Really helpful. I am a nurse in the UK planning my second return to work, I have long covid and have been off 4 months. I tried to work full time before. Thank you for channel.

Sweden just seems like such an advanced country with all the support offered. And of course, Swedes speak English flawlessly.

As I recover using ANS Rewire I am at the point that I can work a bit now. I start doing Uber and is the perfect fit because of flexibility. I love it. Next year I want to go to massage school.

I have a job interview for a part time position this week and I am concerned that I don't have the right judgements about how hard to work or how to get a good working pace so this video was amazingly helpful. I think the biggest barrier to returning to work is my own mind set and remembering to not be the best or be perfect at the job, but to do the job in balance with my recovery. Lots to think about here! Thanks Sofia and Raelan

Wow thanks Raelan and Sophia, that was so timely and helpful for me down under in New Zealand! I have ME/CFS and was off work for 8 months. I’ve been back at work for 4 months (nurse in a Covid vaccine clinic) for 6 hours a day 3 days a week. I’m really struggling with fatigue and muscle pain on my days off and although my job is sedentary it takes a lot of concentration (preparing the vaccines). Sophia your checklist was very helpful and I will be discussing with my supportive managers how to implement these into my work life! Thanks again

We definitely don’t have this system in Canada, let alone recognition of this illness most of the time. Basic inclusion is a huge issue, and in my case, my needs (back when I was recovering from a brain injury) have often been dismissed as “self care” rather than disability needs in job interviews. I certainly hope every country has the cooperation of companies and govt like in Sweden one day!

Amazing! Thanks so much. I returned to work after illness earlier this year and feel myself running into some of the pitfalls outlined here. Great info at exactly the right time. Keep this great work up you two! Raelan, almost done the book too, brilliantly helpful!

This is such a great interview Sofia and Raelan!! I have been looking forward to it ❤️ Lots of helpful advice and you are both so warm and friendly. Thank you so much for sharing this knowledge with us ❤️
And I especially benefited from the comment of comfortable work pace. I am not there yet, but I still want to start being more mindful of how at ease I am as go about the daily activities, to find the sweet spot 😊😊
I would also love to hear how you know that you might be ready to attempt working part time, if you have any advice, is there some kind of guideline? 😊😊
    Cheers!

I heard you mention you were a social worker at some point. I'm in my Masters for clinical counselling. I was just wondering... did you ever return to work, or did you find it was something that you just couldn't do anymore?
I'm worried that, even though I want to help people, I might be making a mistake taking this Masters when I'm in recovery from CFS.
