I think he got an early version because mine loaded up very quickly even with 25 tiles unlocked. My PC takes a long time but there are a lot of assets I have downloaded and about 30 mods. But the difference is about 3 minutes on pc to 15 seconds on ps5
@@streev7216 idk what happened with the Xbox version. That’s weird. Mine runs fine and it is a free graphical upgrade plus 25 tiles. Once we get all the DLC it’s pretty sweet. Vanilla pc and vanilla console look about the same now. PC just has any asset or mod you could imagine
I love the update so far and my only complaints are having to re-unlock all of my unique buildings again as some of were tedious challenges and most that are really difficult to get. My last complaint is that 25 tiles are labeled as cheats so for players like me that enjoy collecting trophies it’s disappointing. Hopefully this is changed over the next coming months but other than that im satisfied with this update.
Agreed. I had a city over 110k population solely for unlocking the monuments. I don’t want to go through forcing a city to have 80% trash buildup again 😂

(I saw Fall 2023 mentioned online though not confirmed, this could be a miscommunication from someone on social media team) It's not bad but it's NOT finished in my opinion. I'd upgrade for free but be aware of the restrictions. I just got Plazas, I want to play Plazas!

I bought the game on PS4 day 1 and bought all the DLC and now it turns out the free upgrade is only for DIGITAL versions???? This is false advertisement and screwing a lot of people over who bought the disc version.. Absolutely horrible business practices! If this isn't rectified I will NEVER buy a game from this company ever again and I will advise everyone I know and who reads this to do the same!

Also when this was announced, the community was upset that only dlcs etc up to airports was done but I don’t think they realised the language that paradox using may indicate that newer ccps and dlcs are coming in addition to plazas and promenades etc. so exciting 😊
Just upgraded to remastered on PS5. I'm glad they added the eyedropper tool. It was much needed on the old gen version and I noticed the game lacking it back then. Also I enabled the 25 tile option and it doesn't disable trophies/achievements. Maybe they changed it since most of us want 25 tiles and to get our trophies. I mean more space isn't necessarily a cheat anyways, it doesn't make the game easier it just gives you more game.
I can't believe they made 25 tiles a cheat. Pairing that with the inability to carry over your previous unlocks is just....disappointing. So I have to play the old way, in order to enjoy the new...think I'll pass for now. Back to my potato PC

@@christoph90erno you cannot play from the beginning with 25 tiles and get trophies and milestones cause this option is under the cheat option. But you can start a new city without the 25 tiles option and after get all your milestones unlocked you change for the 25 option and get all that juice space for your building
I just hope they add the skyscrapers dlc eventually. Was also really hoping to be able to transfer save files. Had one city at 400k with 9 tiles. Wanted more lol. What's really needed are mods like move it and TMPE. Maybe when cities skylines 2 comes out in 25 years?
Does the eyedropper tool work for any building, even commercial/residential buildings? I think it would be amazing to duplicate those sorts of buildings, especially if there are good looking ones.
Just tried to unlock 10th area and realised that 25 tiles is not base game. I was really happy hearing this "remaster" had extra tiles, mainly because the Eiffel Tower had such a dumb requirement. I'm sat looking at a city with the exact same broken mechanics that have been in the game since it released 7 years ago. The developers admitted in the past that they can fix the traffic problems but won't (because someone made a mod, for free, on one platform). I got the platinum on PS4, I see no reason to replay an identical game to get it again. This update is completely pointless.
You didn't mention the most important thing as a console player. Do the trees look weird when you zoom in and out? The LOD settings on original console was horrendous. I hate seeing my trees look all weird every time I zoom in and out.

@@MoveTheMouse The ‘2023’ was a typo by Paradox(As they also said Airports was released 2023). The Fall part was actually just referring to the DLCs released fall 2022(P&P, FD and appropriate DLCs). There’s a possible DLC release happening soon and CS’ 8th birthday so I wouldn’t be surprised if they were released then or shortly after.
The strange thing with dlc is there not all showing in the ps5 version store but are on the ps4 one bit strange especially if people are new or don't know this not me but others....

