh and Drake's careers. Regardless it's something that he can't run away from or pretend it doesn't exist. He can either be at peace with these projects or think badly about these projects. But regardless those shows will always be symonous with both Drake Bell & Josh Peck.

I’m really trying to like Janet but I feel like she’s trying to force Drake to feel a certain way about Josh that he just doesn’t feel. The way she kept saying “He literally hates you” and “You’re being too nice” is just not something you tell someone and felt like she was trying to manipulate his feelings. Hate doesn’t need to be met with hate. I’m sure in her own way she was trying to help, but I feel she should be proud that Drake still supports Josh no matter what. I get why Janet is angry, seeing the person you love getting hurt and lied about , especially publicly must be hard. I think that’s why she’s coming off so harsh, she’s angry and Drake is trying to make excuses because he has love for Josh. When you are outside the dynamic you can see the bad stuff so much clearer. That being said you guys both keep talking over each other and not listening, it makes sense because there are so many emotions in a conversation like this , made worse by being done publicly. The pilot he wrote makes so much sense when you consider his perspective. He always wanted to be a real serious dramatic actor. He felt like he was a joke and that drake and josh was an embarrassment. He also resented drake and the role he played in the show. So, in his pilot, there is language, drugs, disappointment etc. He wrote something he considered real dramatic acting, trying to reshape drake and josh from what he saw as an embarrassment into something he could feel proud of and call his own. I also suspect that he wasn’t even aware of how deeply his resentment ran. Cuz there’s no way he would have pitched that script to drake if he had been aware.

What I only see after hearing both sides, I see Drake feeling bad for one mistake he did for not being invited to the wedding of a josh, someone he still thinks up to this day as an important person in his life and keeps speaking good stuff about josh. And on the other side, Josh is desperate to be famous taking every opportunity to make controversy and throwing Drake under the bus any time he can. If you check on Drake he tries to remain relevant by his own means and josh uses Drake every time he needs to get more fame, and that's the reality, Josh is desperate for fame.
When I think back to my childhood some of the best memories I have is watching drake and Josh. It's My Favorite show of all time!! I've watched it through so many times lol it's just a great show and it actually still holds up today. I totally agree with drake these guys had something special. I'm so glad you turned down the reboot!! Drake and Josh should never be rebooted!! If anything I'd pitch one last episode to end the show the right way! My biggest complaint with drake and Josh as a kid and still to this day is the way it ended so abruptly with no explanation. I'd love to see drake and Josh back for one more episode or movie to end the show the right way!!

Definitely taking Drakes's side on this, Publicist definitely told Josh to distance himself. Also seems like Josh during that time was trying so hard to be part of Davids little clique.
Above everything else people are talking about, I think the major takeaway I got is what a genuinely good man Drake is. I’m not devoted to either side, but Drake just seems like a genuine guy who lost a friend. He had every reason to blowtorch Josh here, but he didn’t. I respect that. It’s through the difficult times that you find out who your real friends are. Even if the allegations were true, Josh had no reason to go and do what he did. He could have easily chosen to say in that interview something that boils down to “no comment”. Instead, he chose not only to talk about it, but to lie about his relationship with Drake and tarnish his name in the process. That was foul. Shoutout to Drake. Hopefully someday he comes to peace with everything.
YES!!! But here’s the thing - the wedding shit had NOTHING to do with the allegations, but people started to “put all the pieces together” & assume that him being accused of rape by the cowardly accuser & before then he was accused of physically/verbally abusing two of his exes who made allegations from TikTok/Instagram was the reason why he wasn’t invited. They called him a narcissist for making those tweets & claimed that he was acting “entitled” when in reality, he was heartbroken over the fact that he wasn’t invited because he really believed that he & Josh were still good. I agree with his wife when she brought up him using Drake’s name for views because when he did those videos (LOSING YOUR V CARD/DRAKE BELL & I REACT TO OUR CRINGIEST VIDEOS), he was obviously trying to make peace with the D&J fanbase so they’d leave him alone. In that podcast he did, he mocked them by calling them “12 year old girls” That crap about him confronting Drake at the VMAs was a total lie. No way did he demand that Drake apologize to his wife. Even people who believe those lies about him see that Josh is bullshitting.

