I had a gen 2 Raptor and traded for a TRX. Traded the TRX for a gen 3 Raptor. I like the gen 3 Raptor best. It just feels more agile and smooth. Plus the ability to turn the exhaust down is a plus for me. I don’t want to rattle my neighbors windows when I start my truck.
Beautiful truck I looked at that color. I got the 21 in antimatter blue posted a video muddying it in the desert on my channel. I got the peasant package with 35s. I hear people say the 37s are great did not want to sacrifice the gas mileage and the acceleration for bigger tires. I have had it out in the desert raising hell and then 35 air down on method 701Bead grip wheels works fabulous. Definitely an awesome looking truck. Still love it a year and a half later and I always look back at it in the parking lot. This truck looks like it never missed leg day . The sus pension is Elegant❤
I traded up from the Gen 2 on 35s to the Gen 3 on 37s. It’s a different animal. 37s were meant to be on this truck. Once you ride on the 37s you won’t go back to 35s. Better traction in the rear end , smoother ride and floats across bumps effortlessly.
Congrats on the Gen 2! And you wouldn’t think a 2 inch larger tire would look much different but man it give the Gen 3’s a crazy stance! Thanks for watching!
Haha thats a good way to put it. And no, not that moved by the bronco raptor. I was hoping for a different engine (V8) and I can’t stand the fender flares. Looks like it’s a good performer from the reviews I’ve seen but not sure if they’ve fixed the rest of the issues I have with the bronco for me to drop a bunch of money again. Thanks for watching!
No regrets at all when it comes to buying it. Never really wanted for power in it. feels plenty quick for it’s size on and off-road. Only regret I have with the truck was selling it instead of selling my bronco. I miss it all the time haha
@@PlatinumPeasant at the time, I had 3 off-roaders, wrangler 392, and a bronco. Didn’t need all 3, and thought the bronco made more sense to keep “TH-cam” wise but I should’ve just sold that one because it was my least favorite haha

Hope you'd buy the f150 raptor 37 package because it has a blue seats color or blue interior which is i think ur type. I like blue things also. I'd like to buy blue f150 sa as you but in 37 package. Gen3
Great video. Thumbs up! It's funny but the primary reason I am only considering one of the Ford F150's, the Raptor, Tremor or fully loaded Platinum with a little lift, and none of the competitor brands, is that fold out front center console flat work surface. I would find that so incredibly useful, so often. In fact, being older and not the crazy off roader of my younger years I was even considering an suv instead of a pick up, but I want that flat work surface darn it, and no suv's offer it. Funny something so extraneous as that center console flat work surface would be my deciding factor. Good thing, I can get it on any of the F150's I'm considering. I may not need the Raptor, but dang I sure do want one, that extra width, likely carrying into more room inside the cab, certainly more stability, what a great, aggressive look to it, and those spring shocks front and rear making for so smooth and quiet a highway drive, that's huge for me too. I'll be on roads, including highways, more than off road. Frankly, I won't be doing so much serious "off roading" as in my youth, some just not as much, but it will still benefit me on dirt roads and getting to and from campsites and fishing spots, maybe even in snow stormy weather living in mountainy ski country as I do. Wish it got better mpg's, but nothing's perfect. Love those solid steel paddle changers and that they are on the steering column and not part of the shifter down low between the two front seats as other models or on the dash as some of today's suv's like those from GM are. I mean, switch to manual and use the paddles, on the Raptor you can keep both hands on the steering wheel, not just one hand, which also makes it easier to keep your eyes more constantly looking to the road ahead, and all that seems kind of fundamental to me, both from a safety and a performance perspective. Crazy. Dang, this is a beautiful truck. A question, if you will: That row of tabs above the rear view mirror for hooking up the electricals for additional equipment to be used, like a row of roof top headlights for instance, it looks like there are 7 or 8 of them, what would be examples of things those could be used for, as many as you can think of? It looks like there are separate garage door buttons so it would not be for that. I'd love your insights. I've never had features like that and am trying to figure how many of those tabs I might find use for and for what purposes. Thanks. Another question: I will use this in desert environments some, but more often I'll be in high altitude, mountainy ski country needing to get reliably thru snow storms to and from ski areas and home. Do you think this gen 3 Raptor will handle altitude and bad slippery weather like rain and sleet or especially snow well? Cold weather too, for that matter? And does it offer specific modes for slippery and for deep snow as the Tremor and Platinum do? Other thoughts on this issue? Thanks. And again, exceptional review! Not just the run of the mill generic list of features, but your fave's and why. Thumbs up!
@@MS-mr4zm How about serious winter storm driving on road, on and off highways? Is there a "slippery" and maybe a "deep snow/sand" mode? Or can that wonderful adjustability he described set everything to be equivalent to a slippery or deep snow/sand mode? Oh, and all that air intake on the hood, I see the advantage of that in heat, but what about in extreme cold? These are some of my thoughts. I just love the look of that extra width, but also all that extra width in the interior, though a little concerned about that making in town driving and parking too difficult. Any thoughts on that?
@@Nate-zy5ce yeah there’s a slippery mode, the stock KO2s do pretty well in all conditions other than deep standing water @ speed b/c of how wide they are, but if ya REALLY wanna be unstoppable Nokian makes snow tires in the same size 315/70R17 & they’re studdable- that’s what I’m rocking in the winter on a separate set of wheels. @@MS-mr4zm That sounds awesome! I wouldn't get studs, that's overkill for where I live, but would absolutely get dedicated snows without studs. Exciting as hell the way you describe it. Thanks for the replies. And I love the way he describes the suspension and smooth, quiet drive, for I would be doing a good deal of highway driving all year round, so sounds like an incredible road trip vehicle.
