Great interview! People often criticize plant based doctors with simply wanting to sell books. What they don’t understand is that they are some of the most self-less humans around. It would be easier for them to keep this information hidden and make money by prescribing medication. However, they truly care about their patients and want them to be healthy! I have so much admiration for plant based doctors :)
NatuHealth They mentioned they have free information on his website. Most of the doctors have free information on their websites. But they also sell books to sustain their projects and also help get the word out since sometimes a book is easier to share with family and friends. Some people just prefer books.
NatuHealth For example, Dr. Greger from NutritionFacts.org. He has tons of free videos on TH-cam and has a lot of that information written out on his free website. I bought his book, it was a lot of the same information I already saw on his videos, but it's nice having a handy copy of it which is all in one place. I didn't have to buy the book, I chose to. All the sales from his book helped get the word out and he's even been on television for a few interviews which helps spread the word to even more people who are in need of this information. They are hardly "getting rich" from promoting a healthy diet. They put in a lot of time and effort into their research and developing programs that will benefit people. If they wanted an easy life they would probably make more money off prescribing medication and going home instead of putting in the effort to healing their patients.
NatuHealth No it's not an easy life, how could it be? It takes work and dedication to go around and inform the masses, and for those who are introverts they're forcing themselves to interact with crowds just to spread the word. For weeks they have to sacrifice their social lives. They don't make money on their own either. Writing and promoting a book or organizing an event generates wealth for many people.

I eat plant based, and I am in my late fifties. For the most part, I do not worry about my health. It is one of the good things about saving animal lives. I don't think I am bullet proof with respect to health, because that would be stupid, but I believe that I will most likely stay healthy. I love the animals, "those gorgeous souls that we share the planet with." Great guest.
Thank you. I really am keen on seeing a better world for ALL beings. It burns me to the core sometimes to see the injustice that befalls the animals on this planet. It's exasperating that consuming foods based around plants not only saves their lives but also ours....yet many are blind to this.

Great info. I've had nutritionists tell me to use chicken, tuna fish, cheese, and so on and hardly any beans, potatoes because of starches, and only be on a 32 carb per meal and 1200 calorie a day. I am 62 and went plant based I can only hope my readings go down. Thank you.

@@paulewing4620 the fact that you have learned alot about your health judging by you commenting on this channel.. you would think you wouldnt be so naive as to push your *religion* on people. Religion is the reason why our government can do whatever they want. It has brainwashed all of us, pulled us from reality. The reality is the ones in power are (illuminated) meaning light berair. They worship the sun because they understand it's the only energy force pushing all of life and keeping it in existence. We're almost there. I guess in 50 years all medical doctors can learn this in their standard curriculum, maybe by then they can download the knowledge directly into their brains, instead of wasting time and money through the normal way.

