- WB is getting ready to make some major changes with its biggest video game franchises. Hogwarts Legacy, Harry Potter, Batman, and even Game of Thrones are all on the table here. And to be honest with you…I’m still trying to figure out if this is a good thing or bad thing.

Why can’t they just make Hogwarts 2, a single player offline game, make everyone happy and a chit load of money? Sounds simple enough.
I agree too an extent. You and I both know gamers can be quite divided on opinions of how their favorite games should be handled after the first installment. Which naturally can make it difficult for companies to navigate. There’s plenty of people that want the sequel to remain single player for a myriad of reasons I think one of the larger ones being that we’re afraid they’ll ruin in with the issues that come with adding online to games. There’s another side of fans that want online badly and I’d be lying to say I’m not somewhat part of that. I only want it to be optional online co-op. It just seems like a no brainer to me. However typically the introduction of online brings PVP as well and from my experience
that’s what ruins games that add online. So at that point I’d rather it just stay a single player game than then add both PVE and PVP
I'd love to see a Hogwarts Legacy set during the movies . Play as all 3 characters
I worry for your heart that you even have to ask that question.
@curtisbaker1576 you mean me or the other guy lol ^^^
@@delta-sev4467 my bad bro beans. Original poster. Not you. I agree with both of you. His question was just as though he stepped out of a time capsule or something and hasn't been here for the last 8 years 😂
I just keep reminding my self. I have all 7 books of the Harry Potter series. So what ever they do. They can’t take those away from me.
I remind myself of this whenever anything I love is adapted in any way
@@ironPanda616 Adapted or expanded upon. I think a lot of people in fandoms forget that new content doesn't erase the existence of the old.
(Except in the case of the Star Wars Special Editions, but fan preservationists have done more than enough to negate that cinematic misstep.
There's actually 11 if you count Cursed Child, Quidditch Through the Ages, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and The Tales of Beedle the Bard. (The latter 3 being released as actual texts the were released singularly but actually also had a box set that released in 2016.)
Not yet, but in 2030 you will need to upgrade your subscription plan to Ultra++ for physical media access.
Well considering how erratic and emotional harry and his friends start acting going from the third book onward, and how ridiculous Dumbledore plan was for Harry and how practically 70 percent of the plot was entirely luck I needed a bit of immersion where I could feel like a badass
More games does not equate to worthwhile games. Avalanche should be allowed to continue their success with Legacy.
Yes it does, because even a broken clock is right twice a day. Back in the day when we used to get a ton of movie license games, of course it would be 90% trash, but out of that we'd get 10% AMAZING titles like the randomly amazing Bourne Identity game, or the PS1 Harry Potter games, or The Simpsons Movie game, or the amazing King Kong PS2 game, or the amazing Scarface game... etc.
In between all those winners we had plenty of trash examples too like Bad Boys the PS2 game, or the infamously horrible Beverly Hills Cop PS2 game...
And the same can be said for games from previous console generations like the NES era or the SNES/Sega eras.... but that sheer quantity of games graced us with some of the most amazingly well done licensed movie games that we otherwise aren't getting nowadays because the gaming industry would rather put all their eggs into one basket and spend 4-6yrs developing a game hoping that it'll be the next AAA masterpiece.
And when it releases full of bugs, unfinished and missing a ton of promised content, people hate it, they scrap it and move onto spending the NEXT 4-6yrs developing their next game and putting all their eggs/resources into one basket, and the whole time we go without a ton of amazing hidden gems that we could otherwise get if gaming studios instead focused on spreading out their resources and loaning out licenses to other studios to make smaller projects that could potentially result in amazing games.
@@dbzispimpin Scarface>gta same year lol
