    Very informative and incredible video. What a tree, most people would pot it up stat but your patience by allowing the White Pine to continue in the earth should yield something spectacular..!

      Thank you Guy! I have a plan with this tree and I have to stick to it. Some sacrificial branches to thicken it, grow the nebari while keep the foliage tight and close. It's going take years. Cheers!

    It is very good that fine roots can be created by doing nemawashi.
    Thick roots support the tree, and thin roots absorb nutrients.
    For this reason, when nemawashi is done, I bury solid fertilizer at a point about 5cm from the tip of the cut root.
    This will improve the vigor of the tree.
    Thanks for the fun videos.
    根回しを行う事で細かい根が出来るのはとても良い事です。
    太い根は木の支えとなり、細い根は養分の吸収に働きます。
    この事から私は根回しの時、切断した根の先に5cm程の所に固形肥料を埋め込んでいます。
    これにより樹勢が良くなります。
    楽しい動画をありがとう。

    yep but I have problem growing on tiles I get thick roots around the trunk on nabari that shouldn't be bad but it is not enough of them {thick root's } to look good. So I quit with tiles and let them grow down as well.

    • @ArkefthosBonsai
      @ArkefthosBonsai  ปีที่แล้ว

      I understand. Are you going for the extreme maple nebari of the old Japanese maples? You know, the ones that look like solid wood plateau? Personally I prefer the aesthetic of the more natural nebari, with fewer thick roots. Cheers!

    What will you do with the ties that are stuck in the fusion tree? Will they be left behind as the tree comes together?

    • @ArkefthosBonsai
      @ArkefthosBonsai  ปีที่แล้ว

      Cut them flush in a few months and let the tree digest them. The original steel matrix will stay inside the tree as well, so a few more ties is not a problem. Cheers!

    how many cm for a good depth of planting in the ground ?

    • @ArkefthosBonsai
      @ArkefthosBonsai  ปีที่แล้ว

      Tha nebari should be just barely visible and not hidden below the soil line. If you have hot, dry conditions you can apply mulch, as I did. 4 - 5 cm (2in) of pine bark mulch will be sufficient. Do not plant deep! Cheers!

      @@ArkefthosBonsai if I don't apply Nebari just focus on enlarging the STEM does it need to be shallow or does it need to be deep to immerse the roots? my plan will focus stem enlargement on JBP

    • @ArkefthosBonsai
      @ArkefthosBonsai  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nebari is the lower part of the trunk where the roots start. Now read my first answer again and you will know what I mean!