99% of doctors don't WANT wellness for their patients- they would be loosing customers! When doctors DO focus on diet, they are sure to recommend foods which will keep their customers sick.
Thank you! My sister-in-law is a pediatrician who just refuses to watch any of these types of videos. And the funny thing is her own parents have been plant-based for two years and have reversed their pre-diabetes. How can I get her to actually watch any videos by plant-based doctors? Her and her doctor friends also I might add. They feel like if they did not learn it in medical school it could not be true!
Lisa Lightning : I find that teaching/exposing folks to different/new things they either say no, say eh maybe or say yes. It is like religion and politics not everyone wants to hear/see it and we have to not become wfpb/vegan/vegetarian nazis....IMHO....have a good day
One of my friends is a general practitioner (doctor) with a large client base practice. He studied two years of nutrition at university in an extra curriculum. He swears by a "balanced" aka S. A. D. diet. He is deeply convinced that a plant based diet is unhealthy and dangerous. I spent two days around christmas with him and his family (in his big house). The evening we watched 2 hours of TH-cam. We watched Spongebob and funny videos. He refused by his life to watch a 5 minute video from Dr. Greger or Dr. McDougall.
Hi, I’ve searched Dr Hadj’ website and name but found no links. I’m in Melbourne and would like to look him up. Any further details you could share about him.
Hey PBN and comment section, I've been wanting to go wholefoods vegan for a while now, and my mum recently had a mini-stroke, she found out she has high cholesterol, BP as well as some other issues. I told her about plant-based eating and some of the science behind it, with cholesterol, BP, Weight loss, etc. Anyway long story short, we're planning to make our first "cooking steps" in plant-based eating (I already cut out all dairy and meat for breakfast & lunch). But I don't really know how to cook many vegan meals and I wanted to know if you have any cookbook recommendations apart from Dr. Gergors How Not To Die Books. I'm Grateful for any advice and suggestions :)
I'm plant based and have been for many years (I'm 33 now) and my husband's family is not. I sometimes flash forward 20 30 years and wonder what their health conditions are going to be compared to mine. But l already know the answer to that. 🧐🙈🤷♀️
Gavin Matthews He mentioned it only twice, which is a bit surprising because people from malbawn often see it as a badge of honour to promote that shithole of a place.
I can appreciate that Dr Hadji is supportive of his profession but keeping people sick is big business and it keeps Drs in their lives of luxury. Some of them don't want to know the benefits of nutrition.
Yes, I think it's important to acknowledge that if everyone went WFPB, the medical profession would shrink by perhaps 2/3rds. That's an important disincentive to spreading the news.
We all have a agenda. I love a healthy lifestyle. How is it that people who fast properly lose weight get more healthy and stronger. However, it seem like he was putting that down in a way.
Very true; in fact I did a 8 day water fast last year after talking to Dr Klaper about it. I think it is prob the most POWERFUL way to rejuvinate your health, but it has to be done very carefully and under medical supervision. Dr Klaper has some great youtube videos on this. Cheers.
Quite sad to learn that former@ex vegans/vegetarian is 5 times higher than vegans themselves and that hasn't change yet. We got many enthusiastic newby vegans everyday but how many of them stay vegans for the long terms? Few. I don't count vegans whom had "cheat meals" or anyone whom randomly claimed on youtube comments like "I have been vegan for 30 years, etc" but turned out he just a kid, judging from the way he talked. What I am trying to say, anyone can make a lie. It seems the vegans society don't really do anything to fix this. They just ditch ans judge the ex vegans, claiming they do "it" wrong, ex vegans not really a vegan, excuses, bla, blah. Worst is when so called ethical vegans go far wasting their time to verbally abusing and public shaming ex vegans on youtube. I saw this too many times already. Nice. Well done. No, not really. It just gives me more reason to look down on Veganism. Anyway, rather than using drastic and extreme approach like asking for zero meat, dairy and eggs as well as zero animals based products, why not start with simple steps like reducing the amount of animal products first? It seems people whom slowly transitioning will have high success compared to people whom drastically changed their diet. You can't teach a baby to walk before you teach it to stand first.
Veganism has grown by roughly 500% in the past four years. Even if only 20% of people stay vegans, as long as people keep going vegan, vegans will make up a steadily growing portion of the population.
I think the slow approach to changing your diet is a very good idea. I agree with you that it is up to the individual how they choose to eat. Judging and criticism never changes anyone's mind.