I will never understand how CEOs just choose to ignore all the dozens of live service games that failed miserably and keep hoping that they will score a success like Fortnite or Warzone or Rainbow Six Siege, even when they themselves have experienced major losses with games like Suicide Squad but major wins with games like Hogwarts Legacy, the Arkham series, the Shadow of Morder/War games etc. It just doesn't make sense. Like stick to what you're good at and they obviously suck at making live services
Lol Shadow of war is literally an example of wb screwing up a franchise and killing it , with the terrible loot box mechanic they tried to force into it... so you would think if any studio understood giving the customer what they want you'd think it would be wb
Because of they had any sense they wouldn’t be in a cult to begin with.
@@codymadison9993because they always lean towards greed. They think because other LS games make money that it music be easy. Thats all what live service games are. Greed. Disguised as content.
What's with live service shit all the time..I swear companies are unable to look at their own figures and make sensible decisions based on sales
Well the thing is that on paper, it _seems_ like a money printing buissness; consistent player engagement and FOMO driving monetary engagement.
What they are ignoring is the second you leave the paper. Single player games, you can pick up at any point and start playing, I only just grabbed Hogwarts Legacy two days ago, and since I just started another Arkhamverse playthrough (not counting SS) a week or so ago, it'll probably be weeks until I finally get to play it. And beyond knowing the plot from watching multiple walkthroughs and prsumably many bug fixes in the intevening time, my experience will be no different to someone who bought the game at launch.
On the other hand ith Live Service, you need to be on the ball with them from the start, you need to be on them weekly or daily into order to level up and continue the grind. You can't do that with multiple games so when a new one pops up, either you abandon the game you're already playing to start the new one, or you dismiss the new one and continue the grind you've already playing. Now maybe if there are an even number of players for both then both games will stabelize, albeit likely at a lower level than the publishers want, but odds are one game will be favored over the other, and the neglected game just crashes and burns, and of course, as more live service games come out, particularly ones with overlapping target audiences, even that equelibrium between games begins to get too low to be tennable.
@@medafan53very well said!!
cheap and easy, plus it kind of makes the player base make some of the story of the world through interaction which isn't a bad thing, but nothing takes place over good story
I hate live service so much…I’m a 90s kid
@MartiniScreamz it boils down to every developer thinking there's space for them in that particular facet when, in reality, it's a niche that takes a very specific kind of game to succeed. Companies have decided that rather than play to their developers strengths and produce quality titles that aren't within the scope of Live Service, they'd rather buy out several small developers, force them to develop within a scope they aren't comfortable with and then blame everyone but themselves for why it failed.
"We're really struggling to make money. We had one big non-live service game make us a big pile of money. Then we put out a live service game that was poorly received and didn't make money. Surely the problem is that we didn't have more bad live service games, right?
Yea this right here!! People that don't understand the market they are in that are in charge. Some things work live service and some don't. If one model isn't paying off go with the one that is. It's not that hard. Make a suicide squad rpg in the style and respect of Hogwarts Legacy. I bet that would do better than the bs live service model.
Hogwarts Legacy needs to stay with Avalanche, however, I am totally up for new Harry Potter games that are more true to the book lore by another developer! Heck, I think we need to start exploring magic in other countries too with totally new characters and exploring the other schools.
I like the idea of different schools in other areas as well. Heck the tri wizarding cup opened the world to different characters and schools. Would love an adventure in the USA with a school and story arc there.
no, going to other countries will ruin it
@@rickbone3906 would be too woke