A fantasy for drake and she did not hold back. And she rode for drake so hard. He really fumbled. She’s really mentally strong. I really hope them divorcing up wasn’t drake’s fault. My best advice to Drake and Janet is that since Josh clearly wants to move on then just let him. Drake you clearly have a buddy buddy dream and you accomplished some of that with Josh back in your teenage days.. that doesn’t mean that you have to quit your dream now just because Josh doesn’t want to continue. Find a replacement. Find a new actor you have chemistry with and start a new show! Josh can work with Stamos you can find a new partner for the Drake brand! Josh will see the new show and see what you guys could have done together but he’s living his life and that’s good for him. I wish you both the best and I’m sorry things haven’t turned out the way that many have hoped.
That statement is irritating. She doesn’t have a book especially not one that has sold the way Josh’s book has. The same applies for the script. She is so criticized of the script and how she wants it or doesn’t want it and she has nothing to do with the show OG or reboot. Drake and Josh is equally about Drake Bell and Josh Peck. Josh even said in a TH-cam video in 2018 (I forget the name of the TH-camr but it was in a car), that they had a specific experience of having a tv show together that no one else could identify with or understand, and that he has a deep love for Drake. And that they will always be in each other's lives. I pray for healing for both of them... as individuals and for their relationship.
After “Quiet on the set”, the aftermath interviews from the documentary (especially on “The Man Enough” podcast) and watching this podcast, all I want to do is give Drake a hug 😢❤

When I get hyped up I cut my husband off because he’s a softy and I’m more aggressive lol. It's so sad that their "friendship" is so one-sided. I mean, I'm glad that Josh reached out privately to Drake after the documentary, I'll give him credit for that. I just don't see them ever being close like when they were kids. There is plenty of evidence of them hanging out after D&J (JOSH"S OWN TH-cam CHANNEL!), so I don't know why Josh is claiming they were never friends. It really feels like Josh was just using Drake to keep his name out there, like, "Hey, I'm the Josh part of Drake and Josh! I'm still around!" I can understand being jealous of Drake as kids as Drake was more popular with the girls (and Drake can sing), but they are adults now. Drake is so forgiving and willing to keep Josh into his life, but Josh just seems done. Watching this in 2024, you can see that drake wants to take the positives from the friendship, during what we now know was such a difficult time for him. Josh has said that he was jealous of drake during D&J but I’ve also been in Josh’s position, loosing weight, gaining a ‘new’ identity which threw me into severe clinical depression so can appreciate how that must have felt for him.
I think josh was selfish,wrong to lie about his contact/friendship since the show ended but maybe that was some external influence given the time of the recording, even then drake still wants to keep some privacy to their personal messages which shows strength of character and not stopping to a lower level, same with the post QOS message
I for one would love a D&J reboot if the script was right, it could depict your successful careers but focus on the ‘at home’ lives!

I came in neutral, I actually believe Drake to be honest. Ever since he didn't get invited to his wedding It seemed like he was geuinely hurt and It seems like Josh maybe subconsciously has something against drake. I watched a interview of them together where josh was saying how jealous he was od drake and getting girls and stuff. while on the other hand Drake spoke highly of josh in the same interview even taking a step down saying he was only trying to look cool for him. I think Josh is making Drake a villain as way to distance himself from Drake since public perception of him soured.

Here's My Hot take on The Drake and Josh feud/fallout.
1. Drake and Josh the TV show on Nickelodeon was and still is a great show. Both the timing and when it was on couldn't have been made any better. It had an incredible run of 4 seasons. And the show was a hit. It showed Drake Bell & Josh Peck as a young comedy duo. Who work well together and bounce of each other. The chemistry was good.
2. I hate to pick a side but I feel that both Drake and his wife are correct. I hate to say this, but Josh peck is lying. It is not true that neither Drake or Josh have not spoken to or seen each other since the show ended. Since Drake and Josh ended in 2007. There are numerous pics and videos of them together since that time. Drake guest starred on Josh Peck's show on FOX. And they made a couple vids together on TH-cam after the wedding incident.
3. If you notice during the duration of this interview you notice Drake is not speaking down or talking bad about Josh. All these years/two decades later he still has love and respect for Josh.
It really is ashame to see Josh painting a narrative that isn't true. Whether he likes it or not both Drake and Josh the show and The Amanda Show were huge moments both in Josh and Drake's careers. Regardless it's something that he can't run away from or pretend it doesn't exist. He can either be at peace with these projects or think badly about these projects. But regardless those shows will always be symonous with both Drake Bell & Josh Peck.