Does anybody talk about the cancerous PESTICIDES inside regular supermarket vegetables and fruits? Arent they dangerous for humans? By eating a plant based diet, you must consume a lot of those chemicals (fertilizers, pesticides)... Im tryin to go VEGAN, but this is a topic thats kind of holding me back.
Thanks for sharing. I admire this Doctor for going vegan as he will be a better practitoner for doing so. However, medical schools deliberately do not want to teach doctors nutrition!. They teach Doctors other stuff that does not lead to helping patients. Sadly, medical schools teach doctors to be drug pushers and surgeon's, not to be helping patients with prevention and nutrition. The medical system deals with symptoms. which is very profitable, not with the root cause of the problems. cheers.
If you look into studies that promote a vegan diet you will find that most are correlation rather than causation, are privately funded, and or are matched by a study that finds the opposite.
Not true at all. The converging consensus from multiple lines of evidence is that a plant-based diet is healthiest overall in the long run. We're talking thousands of research studies, mostly conducted by people who eat meat and dairy, and including experimental studies that have identified the many ways in which animal foods promote higher rates of disease. There's still some uncertainty about whether vegan or nearly vegan is healthiest for everyone, but there are zero studies showing diets with substantial animal foods beating our WFPB diets for overall health.
Daniela Ricci wow, is that a demand?! You come across a bit obnoxious, although you probably don't mean to in this case. Learn some English. I'm not a native English speaker either, but I don't demand that everything be in my native language with tons of exclamation marks at the end of the sentence.
Great video not going to say the channel name. But some people trying say vegan lifestyle isn't long term like 8 years saying it made them Ill now there eating meat again well they will be more sick even if it's grass-fed beef eggs these people are making it hard for someone like me from trying a vegan lifestyle
That person was never vegan. they tried to eat a plant diet for a while and they did it poorly. Veganism is an awakening to the Hell that we put animals through in our world - and that it's completely unnecessary, and then living in a way that avoids participating in or supporting the systems that exploit animals. It's about reducing harm. A person doesn't experience that awakening and then decide one day that ' it's not for them' and that they'd rather just be more cruel and cause more harm. Learn more about what our animal victims go through, see them, hear them, and think of them if you ever have difficulty deciding to avoid an animal-based food or purchasing a product with animal ingredients or suffering involved. The Earthlings documentary changed my life.
Dylan Barsby well I'm going to be a vegan in taking one step at a time gave up eggs animal milk but the how not to die cook book should help get me on the right track of what I can make plus I'm love smoothies plus use nutritional yeast enjoy plant milk
I see, oh well, for what it's worth, it didn't sound like a question, it sounded like a statement. I would gladly explain but it seems English really is an obstacle for you. You probably don't speak German, Spanish or Bulgarian either. But I'm sure there must be good sources in Italian too, search the web for forums or blogs, or TH-cam for vegan Italian TH-camrs; if you're prepared to pay small amounts of money you can look up Dr Neal Barnard's book "Dr Neal Barnard's Program for Reversing Diabetes" (I think I found it as "Curare il diabete senza farmaci. Un metodo scientifico per aiutare il nostro copro a prevenire e curare il diabete" on the Italian Amazon); or you might also be able to find it in a local library. That is, if you are interested in the matter of cholesterol and diabetes in particular. Another book to look at is "How Not to Die" by Dr Michael Greger (I think that must be the "Sei quel che mangi. Il cibo che salva la vita"), it explores most major diseases and how diet affects them. I found this video of Dr Neal Barnard's TED talk that has Italian subtitles: th-cam.com/video/oQ8pQ_EdKR0/w-d-xo.html I know I have stumbled upon other videos of similar talks of other doctors that happen to have Italian subtitles, but unfortunately they're not very easy to find. Good luck on your quest.
Great interview but by the way you might mention that the full talk costs five dollars. I keep buying videos to give to other people but they never want to watch them so I now have stacks of videos. No omnivore will pay five dollars to get information they don't want to hear.
I also gave way videos, and no one changed. My Dr.'s nurse almost fell over when she asked what meds I was on. I said none, and ahe said what kind, I repeated none. Then she looked at my age again, 65 years, and was , silent. I love plant food am so glad I switched yrs ago.