When you mention EA, the yesteryears of EA is a YES, but today is now a big fat NO, they'll monetize for sure including releasing them buggy and fix later. They used to make great games in their old days
I love how a good portion of the gaming community has officially become one with the boomer mindset lmao. ‘Back in MY DAY, x was better!’
You freaks say the same shit about every company.
@@TheSCPStudio I mean it's true. Gaming today isn't even half as good as it was back in oh say, 2010/2012 let alone the early 2000's.
I see people say this all the time about EA monetizing games but outside of StarWars Battlefront I’m not sure where that notion comes from. Not saying it’s false just that I’m not familiar with what other games. The sports games I guess which is really only one mode, but the people who make the micro transaction complaint don’t typically play sports games.
But they’re the exact sort of company which somehow attracts huge IPs to make into cash cows
The old HP games EA made are fantastic @@gregharper6382
It is hilarious to me that these giant corporations who swallowed up all of these gaming companies have zero ability to stick things out for the long term. Their only consideration is short-term profits, so when there is a downturn in the industry their reaction is to down size, firing all of the artists that made the game companies that they bought successful and are their real assets. And then their only ideas to make more money with gaming is to do the 2 things that lost them money in the first place: have executive money managers meddle in the art of game creation, and insist every thing be live service MMO (which have glutted the industry and which most players don't want).
Which is why I love Larian studios. Not a soulless corporatio, I know... but they do the opposite of WB and other big companies.
At this point it's pertinent to blame the original owners of the company who sell out to the corpos.
I just want a Harry Potter game that uses the Hogwarts Legacy map as a base, with some minor tweaks, but lets you play through the stories of the old games again, with Harry aging as you get further into the game.
This. Avalanche have done a good job at developing the Hogwarts map imo.
Doesn't work, in the frist game you play with a character that you create and you can go to any of the 4 houses, if they make you play as Harry all of that is gone, they should expand the world and add things they didn't put in the frist game, a magical duel almost like that scene on the second movie would be good, for example. ,
They should make a story where you play as a first year then the next game could be 2nd year then 4 and skip 5th (or remaster it) go for 6th and 7th and finally make open world gta wizard world @DarkHeartTheEmo
@@Splatcake Are you speaking in different games? Because you are assuming that the previous game is going than they will do sequel over and over again, I want to ay new s*** not the same game I play last year, if that is the case I will go buy The Last Of Us again, I know that remake that for 100th time, nothing change but buy it again, alsl that open world wizard game is what Legacy was, you can fly and go anywhere they will stop you at some point, but games like GTA and The Legend Of Zelda BOTW do the same, for a 2nd legacy game tgey just neex to include 2 things and polish the worst part of the last game to make iit better.
Lego Harry potter
I think some developers would do the Wizarding World justice, but as far as EA and Ubisoft are concerned, for me it is a big fat NO. EA already created a bunch of movie tie in games that were honestly bad except for HP Quidditch World Cup, which was a spinoff game. And given how those two developers are treating their current franchises with the ridiculous amount of micro transactions and live service models, I would rather WB give someone else a chance before them.
Yeah I don't really trust EA that much any more
Ubisoft CEO is also the person who said we needed to get used to not owning games we pay for.
I'd say I wanna see Bethesda make a Harry Potter game but Bethesda already takes forever to develop games and have fans calling for them to license a Fallout game made by another studio.
@@Stonerman135
Bethesda also wouldn't be a good idea in general.
Todd is extremly stubborn when it comes to game design and the way Fallout and Starfield are, simply wouldn't work with an IP like Harry Potter.
I'd say it would be better if a studio like Avalanche worked on it.
@@Stonerman135 Bethesda been falling off lately too.
I don't think an MMO for harry potter would survive today's world. Its not where peoples minds are at.
Mainly because other people would ruin it. I have enough harassment and annoyance from humans in the real world. I don't want to have to pay a monthly fee for more of it.
Probably not, however Harry Potter is still a very popular brand so what they should do is just make a sequel to Legacy. I would like to see more impact from your choices and your friends on the series as it develops.
The issue with companies these days is instead of trying to set trends they are chasing them.
They had a winner with legacy and like ten failures with live service.
But they dont learn. They just want to keep gambling on live service because if one succeeds, it pays for all the failures.
Its just gambling poorly
You hit it right on the head: we're going to get a bunch of low-effort, incomplete, micro-transaction heavy games that will "subvert the narrative." Especially if Disney gets its grimy little hands on it
I honestly want Harry Potter 4-7 games be made in the same style Harry Potter 1-3 games were made. Those three games are my favorite games ever, and I can't even begin to describe how sad and dissapointed I was when I played the later titles. Especially the 4th game gave me ptsd when I was a kid...
Yeah and the Potter turned egoshooter game xd
The gaming industry is the same, as the record business. On one side, there's dedicated developers, with a passion for realizing their creative vision. On the other side, there's the distributors, with their analytics, and corporate greed.
Gotta love it our full single player games are making us $1 billion but our live service games are doing way worse than what we expect. How do we fix that double down on Live service games😂😂😂😂
Nah if EA gets their hands on it. Itll be a micro transaction ridden mmo, pay to win, cluster fuck. Christ with all these fucking horrible companies i wanna boycott everything at this point
Not if they do the game like they did on the past, those games before all thos micro transition bs, were fine, if they do it like that maybe they are the better, but current EA yeah I don't see them doing, but could be worse it could be Ubisoft.
@@DarkHeartTheEmo I don't see them doing this like the first three movie tie in games. Those were beautiful. Modern EA doesn't care about the player or having a good game. They only care about making money on hype and pay walls the only way I see us as gamers getting a fullly fleshed out complete wizarding world. Game out of EA is if the developers put their foot down and demand the game follow bg3s success which won't happen bc 98% of the developers are spineless cunts and the rest are just as bad as the marketing teams IM LOOKING AT YOU TODD HOWARD YOU FUCKING PRICK