I get why Janet is angry, seeing the person you love getting hurt and lied about , especially publicly must be hard. I think that’s why she’s coming off so harsh, she’s angry and Drake is trying to make excuses because he has love for Josh. When you are outside the dynamic you can see the bad stuff so much clearer. Drake wanted to keep things civil and respectable and throw acknowledgment towards Josh's accomplishments and that is totally fair. I agree with Janet's criticism of Josh's script but outside of that criticism and that portion of the podcast she was absolutely hateful and spiteful when she could have been much more objective (especially at the end). It seems she has alot to work on herself imo.

The pilot he wrote makes so much sense when you consider his perspective. He always wanted to be a real serious dramatic actor. He felt like he was a joke and that drake and josh was an embarrassment. He also resented drake and the role he played in the show. So, in his pilot, there is language, drugs, disappointment etc. He wrote something he considered real dramatic acting, trying to reshape drake and josh from what he saw as an embarrassment into something he could feel proud of and call his own. I also suspect that he wasn’t even aware of how deeply his resentment ran. Cuz there’s no way he would have pitched that script to drake if he had been aware.

What I only see after hearing both sides, I see Drake feeling bad for one mistake he did for not being invited to the wedding of a josh, someone he still thinks up to this day as an important person in his life and keeps speaking good stuff about josh. And on the other side, Josh is desperate to be famous taking every opportunity to make controversy and throwing Drake under the bus any time he can. If you check on Drake he tries to remain relevant by his own means and josh uses Drake every time he needs to get more fame, and that's the reality, Josh is desperate for fame.
When I think back to my childhood some of the best memories I have is watching drake and Josh. It's My Favorite show of all time!! I've watched it through so many times lol it's just a great show and it actually still holds up today. I totally agree with drake these guys had something special. I'm so glad you turned down the reboot!! Drake and Josh should never be rebooted!! If anything I'd pitch one last episode to end the show the right way! My biggest complaint with drake and Josh as a kid and still to this day is the way it ended so abruptly with no explanation. I'd love to see drake and Josh back for one more episode or movie to end the show the right way!!

Above everything else people are talking about, I think the major takeaway I got is what a genuinely good man Drake is.
I’m not devoted to either side, but Drake just seems like a genuine guy who lost a friend. He had every reason to blowtorch Josh here, but he didn’t. I respect that.
It’s through the difficult times that you find out who your real friends are. Even if the allegations were true, Josh had no reason to go and do what he did. He could have easily chosen to say in that interview something that boils down to “no comment”. Instead, he chose not only to talk about it, but to lie about his relationship with Drake and tarnish his name in the process. That was foul.
Shoutout to Drake. Hopefully someday he comes to peace with everything.

But here’s the thing - the wedding shit had NOTHING to do with the allegations, but people started to “put all the pieces together” & assume that him being accused of rape by the cowardly accuser & before then he was accused of physically/verbally abusing two of his exes who made allegations from TikTok/Instagram was the reason why he wasn’t invited.
They called him a narcissist for making those tweets & claimed that he was acting “entitled” when in reality, he was heartbroken over the fact that he wasn’t invited because he really believed that he & Josh were still good.
I agree with his wife when she brought up him using Drake’s name for views because when he did those videos (LOSING YOUR V CARD/DRAKE BELL & I REACT TO OUR CRINGIEST VIDEOS), he was obviously trying to make peace with the D&J fanbase so they’d leave him alone. My best advice to Drake and Janet is that since Josh clearly wants to move on then just let him. Find a replacement. Find a new actor you have chemistry with and start a new show! Josh can work with Stamos you can find a new partner for the Drake brand!