Exactly Nicha . Very well said.
They are paid not to by the pharmaceutical industry and medical community in general overall.
I like that this guy sounds very genuine about what he says.
Thank you. I really am keen on seeing a better world for ALL beings. It burns me to the core sometimes to see the injustice that befalls the animals on this planet. It's exasperating that consuming foods based around plants not only saves their lives but also ours....yet many are blind to this.
Plant-based news promotes propaganda that fish is unhealthy and actively prompts vegan junk food from subway and KFC and McDonald's so what is it is vegan about your health or the animals if it is about health then why do you make videos when a non-vegan restaurant make vegan junk food I but go all on abord when talking about unprocessed food like fish I wonder
Plus
The title should be why vegan doctors like to hate anything that's non-Vegan I can make a whole video about why brown rice is unhealthy because the high level of arsenic cause cancer so therefore brown rice is unhealthy what about the DHA IN Fish is better than ALA in plants and much more bioavailable I think I would rather listen to what longest living healthy Japanese are eating whole food unprocessed diets
just because most vegans are less likely to smoke and drink alcohol and eat less processed food doesn't mean that vegan diets are Heather at all the fact that pesco-vegetarians had the lowest hazard ratio for all-cause mortality in the Adventist Health Study 2 despite pollution? I can see the ecological and other ethical problems with eating seafood, but doesn't epidemiology contradict the claim that a vegan diet is healthier than a pescovegetarian diet? I don't think I know better, it's just that I see some contradiction here.
This study on vegans' use of saying vegan being Heather than meat-eater has clearly shown the opposite true with the fish-eater this doesn't mean vegan diets are unhealthy but not optimal as whole food plants based with some fish since this diet provides all the nutrients from plants and B12 DHA and more biologically available vitamins A and D, therefore, non-vegan diets can be slightly Heather than WFPBD
Not all vegans eat this diet vegans do eat refined carbs also added vegetable oils are and mock meats are not correct to say that vegans are automatically Heather because their diet is vegan
Any idea, why pesco-vegetarians had the lowest hazard ratio for all-cause mortality in the Adventist Health Study 2 despite pollution? I can see the ecological and other ethical problems with eating seafood, but doesn't epidemiology contradict the claim that a vegan diet is healthier than a pescovegetarian diet? The level of mercury in fresh Atlantic salmon is 220 parts per billion mercury so which means
That a 3oz serving is equal to 85 grams of Salmon
220/1000000000 equal
0.00000022 grams of mercury x1000 to milligrams then it's 0.00022 milligrams x1000 to micrograms then it's 0.22 microgram x85 for 3oz serving 18.7 micrograms of mercury
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that 0.1 mcg per kg) of body weight per day is the maximum safe dose of mercury.
So 18.7 mcg from fish
I am weighing about 73kg that's about 161 lb
So
Roundabout 0.10mcg per lb
so my exposure Is within the safe non-risk limit if I eat 85 grams every day which is a lot I eat about 85 grams of salmon 3 times a week so my total consumption a week is about 255grams that's equal to 9oz a week
Now we have to x3 the exposure of mercury that's come at
18.7/161 = 0.116149068322981 x3 = 0.348447204968943
Roundabout 0.35
I have to 7x the safe expound limit of 0.1 x7 = 0.7 mcg per pound per week is safe to limit
I only would get 0.35 which is well within the safe limit so at this level heavy metals like mercury are completely harmless to get a negative effect you need to be exposed serval times the upper safe limit so you are wrong about
fish contains omega 3 and DHA that helps the brain development and lower heart disease anyways if you are still concerned about this explore it safe to eat a fish a couple of times a week the benefits of fish completely outweigh the negative so stop spending misinformation
If you still are stubborn about not eating heavy metal you do know that you're exposed to heavy materials at a far higher amount from second-hand smoke brown rice has arsenic that's doesn't mean that brown rice is unhealthy like fish the benefits outweighs the drawbacks of combining fish with prominently plant-based is optimal for health 👍
I am not saying that if you don't eat fish you will be unhealthy or anything you could live as healthy
Without eating animals products as well
I am just trying to inform people that spending misleading information about the health effects of eating meat and fish is toxic does not help promote veganism because veganism has
All to do with animals' ethics and the environment because both of these aspects are harming animals directly or indirectly
While health is a personal choice
nice logic very mon biased video 😂😂
Hospital breakfast in Austria / EU: white wheat bun, 1 egg, 1 piece of butter, 1 low fat yoghurt, 2 TS strawberry jam. Trained dietitians who hardcore claim how good they are. Doctors that swear by them. Patients that trust them 100 %.
same in Slovenia.
Same in Czech republic.... And ham, for nursing women at neonatal ward with newborns, with 65% of meat and the rest is chemical additives...Horrible diet style..
wow
Same in Canada!

