9:35 That guy wasn't stealing anything, he was just running to the other Queens pizza places you missed : Amore Pizza in Whitestone, Rosa's Pizza in Maspeth, and Ciro's Pizza in Rockaway Park
Guys I’m Puerto Rican raised in NYC since 1 yo, watching you makes me miss home. I’m stuck in the Philippines right now and I’m hungry for all those foods. Thanks for sharing great food there.it’s sad that many places are shutting down. I’m living in florida though. Thanks.
As someone who has lived and worked in several neighborhoods of Queens I really appreciate this video! I have fond memories of New Park Pizza during grad school. :)
Great videos. I would say German cuisine flies under the radar. I suggest Zum Stammtisch restaurant in Glendale Queens. It has a German delicatessen attached to it. Waitresses wear dirndl dresses. The food is very filling, you won't leave hungry.
NICKS!!! My husband and I are from forest hills and trust me nick's NEVER disappoints. Maybe I am biased but I find it's better than most supposedly "top" spots in nyc. trust me trust me, nicks is the sleeper in NYC
I am from Queens and I ate New Park Pizza regularly before we moved to Forest Hills. That place is always busy because it's simply the real deal. I do love to try specialty slices and would give the Thanksgiving pizza a try.
I cracked up laughing when that guy ran through your shot at Dani’s 😂😂😂 I love how your friend hollers “Did he steal something?!” Great job on your videos Jon. I have felt in my spirit for over a decade that at some point I will live in NY. And of all the youtubers in nyc, your videos have most captured my attention and given me so much useful information. Thank you for the work you do. Be blessed. 😊
You hit the nail on the head. Dead on! New Park, Dani’s & Nick’s. My 3 fav plain slice spots. Excellent job boys!!! If you ever want to do a square pizza show … try LaVilla in Lindenwood Queens. Caprese & La Nonna…phenomenal!!!
I've been to Nick's and New Park Pizza and they're both great in their own way. I would also suggest Lucia's in Flushing. It's a hole in the wall and you feel like you're suspended in time when you go there. Their thin slice pizza is the bomb 😋
I always love it when you make a pizza video. Dont hang out too much at Queens, but all those places look great to be honest, i especially like Rosarios, looks like a nice family place with a very good Italian deli. Definitely will go there soon.
We always called Dani’s the Pizza nazi. The owner was 110 yr old lady dressed in all black. She would work the 5 seats at the counter serving slices and drinks. If you didn’t order enough food she would curse you in Italian. We went and ordered 1 slice and a glass of water. She went friggin nuts. She also worked the register. She trusted no one. RIP sweet princess

Lucía pizza in Flushing Queens and Amore pizza also in Flushing Queens. The two are within walking distance of one another. And you will be very happy after eating slices from these two spots. Also Gaby's in Hollis Queens.
Amen. . I've seen all your food vlogs on Queens' food and they are delicious. I also eat pizza backwards at times(back to front).I remember when you could get a slice of kimchi pizza in downtown flushing. So much good pizza.
Astoria (my old hood) definitely has some of the best pizza in NYC! Try Sofia’s Pizza on Rockaway Blvd next time. Pizza there & many other Italian dishes there are really good!!!
So many great pizza places in Queens, Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten Island and Manhattan. There is a pizza for every taste bud. Haven't been to Krave yet. Looks interesting.
Amore pizza in Flushing is the best slice in the borough! They are the true successors to the Legendary Gloria’s on Main Street. Lucia’s in Flushing is a close second
When I would visit my grandparents in Whitestone, we would eventually end up in Flushing, and a stop at Gloria’s was a must. I’ve lived in Maryland for almost 60 years, and there is nothing here that compares with Gloria’s.
To think, last year we were supposed to hit up Nick's when we did our video together. And now you went to Dani's as well by where I currently live. Both places make me proud to be in Central Queens. Speaking of good Queens pizza, Slice LIC, Pizza Sam, and Amore Pizza are all great choices too. Excellent video Jon
I'm from the south. New Park Pizza was my first NY slice back in like 1992 or 1993. I still live in the south and it's still the slice I compare all NY style slices to.
Forest Hills is blessed to have multiple great pizza options: Nick's Pizza, in the video Austin Street Pizza Dante's (Grandma Pie Pizza) Numero 28 (a chain, but still very good)
Romeo's in Ozone Park - about 1/2 mile from New Park has great specialty slices. sLICe in Astoria & LIC has a great regular slice, Gloria's in Forest Hills has a LONG history and GREAT regular slice and then there is Amore, Lucia, and Margherita that are carbon copies of each other
I feel like Samaria’s Pizza in Astoria, by Bel Aire Diner, is one of the best crunchy cheesy pizzas you can get from a small family owned joint. I love it, and my grandfather grew up eating that pizza. All my personal opinion,
I just came back from Woodside, Queens, NY. yesterday. I wish I would have seen this video before. I would have went. I was looking for a good pizza place in Queens.I wasn’t too far from Astoria. Thanks for your advice about NY. I watch your videos all the time.
New Park is the only place in the video I've tried before and it is quite good. When I went there, I noticed that they had these red old school cash registers which I've never seen anywhere else nowadays. Also, I think I'll be trying that pesto pizza in the imminent future 😋
As living almost 30 years in Queens I can say every area has probably not one but multiple great places. Aside from Dan’s and Nicks there also Paul Michael’s Brick Oven Pizza with great story of Solerno, Italy native after going to culinary school there came to NYC and opened it in 2003 or 28 year old Dee’s Brick Oven pizza where Ray Romano’s family come for pizza and Italian food. Btw Nick’s one of my wife’s favorite place. As for me I grew up going to Rosa’s pizza in Maspeth. There my friend always get eggplant and I would experiment with ziti pizza, or taco pizza. Not sure about now but back in 90s Maspeth was area where every block had pizzeria and sometimes more than one
Gino's is good (across the street from New Park Pizza in Howard Beach). Dani's is good also (listed in video). It's great for late nights, as they used to close super late pre-corona.
Goldang.....so much pizza! not sure about the second one, but they all looked tasty. Insane robber running through your shoot! Might have been a dare or something...hopefully
We’re lucky to live very close to Nicks so take out is a snap and we do it often. New Park is also great. Rosas is also a good option since they also serve meals that are huge.
Cafe Rustico in Whitestone, VIP Pizza in Bayside, Pizza Garden in Flushing Gaby’s Pizza in Hollis and Michael & Sons in Flushing are a few to me that should have been noted .
ViPizza and Rustico are both excellent. The Sicilian and Grandma slices from Freddy’s are top notch as well! Grew up in Whitestone and can definitely attest to all of these 😂
Margaritas pizza off Guy R Brewer Blvd and Jamaica ave. After a slice you might renag on what you consider the best pizza in town is. And I love new park pizza.

A slice of pizza and a cold drink is hardly a dismal path. In fact its the best pick me up in a hectic city. Nothing like a quiet meal in a pizza shop after a hard day.
Sweet potato with marshmallow sounds good! Never thought of those going on pizza before. I would eat a slice of that pizza, but without the turkey. A veggie Thanksgiving/Christmas pizza! That's so weird how the guy just ran through your vlog. A lot of crazy things must happen in NYC sometimes.
Gaby's is the best pizza in Queens and top 3 in all of New York. They've been at the same spot for 58 years 204-23 Hillside Ave. They Won best Pizza in the city on the Rachel Ray show and then had a competition with the best Pizza spot from Chicago and beat them. Definitely go and give them a try you won't be disappointed
