my boy welcome to the land of the living. The bronx is the most criminally underrated borough in New York. it gets a bad rep for being "too dangerous" but its just as dangerous as parts of manhattan and long island. The bronx is the real melting pot of New york forget queens. Please everyone do yourself a favor and visit the bronx asap. The biggest natural park in New york is here. Pelham bay park is so amazing. some of the best Jamaican, dominican, mexican, chinese, polish, russian food is in the Bronx Trust.
I'm glad Luciano's still has the booths with the orange benches. Back in the day every pizzeria had those booths. Most places have remodeled and replaced them.
Finally you’re above time square! There is life in the Bronx, glad you are finally showcasing that. I was getting tired of Brooklyn Brooklyn Brooklyn. I get that’s your fav borough but your audience is more than just BK.
Pugsleys will always be the best place ever. I used to eat there every Friday alone or with people there beautiful people and there family. Miss and love you guys.
Great to see Greg back on the pizza hunt with you today. Love all the places you visited and the gong at Pugsley is next level…Sal really is the OG isn’t he. Loved the penne and vodka pizza, I have t tried one yet, it’s on my list! ❤❤❤
Geez Jon, you are killing me with these pizza slices! Not had dinner yet. I like the look of them all but that last one with the sausage did it for me! I think i could scarf down a half dozen slices easy! Great vid & thanks for sharing!👍👏🤣🤣♥️🇺🇸🏴
I love content about parts of NY that people don’t normally see. I just visited NYC again after about 20 years and of course it was a lot of fun. But some parts of it felt a little like a theme park. Content like this reminds me that real people live and work in NY.
I grew up in the Bronx. John and Joes on Lydig Ave was my pizza spot. Maybe I was just a kid and didn't know any better, but i remember it being really good.
GREG!!! Always know it's going to be a banger of a video when our boy Greg is in it! I don't think I've ever actually had a penne slice before, gotta try one! Yes! Def got Luigi's vibes from Tommy's. Both of which I first heard of from you! gotta try out bronx pizza! I guess it is geographically closer to the water source that New Yorkers say makes the pizza so special
I would really love to try the Margherita pizza and the sausage pizza. Those are my top two favorite pizzas, but all the pizzas look great. Cool concept of having a pizza especially built into a house. No long commute for when you get a craving for pizza. Cheers, Jon! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
My favorite pizza is at Patricias of Morris Park. It's the wild mushroom pizza and it is ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!! It is just up the street from Lucianos!
Patricias is probably my favorite restaurant here in the Bronx. Enzo’s on Arthur Ave is great too, as is Artie’s on City Island- but Patrias does everything right, consistently.
I gotta go with Tommy's as my #1 and the last place as my #2. The only thing about the last place, the crust was a bit floppy and it looked like the top has a bit too much liquid. These joints that use San Marzanos sometimes fail to remove enough of the liquid and it translates into soggy crust. Lou Malnatti in Chicago has the best tomatoes I've ever tasted on a pie. That said, the amount of excess liquid from the tomatoes is a problem most of the time. Good job fellas
@@HereBeBarr Come to Ottawa the Capital of Canada people have opinons Ottawa is the Boring Capital of Canada but to me Ottawa is a great city in Canada
Bronx born and lived more than half my life here. Been to three of the four. Louie & Ernie’s is the standout, among the best in the city. One more Bronx place (as good as the others) to try is Addeo’s on Riverdale Avenue and 259th Street. Actually accessible by car with a small parking lot a few doors down!
Nice video! I lived in the bronx for 7 years and I have to say it's some of the best food in NYC there. One day you should go to Little Jamaica in north BX. Food is amazing!
Great places & people !!! I like the 1st place very much; the important detail is to put olive oil on the fresh pizza (to top it one can add a bit of fleur de sel). The Bronx has great potential. There are also some nice condos.
I'm A senior citizen who grew up in the Bronx. In my childhood all the pizza places where great. Even back then you could not survive in NYC if your pizza was not good. Best pizza of my childhood was at an Italian restaurant that only did whole pies, no silces. They did the artisinal pies of today before they where famous and expensive.