My baseless and irrational wish for a bully-type game set in Hogwarts continues to live. I swear if Rockstar starts working on this...
I was thinking I wanna see Bethesda make a Harry Potter game but that idea sounds just as good lol
As a massive Skyrim fan that would be the dream. We should start bracing ourselves for the many "features" that would entail

Rockstar making a Harry Potter game.. If Rockstar would go ahead and make a game in the HP universe, you'd be an adult, maybe an auror? Or a double agent during the first war against Voldemort.
I would prefer a pay once type of game in the future like hogwarts legacy rather than mmo. Mmo opens the door to them charging for energy or new items to do things. Hogwarts mystery was pretty bad especially how the advertisements look 10 times better than the actual game it's self which is pretty misleading to be honest.

How to become a CEO:
1- Single Player games makes $1 billion
2- Live service game looses $200+ million
Make more live service games
Yup, totally makes perfect sense, stop making games that makes us money, lets double and triple down on what lost us money.
The logic at play here is that if they just keep making more Live Service games, eventually one of them will become a runaway success and make a billion dollars every year, more than making up for the dozen plus failures that all sent a few hundred million down the drain. Its insanely stupid but that's the thought process behind GAS obsession.

I dropped Howards Mystery in spite of LOVING the story and characters. But the gane design was so intrusive on my life and freaking rude about it, that I ditched it.
If they wreck this and make it a life service, they can go to heck no matter how good the game may or may not ve. I'm boycotting it. I loathe the whole concept.
If there's any petition to stop this LET US KNOW!
I would do anything to get my hands on remastered versions of the old Harry Potter games

It makes perfect sense. They have about 10 years until all their biggest character go to the public domain. They are trying to milk them for everything they can before they lose control of batman, the Joker, Wonder Woman, and even Superman.
I’m in medical school, I don’t have time to play an MMO. If HL2 is live service or an MMO I will simply not buy it.

It's interesting to think in terms of more games in the franchise, remasters of the older games would be wonderful! At the same time, I hope that Avalanche is the only one responsible for the sequel to Hogwarts Legacy. I loved what they did in this game and I really believe that only they will be able to maintain the essence in the next one.
Why are they doubling down on live service games when the single player game made them more money?
How much more money do these companies want to waist, WE DO NOT WANT LIVE SERVICE GAMES!
All us Harry Potter fans want is a game that allows us to go to Hogwarts and experience the year, pretty much like Legacy does just can be expanded on so much more with filling in more classes and more seasonal themed things to do.
Omg an BG3 level Harry Potter game would be mindblowing. Just don't, I mean DON'T let EA get the license.
Lemme get a VR game in the HP universe with motion controls and voice activated spells.
I hope they bring back the old pc games and remaster them! That would be awesome to have them more available again! I think it's a great idea. I'd love an addition of a more cozy element style game too! Although, I do really love Hogwarts Legacy and avalanche. I think there's a lot they could do! Thanks for the info!
please do not give EA (or GameMill) any ideas. 2:58 we all know that probably only one game developer will get to make the game(s) based on the new TV show. there are multiple companies that could take that responsibility and do it right, and it's not gonna be EA.

Dude, A Harry Potter-verse game made with help by Rockstar would be INSANE
Depends on which genre of games tbh. For instance, with the Magic Awakened series, it would be better if Netease gained full control of the property so that rewards and resources are better distributed evenly because currently the game doesn’t do that between WB servers and Netease servers
A souls-like Wizarding world game? Definitely sounds interesting.
A full RPG style wizarding game? Makes sense to do
All I want is a wizarding world game where you can explore all the famous locations, maybe decide which route to follow, light side - you get to see the burrow, dark side - Malfoy manor
“we saw the monumental failure when we put live service into suicide squad, so we’re going to double down on live service games” ffs…. good time to swear off wb for the forseeable future
I think the success or not of licencing some of the IP to other developers would depend on 1) Who those developers are, and 2) If those developers try to get out games too quick to make money quickly and before other studios make games.
I would like to see some of the HP games being remade, or even making them in to openworld RPG (single player or multiple would work with different people), and there are some studios who are good at doing that already.
They also don't need to flood the market with too many games at any single point, so hopefully WB / Portkey can have a steer on that side of things
Quidditch is a cool idea for a sport, but the whole Golden Snitch rule makes it fundamentally flawed. 150 points is basically insurmountable. I remember playing the old Quidditch World Cup game and it was great, but I could basically never lose because I played team Japan, and their seeker was one of the fastest.
A Nintendo Switch remake of the old Harry Potter games sounds amazing!
EA Sports Quidditch is a no-brainer. They could do a lot more stadiums and leagues/teams than Quidditch Champions is showing.
They had one called quidditch World Cup
Yeah cause EA is the way to go. Are you serious. Do you really want pay extra to do anything in the game. You know EA only cares about micro transactions. Sure their games look great and play okay. You have to remember. They always fall short to deliver what we want and just tell us what we need through those micro-transactions.
EA is one of the worst companies in gaming right now
These corporate heads make decisions that they think look good on paper but consumers don’t buy garbage. They trim funding, gut studios, overwork those devs that remain and make changes players/consumers don’t want.