I have all the dlc for PS4. I was excited for this when I first saw the announcement for about a day lol It's now the only reason why I'd jump to PS5 quicker than I am anticipating lol

There is an issue with the DLCs that should sort itself over time, Xbox and PS stores are lagging connecting all of the content correctly. Some show as owned, others do not. Also Plazas and Financial DLCS, the 2 most recent, were not remastered yet. Possibly Fall 23. The free upgrade was digital only, so if you have a physical copy it does not apply unfortunately.
I can't imagine how it's like to play CS on a console...has anyone played it both on a console and a PC? What do you think as a comparison? I mean, using a mouse and a keyboard vs a controller.
I play both and it's a decent port. Painting districts and zoning is much easier with keyboard and mouse but camera movement is silky smooth with a controller. PC is the better way to play, but PS and Xbox aren't bad.

I noticed the bottom right corner, you’re missing the orange bar for industrial needs. Are you not able to resize the interface? I own the regular game - not sure about the remaster if I can’t see if the people need jobs
For some unknown reason, you can't set the safe zone for the remastered version of the game like you can with the previous version and just about every other console game in existence. This results in parts of the screen being cut off. I can't see my industrial needs (yellow) bar on the bottom of my screen, and a lot of other info is clipped in info panels. Since I have an older TV and no remote for it, I can't adjust for size on the TV itself. I will be waiting for this to be fixed before I play with the remastered version. Hopefully, at some point, when they release the remaining dlcs, it will be remedied.
@@bluewrites2278 it’s the same with Crusader Kings - it seems to be a trend with PC ports on consoles. Stellaris was the same on release but the devs sorted that out pretty quickly
I had industries for the XBox one. Industries, on Microsoft store, is showing up as needing to purchase the updated version. I hope this isn't the case.
As a xbox one player, im sad about not having the new update but because i have xbox ultimate i can play the mew remastered game on xbox cloud, meaning xbox one users can access to the new update 😁

Correction to your comment that this is a "free upgrade". It is not. I own the disc based version, bought on day 1 of release. Upgrade costs me 40 euro. I also own the PS+ version. Again upgrade for that one costs me also 40 euro. I also own all DLC...
But how do the achievements work on Xbox? Because it says that "achievements are not supported for this game", the Xbox One Edition does have achievements. Any one who knows how this works?

Oh I thought I'm the only one as I haven't seen anyone complain about this. I hope they'll just have to turn them on or something. If not, at least it makes the 25 tiles "cheat" (and other cheats) a more viable option for the achievement hunters.

@@JPiolunek no you have to own it digitally on your playstation or xbox, physical version do not upgrade, nor does the free copy that got given in PS Plus. You dont need PS Plus/Xbox live to upgrade

Stupid releasing so much dlc for original console versions knowing many would buy it only a month later to release a version it cant be used with at launch. Sorry that stinks of rushed and badly thought out. Cities with all content costs a lot so to lose some even for however long is not good.

A question for all professionals here on site. I just got the remastered version for the PS5. But now I have to say that the remaster is a completely outdated version (1.002). An update is not possible. System tells me the latest version is available. On the PS4 the 13.02 is already installed .... Of course with all new addons. What can I do so that the malls, stadiums, etc. are also available on the remastered version? I have 35 addons on PS4 and only 20 on PS5. I do not understand. Please support. Thank you for your help :)
Any DLC after Airports has NOT been Remastered yet. That's coming this summer. And the DLC that just came out in March and the rest in May won't be on Remastered until "late summer" according to Cities Official Twitter.
I play on Xbox One, went on to see if there was an update. There wasn't then I seen a comment on another video about it being a different game. They didn't make that very clear. Anyway I have to play via the cloud, so I will give it a bash later, hopefully the problems regarding dlc not downloading are sorted by then. Kinda sucks we can't use it to make our current saves bigger, but they will probably fix that soon enough. Call of Duty season 2 is out today too, im more hyped about 25 tiles 🤣

Press the square button next to the home button on your controller then hold y and it’s will give you the option to drive or walk

There are a few DLC that isnt available on the remastered version, like the finance pack, korean pack and sky crappers pack.

LOD is just as bad in Remastered. Trees load in like crazy if you move the camera around.