Great info. I've had nutritionists tell me to use chicken, tuna fish, cheese, and so on and hardly any beans, potatoes because of starches, and only be on a 32 carb per meal and 1200 calorie a day. I am 62 and went plant based I can only hope my readings go down. Thank you.
Lorraine Ukleya they will but they won't say it's your diet lol! 1200 calories is crazy! I did that and lost weight but it never stuck... it's not sustainable! I ate 2000 Cal a day and lost 75lbs doing so! My only exercise was walking. 10 mins a day and increased as I could, now I walk about 5-7 miles a week but I also eat more, as I feel I need the extra...still losing! I have 40 lbs to go to get to a normal weight for my height! I eat high carb low fat plant based :) I love potatoes, rice, and beans! I went off all my meds! Yay!

They are the ones that poison our food, air, etc.... they live long healthy lives while we are lucky to be 60. Alot of things in this world add up to be true. But religion? Hell no.. the only reason religion works is because of fear and hope. All anarchists and so called divine rulers of our past have ruled with the same concept.
I've been wondering what kind of people who dislike this useful video?
Thank you from the bottom of my heart PBN and everybody else that is involved
If all doctors turn plant based more people will too.
I think it's super important to mention we should be eating organic non gmo plants. If your eating plants that have been sprayed with pesticides and poisons you'll be ingesting them along with the altered genetic foods. Health is our greatest wealth. Stay rich my friends
Plant Based News you have saved many lives. I would love to work for you!
Me too
I’d love to find a doc like him! Remarkable!
I love him! you can tell how much he enjoys his work and how much hope he has!
Thank you! I really do have hope that we are progressing towards a better world for all (particularly the animals who have no voice but ours).
Stay rooted, my friends!
Great interview! Compassion and education is always a great combo!
Thank you Dr.Anthony you are an amazing voice for all beings. shine your light bright. Thanks PBN for this interview great to see another PB Doc taking a solid stand and compassionately lifting the blindfold that causes so much suffering to all beings.
Great speech doc!
Excellent interview! Australia is going ahead in leaps and bounds in plant based! Thank you PBN! You are my daily go to channel! Your doing a fantastic service to society! Anyone know of a plant based doctor in Darwin?
Great interview!
Did that course last year and learnt a lot from it! 💪
We're almost there. I guess in 50 years all medical doctors can learn this in their standard curriculum, maybe by then they can download the knowledge directly into their brains, instead of wasting time and money through the normal way.
Fantastic interview klaus - as always :)
I love this information I'm 13 years old and stared being a whole plant base diet i love it

99% of doctors don't WANT wellness for their patients- they would be loosing customers! When doctors DO focus on diet, they are sure to recommend foods which will keep their customers sick.
When will you announce the winners of fhe free e- cornell course? I just signed up, hope i can still participate....tnx
Good video, thanks Klaus
McDougall.
Some people are close minded and idiots.
Hi, I’ve searched Dr Hadj’ website and name but found no links. I’m in Melbourne and would like to look him up. Any further details you could share about him.

Who knows what is the title of the song at the beginning?
My cancer doctor told me to cut down on the consumption of red meat.
what a boss!
Thank you! :)
Were about's in Australia is he practicing ?
Gavin Matthews He mentioned it only twice, which is a bit surprising because people from malbawn often see it as a badge of honour to promote that shithole of a place.
What are these hearts? Are they edible??
My comment is number 150, this should have a lot more 😊
Does anybody talk about the cancerous PESTICIDES inside regular supermarket vegetables and fruits?
Arent they dangerous for humans? By eating a plant based diet, you must consume a lot of those chemicals (fertilizers, pesticides)...
Im tryin to go VEGAN, but this is a topic thats kind of holding me back.
Wao! How tall is he?
Pure water movement whoop whoop!
Interesting that Gundry MD advertisements ran first. Irony or what?
Awesome presentation with Dr Hadj, by the way.

I feel in his past life he may have been jumping around in a bikini selling books. The force is strong there haha. Good interview thnx
Hahaha! Maybe I was...but in this life I have evolved to a more dignified position :)
Thanks for sharing. I admire this Doctor for going vegan as he will be a better practitoner for
doing so. However, medical schools deliberately do not want to teach doctors nutrition!. They
teach Doctors other stuff that does not lead to helping patients. Sadly, medical schools teach
doctors to be drug pushers and surgeon's, not to be helping patients with prevention and nutrition.
The medical system deals with symptoms. which is very profitable, not with the root cause of the
problems. cheers.
What a dude. :)
👍👍🥰
Please in italian !!
Daniela Ricci wow, is that a demand?! You come across a bit obnoxious, although you probably don't mean to in this case. Learn some English.

Hahahah good one Daniela. You're funny.
Sorry but my questions are for me important because I would like become vegan but I'm so confusion. ..