I'm 41, and I remember growing up in Brooklyn good pizza was good, I visited a few years ago, and it's like a treasure hunt now to find good pizzza, most of the stuff I tried was not good.
Love the Boogie Down. I’ve had excellent pizza there many times. The best pizza for me though is Delmar Pizzeria in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. But we all know it’s about personal preference and that’s what I grew up eating. Great video!
Thanks guys. Watching this you had me hankering for pizza. So I had to order a pie. Luckily I live in a part of Jersey where the pizza scene is not that bad.
Nyc has changed for the better? Lmao yeah everyone there loves all the illegal immigrants who have ruined it. I lived in NY for the first 35 years of my life. For the first few years I missed it. Now I don't even care about ever going back because it's turned into such a POS.
Been to Lou and Ernie's and not surprised at all. The Bronx has a rich Italian tradition. Just stopped by G nd R deli for an Italian Ice Cream Cone last weekend. Amazing as well!
Yum, I love penne ala vodka. That place looks like so much fun and the pizza looks so delicious! I live in Orlando and the best pizza here is made by Albanians. Every pizza place I've been to here with Albanians making them has been as good as anything I got in NY.
Definitely check out Original Joes Pizza too on williamsbridge road, and while you're at it, try the vietnamese food from VPho and Pizzeria. A viet place that took over a pizza spot and added a viet menu
Ate at Louie and Ernie’s on Crosby yesterday and it was the best pizza I ever had. The sausage was perfect. The Sicilian was insane very crispy bottom but not that thick and very light. Picked up some t shirts from them as well. If you want the best pizza then head to the BX and hit up Louie and Ernie’s
I went to the bronx in 1999, I was really worried, but found it safe, and approachable, never saw any issues, I felt safer there then I did in London and I live in the UK... The ancient stereotype of the bronx being dangerous is VERY outdated. prego's pizza on mace ave bronx is a hidden gem and also cestra 3 in westchester sq they got the best sicilian. these 2 are better than the Crosby and Morris park ones
I can tell you for a fact the best PIZZA in NYC is on Dyckman been there for over 30 years and the BEST. It's called PIZZA PALACE. please anyone prove me wrong.
Only ever gone to Emilio's on Morris Park because I really LOVE their pizza but I'd be willing to give Luciano's pizza a shot cuz it's only a block over.
Thank you for this video. Pelham Bay, Morris Park and Pelham Parkway are some of the most beautiful neighborhoods in NYC filled with grreat people. Not gentrified like Brooklyn. Highly recommend everyone take the 6 to Buhre Avenue or the 5 to Pelham Parkway and see for yourself.

Worked in the 45 pct 93-99. Tommy's was the best. Miss it. Had to move to Florida after retirement because the BX went completely down the toilet. But, god bless Tommy's.
After watching this, I'm starting to think the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were wrong about living in the sewers. Clearly, they should've been chilling in the Bronx! 🐢🍕
My favorite is Italian sausage & mozzarella cheese Pizza Plus I was a Pizza Chief Deep Pan/ Flat Pizza's I just helped put the pizza together and someone else took care of Cooking the Pizza in those Ovens (at) Fan
The Bronx is slept on because it's out of the way for most people. I don't go often, but I will say they have great pizza. They probably have the biggest slices in the city. The biggest slice I ever had was in the Bronx somewhere back in the 90's. I don't remember where I was, but the slice was twice the size of a normal slice easily. It was still regular price too. Probably $1.25 at the time.

Great family run pizzeria. Delicious thin crust.
On the hill?
You need to hit Arthur Ave. Full moon and Zero Otto Nove. Morris Park Ave is full of good pizza. Patricia’s, Emilio’s. Definitely need a part 2
The way CC spelled Borough was hysterical.
I was in NY a few weeks back and went to several pizza places, by far the best i tried was vito's in hells kitchen, absolutely incredible