FromSoftware are masters and kings of level design no one comes close. I like HL but level design is awful and voice acting is hilariously bad. Although I enjoyed it I would much prefer a FS take on it 👑🙌
Maybe. Fromsoft games always have a major focus on melee combat and they tend to make ranged combat slow or weak. Making a fast paced wizard combat system would be a completely different formula from their typical games. But I suppose if anyone could pull it off it would be them.

whenever I hear anything about Harry Potter, i start to feel extremely giddy. I am 32 and HP was pretty much the highlight of my childhood ever since the first movie came out.
WB can’t lease out Harry Potter to any other studio without JK Rowling’s say so. They do not own the Harry Potter IP, she does.

I say remake all games like prisoner of askaban that was a better game
People want to create their own characters and story they should add more impactful story elements and give more things to do in game making it multiplayer we could duel with friends

i'm already having nightmares with EA making HP games...
CEO: "The video game market has too much volatility."
Literally everyone: "Well which games are cratering into nothing?"
CEO: "The live service ones."
Literally everyone: "Well maybe if you just-"
CEO: "I just greenlit 327 more live service games."
...
CEO: "I'm also going to fire everyone tomorrow to improve the company's productivity."
"market volatility" is a crazy interpretation. But it actually does sound like there is some creative potential in this development.
The strategy of live service games are not making us as much money as single player games so we are going to double down on them is the most intelligent strategy I’ve ever heard
Their solo game was a massive success, and their live service game was a massive failure, so they want to double down on live services. Wtf.
They need to make a game like Hogwarts Legacy, but with the Harry Potter plot and era
I would absolutely love if they did remakes of the original movie tie in games. Specifically the PC versions. I spend so much time on the first three playing them on PC and then played a little bit of the fourth one on The GameCube and PS2.
I feel dirty knowing how greedy these companies are. It's gross. I'm still yet to play an mmo and continue to play the mmo.
People have had high hopes and dreams for Star Wars games too and yet we get ones like Outlaws
The only reasoning I can think for them doubling down on Live Service games is they see the insane amount of money the good/big ones make at a monthly basis, but those are not the norm and they actually understand their player base (also a lot of them are big in East Asia so they make a ton of money)
I don't like playing games with others because other people almost always ruin my experience. I want solo games, or games where I can play ONLY with the people I choose to play with.
I swear they’re allergic to success! They accidentally do something right and their “prestigious business mindsets” start itching to fuck something up to make up for it.
I don't think another studio should do Legacy, that's Avalanche.
But other studios could do more story oriented games, what I missed about Legacy was that I never felt like a Hogwarts student, I felt like some random person visiting but barely spent any time in the castle.
Anything from a telltale style games or something more party-based would all be fun to see.
the old single player model doesn't work. EA realized this over 14 yrs ago. Despite some success like HP. These are acceptions, not the rule. With budgets out of control and the length of time it takes to make a game. They need games that will live on long enough for the next version to come out.
Thing is live service can be phenomenal
But thing is... probably won't be such under their care
Harry Potter made by EA would be a nightmare. They'd put everything behind a paywall.
They could’ve just taken GTA V, Bully, and Skyrim- put it all in one game and just make it Harry Potter. (These are games i’ve compiled in minutes to reach better levels of immersion)
Thats literally what ubisoft did with Avatar Frontiers and it’s so much better than what WB came up with.
There’s too many games out there they could’ve taken inspiration from, companies they could’ve reached out to- Fans, modders, for opinions.
It genuinely makes me so upset that it flopped as hard as it did.
I want a harry potter horror based game. In fact I did hear a rumor that they are working on a horror base horror game but I could be wrong
No thank you. The damn majority of games is crawling with horror. Can we not ruin the minority of games that keeps it at least low? And with that I'm saying that HL already went too far down that lane!
Remasters of the older games would be absolute dream come true
ITS NOT MARKET VOLATILITY!! Its good single player games = profit, shitty grindfedt live service games = volatile. How difficult is this for CEOs to understand????
I want good quality remakes of the old HP games. Not interested in anything else.
Idk why they don’t just realize that live service games always fail and their single player games seem to do well smh