Plazas and Promenades and Financial Districts are not remastered yet, so not accessible in this version of the game currently.
I just wanna ask if those new vehicles they added if they will be in cities skylines remastered in the future uptade?
Had no idea the update was free! Just recently started playing again and even bought some expansions. Already bought the VR edition, now I don't know which version to play :D.
Unlocking the unique buildings is absolute torture. I will definitely dismiss the Eiffel Tower and the Natural Disaster stuff for sure.
So in the map editor can you add outside rail, water, and highway connections? Like your own outside traffic spawn points?

Give it some time. The PS store might not be connecting the two. It's supposed to be a free upgrade on next gen consoles.

You cannot resize the interface on console but the full RCI bar is there. Are you on mobile with "zoom to fill"?

For some unknown reason, you can't set the safe zone for the remastered version of the game like you can with the previous version and just about every other console game in existence. This results in parts of the screen being cut off. I can't see my industrial needs (yellow) bar on the bottom of my screen, and a lot of other info is clipped in info panels.
Since I have an older TV and no remote for it, I can't adjust for size on the TV itself.
I will be waiting for this to be fixed before I play with the remastered version. Hopefully, at some point, when they release the remaining dlcs, it will be remedied.
@@bluewrites2278 it’s the same with Crusader Kings - it seems to be a trend with PC ports on consoles. Stellaris was the same on release but the devs sorted that out pretty quickly

I had industries for the XBox one. Industries, on Microsoft store, is showing up as needing to purchase the updated version. I hope this isn't the case.

As a xbox one player, im sad about not having the new update but because i have xbox ultimate i can play the mew remastered game on xbox cloud, meaning xbox one users can access to the new update 😁

Draw distance seems to be the same with previous consoles... Shame could have increased it a bit more. Obviously nextgen consoles can handle it.
Correction to your comment that this is a "free upgrade". It is not.
I own the disc based version, bought on day 1 of release. Upgrade costs me 40 euro.
I also own the PS+ version. Again upgrade for that one costs me also 40 euro.

But how do the achievements work on Xbox? Because it says that "achievements are not supported for this game", the Xbox One Edition does have achievements. Any one who knows how this works?
Turns out they don't. I was not aware of that at time of recording.

Does all owned dlc work when upgrading to the remaster?
Not yet apparently from what I'm seeing online, but it's supposed to. Don't rebuy any of the DLC.

I still don't have the remastered version. I don't know if it's because I use a a physical disk or what but I have a physical disc of city skylines and it will not let me get the remastered version for free

@@JPiolunek no you have to own it digitally on your playstation or xbox, physical version do not upgrade, nor does the free copy that got given in PS Plus. You dont need PS Plus/Xbox live to upgrade

Hit RB with a road out. Snapping, elevation, it's all there, with one less click now.
Stupid releasing so much dlc for original console versions knowing many would buy it only a month later to release a version it cant be used with at launch. Sorry that stinks of rushed and badly thought out. Cities with all content costs a lot so to lose some even for however long is not good.

A question for all professionals here on site. I just got the remastered version for the PS5. But now I have to say that the remaster is a completely outdated version (1.002). An update is not possible. System tells me the latest version is available. On the PS4 the 13.02 is already installed .... Of course with all new addons. What can I do so that the malls, stadiums, etc. are also available on the remastered version? I have 35 addons on PS4 and only 20 on PS5. I do not understand. Please support. Thank you for your help :)
Any DLC after Airports has NOT been Remastered yet. That's coming this summer. And the DLC that just came out in March and the rest in May won't be on Remastered until "late summer" according to Cities Official Twitter.

The graphics look kinda improved tbqh.
I play on Xbox One, went on to see if there was an update. There wasn't then I seen a comment on another video about it being a different game. They didn't make that very clear. Anyway I have to play via the cloud, so I will give it a bash later, hopefully the problems regarding dlc not downloading are sorted by then. Kinda sucks we can't use it to make our current saves bigger, but they will probably fix that soon enough. Call of Duty season 2 is out today too, im more hyped about 25 tiles 🤣
It's for the series s/x, so you won't see anything on the One.
