would have been an interesting video, but when you want to see what you are doing, is the back of your head and when you want yo hear what your are saying, is annoying music and too loud. wasted opportunity

Do you still have your Z3 M Roadster?

I sure do and I have a box of parts
, waiting to go in. Randy Forbes reinforcement kit; all rear bushings, refurbished VANOS and a safety-wired oil pump nut.

@@CarGuy1 Could you please make a video of the Randy Forbes kit and bushing replacement? Are you going to do the welding yourself? I understand it is quite a project.
How much did the kit cost you? Did you already have any cracks?

@@tayler2396 I will try, but I'm not 100% sure yet. My plan is to do the disassembly and the bushings myself and have a mobile welder come in and do his part. If I remember correctly, it was $600 or so shipped. Randy is getting up there in age, so I wanted to get my hands on the kit before he decides to retire. Plus the PDF with instructions that he provides are amazing.
My car doesn't have any cracks, but I can see a popped weld. I can also tell that someone attempted to do some sort of a repair back there, so who knows what I will uncover when I start cutting away.

@@CarGuy1 That seems like a very good idea to have a mobile welder come in. That way you can make sure he follows the instructions. I have a friend who would do a fantastic job, only he lives over 20 hours away. Not sure I want to drive that far. There's a specialty Z3 shop in Dallas, which isn't too far, but his price for installation of the kit starts at $3500, I believe!

@@tayler2396 The bulk of the labor comes from disassembly and re-assembly of the rear end.

Use a tiny flat head screwdriver to pry on them.