I wish we got remakes of the old Harry Potter games
Ubisoft can't make anything above mediocre even when they're given some of the most interesting fictional settings like Star Wars and Avatar. There is no way they could make a better Harry Potter game than Hogwarts Legacy.
"Market Volatility" That is NOT why they're getting wildly different results......
Shareholders need to leverage their positions to stop developers from ruining their investments
Hogwarts Legacy made a shit ton of money for them. Suicide Squad did jack squat.
WBD: lets go with jack squat
Agreed legacy needs to stay with avalanche. They did a fantastic job with it. Anybody has access to it. They’re just going to mess it up. This is the first time in the Harry Potter video game history where they nailed it 100% yes there’s always room for improvement, but this was a perfect game Overall.
Every single big company:
Find what everyone likes and makes us the most money and then RUIN IT! That's the way to success! I think!
I could see wb making some stupid decision like,
"let's give the mortal combat devs the game of thrones ip , to make a fighting game with got characters. Yeah and it will be live service ! 👏 brilliant. "
NO WB NO!
I think these major companies need to license thier big IPs to other movie studios. Can you imagine if several other major studios could make movies that take place in the Star Wars universe? There might be some competition for quality then
I'm imagining a game with the nemesis system from the Shadow of war games, where you play as an Auror hunting down other witches and wizards!
Our live service games were massive flops and our single player game made by passionate devs was a huge success. Let's do more live service! .....
"Market volatility". That's not volatile, that's making stupid decisions and giving a surprised Pikachu face when it doesn't work.
I would shit bricks if the stars aligned in just the right way to grant us a remake of Chamber of Secrets for the Nintendo Gamecube
@EA its time to unleash hell on earth and make a MMORPG ready the dev team in DICE Los Angeles we are going to make MAGIC
It never surprises me. Studio execs have no clue. Hogwarts makes a billion dollars, but they are confused why Suicide Squad flopped. Do they even pay attention to the original sources of their IPs? HP did phenominally well in both book form and movie. The DCU is a dumpster fire. It doesn't matter whether a game is single player or live service, if the IP is junk.
0:35 it fell short because those idiots decided to only release it on series X|S optimized systems not the older Xbox systems as well as the older PlayStation systems. That’s alienating a LARGE part of their audience.
I just want NG+. I love the game but have absolutely no patience, let alone intention to complete that stupid guidebook from scratch again.
Too many people have on live service games because they don't really understand live service games are not truly the issue, we can definitely do research and see how many single player games have been a floop and how many live service games have been powerful, Final Fantasy 14 is a good example of a live service game, 10 years and they are still going strong. We can also take Souls games, they have non-forced multiplayer, and their games always sell.
What I would finally love to see is a Wizarding World MMO, something where we choose our starting school, based on said school is where we start in the world. I vote for Joshy P from Square Enix to make this a relaity, we know how he was able to save Final Fantasy 14.
It has SO MUCH potential. The work has been done, they just need to do it better. An mmo, would be amazing- but already done and WELL. They need to copy it, that’s IT. If they gave us quidditch, but made a separate f2p pvp version with all the other mini games including the ones from the current and previous games, PLUS some new ones- another 10/10.
Im not sure id want a remake of the old games. Like id want them available to buy so they dont become lost media but i dont really want a remake of them unless its a hole new game. Like i feel like the dated graphics just add to the nostalgia for me and wouldn’t really want to change that
A Game of thrones RPG made by the BG3 devs... That's heaven.
Remaster the old Harry Potter games
No
Does anyone remember the south park episode with the intellilink thing, and Mr.Mackey keeps upgrading the system and won’t admit it’s just dumb? That’s what WB is doing with the live service stuff, it’s their intellilink….mmmkay
Definitely something going on with WB, just found out Magic Awakened is shutting down the servers in North America as of the end of October but of course the China servers will remain open. Really upset about this as I am guessing many others will be :(
Dear WB, the solution to your financial problems is actually quite simple: get rid of all studios who are influenced by D.E.I. cancer like Sweet Baby Inc and keep those studios, which listen to the actually existing audience. Boom, done!
Warner bros loses a lot of money for a live service game that gamers almost universally collectively despise
Warner bros: let's double down on this live service thing. We probably just didn't get it right.
