EA's behaviour has been so unapologetically and gleefully destructive of so many things that people like and enjoy that they really are increasingly coming across as a completely unequivocal black hat in the current entertainment world.

It is still on Steam for ten bucks and it has mods on nexus and other sites. Also, I believe some people were getting multiplayer back up. It would still be a better use of money now if it was still 60.
The classic starwars battlefront 2 for pc has multiplayer again.
EA goal is the same as all major gaming companies. As much profit as possible with as little work. Since people care about graphics so much they put more work into looks than content and replay value. EA wants money, not fans.
It's also that the graphics are what is shown in the commercials, they're just a front.

Back to the old BF2 there waq this game mode called "hunt" where your roll was basicly to spawn as a clone (either from the Empire or the Republic) with a sniper and shoot the other team incarning the xenomorph of the current planet. Endor was one of those planets

Yeah you think we would at least get one or a handful that believe in what the empire is fighting for. It would be a nice change of pace. To have a imperial character remain a imperial. Like seriously, does every main character who happens to be a imperial have to switch sides to the rebellion or at least highly likely to do so?
The original Star Wars Battlefront 2 had exactly this. The story of the 501st Imperial Legion unit that fought with Palpatine to the end, always being loyal and never once doubting their orders. THAT was a good Battlefront game.

I must say, it was interesting to see Yahtzee do what few other reviewers have done and avoid talking about the micro-transactions for most of the video. That's not to say he doesn't talk about them at all, rather that he tries to focus on the single player story campaign and all its faults (and its few strengths) for the majority of the video.
It's rather refreshing to hear someone talk about the game play itself and the lack of real variety in the game (especially in the early stages) as opposed to focusing solely on the (as we've all established to our satisfactions, I hope) absolute garbage of the micro-transactions that WILL return to plague the game soon enough, once the majority of people have forgotten about this whole debacle.
That having been said, I do feel he could have mentioned some other things, like how practically every vehicle in multiplayer (not just the AT-AT) handle like absolute ass, or how the heroes feel like mere tidbits of fan service thrown in to keep the uninformed coming back long enough to tempt people to play the pseudo-gambling wheel of the micro-payment shop.
He's not a fan of multiplayer in games in general, so of course he avoided it.
And he did touch on the other vehicles having shit handling (though very briefly) by mentioning how the tie fighters could turn inside of a week. That's a pretty big margin of error there.
"Heroes feel like more tidbits of fan service". From what I've heard of 'The Last Jedi', this seems to be more of the new policy in the Star Wars office at Disney HQ.
As much as Jim Sterling's talked about the microtransactions, his video on the glitchy single player highlighted that despite the $60 + microtransactions, it really is a cash grab of a game that deserves no consideration
Yahtzee got me to buy Battlefield Hardline. I really enjoyed it and it got me into the battlefield games in a way bad company 2 and battlefield 3 never did. Sucks no one else liked it.

I've been watching this guy since the early 2000's when he was giving his opinion on PS2 games. I'm glad I found him again and that nothing has changed
3 years later, and it's a solid game (when free from epic games). It's almost like without microtransactions, the game was a really well designed and solid multiplayer shooter. Carving it up and selling it in tiny percentile chance boxes on release killed it. Shocking.

At At is the only way it's ever been said in any official capacity. The only time any Star Wars media has actually said the name is in a Lego Star Wars commercial. In the movies they're just called walkers.
That was change a little while ago to A-T A-T in order to bring it inline with the naming scheme of the other walkers (I.E. AT-ST is pronounced A-T S-T not At- Stuh)
I always called them 4-walkers. And the small ones 2-walkers.

Well, that's tragic - the 2005's version Battlefront II ALSO gave us a small battle map for Scout Troopers vs Ewoks. It was a small multiplayer option, but it was there.

I think the ideal cover system is were you there is no cover in certain places for say a dinning room or a hall way so you would have to make you own cover like again in dining room you could push down tables but it only has limited duration and you don't regain health behind cover you half to heal yourself and there should be options of how you get behind cover

I tried the PS2 version of Okami and found it very irritating that it took control away from me every 30 seconds. It breaks flow constantly and I assume it's only does this during the opening chapter, but I didn't have the patience to get past that bit. Maybe it's the sound effect for the dialog boxes that rubbed me the wrong way. :-/ Glad you like Okami though, it gets ported to everything.

The multiplayer gameplay is fun enough, especially the Star Battles. Whoever made the Star Fighter Assault game mode should make it into a single player game.

Now I don't mind Rey-well, aside from her Maryseuish tendencies which might or might not be gone as for now but *please, no Last Jedi spoilers for me,* as I'm stuck in China and won't be able to see the movie until 5 January!-because she's a Force user and that's kind of gender-equal and all that. But why the fuck are all these soldier ladies there, like Jyn or this bitch right here? Girls *do not dig military!*
You want to have a female character? Fine-but at least don't make her into a pretty boy with his dick cut off. Just look at the fucking statistics: a whopping *seven percent* of the player base for FPS games are female. Fucking _seven!_ You know the data for the life simulators such as The Sims? *Seventy* percent. So you're literally catering to almost nobody here. And the few girls who play this kind of games would play them with or without the female lead.
I just refuse to believe actual female gamers don't catch on to this BS. All these "empowering" pieces of shit are basically the same stuff they have always been: switch the gender of the main heroine and her love interest and boom, you get the most typical war romance out there. The guys who are in charge of this are just that-guys. They want to score points at Polygon and Sarkeesian-no idea why because most these experiments fail financially anyway-and they do so mechanically. These "strong female characters" are precisely what I wrote above: pretty guys with their dicks cut off, also removed are all traces of actual personality flaws because your object is to "impowah", not "make interesting". Said "strong female characters" make up their mind instantenously, often faster than their male buddies, because that's what most women are known for: their ability to make quick and firm decisions. They are always goal-oriented, not process-oriented, that's why their favorite game of all time is The Sims, well-known for its goal-oriented nature. Also, they're crazily brave because that's another trait common to all females: bravery (especially when nasty instects show up). And they never talk about those pesky feelings, which is probably why romance comedies are not at all called fucking *chick* flicks.

But when i hear that the head wroter for Spec Ops is writing a Star Wars game from the pov of the Wmpire at the end of Episode VI, I expect a futile struggle to hold on to extreme idealsthat continues to justify horrible things. The whole, attacking the empire after they enslave your home planet wouldve been great if it was near the end and you get killed eother there or when you decide that both sides suck and try and go on a fighter battle against the reble/impirial fleet solo and die in a blaze of glory.
