I will check this, although im not sure this is my problem, the heater works amazing. However i can only get any air or heater thru the defrost only... ive seen another video regarding some vacuum hoses. Checked that replaced those, no change. I have found underneath the radio and in the driver floor area if i push this door there itll work when thats pushed but wont stay.
Interesting thank you for sharing. I think maybe my blend door on my car is also malfunctioning. Maybe this is something I can fix myself and I don’t have to take it to mechanic and get ripped off or just overcharged.
Yup, easy job with just basic tools. The only tool you may need to buy is the radio removal device that can be found almost anywhere! Good luck and let me know how it goes! Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it!
Was there symptoms when it went bad, I have a 98 Taurus se, if I barely move the temp control knob just a little bit there is a continuous clicking sound in the dash area, if I move it back in cold position about a 1/4 way , the click click stops, the 3 blower speeds are fine, any thoughts? Thank you.
Our Taurus was stuck on high heat. AC was charged and working, but no cool air in the summer. This sounds suspect, I’d take the radio out and see if it’s moving and find out the origins of the clicking sound. Thanks for watching and good luck with your repair.
Hello Jake and thanks for watching and asking about the removal pins. I bought them many years ago at Best Buy before the internet, but I'm sure Amazon sells them. It's a simple DIN radio removal tool, so search on that. The brand and model I have is Scosche DT-1 and will work for most brands, as I think I bought these for my 1983 Buick Century when I replaced a component behind the radio. So search "DIN Radio Removal Tool" and you should be set. It's nothing fancy, just 2 U shaped bent rod with arrow notch a the ends. Good luck, and i hope this helps.
@@OpasJDGarage thanks for the reply. I feel kinda dumb asking now. I figured they would be more vehicle specific but apparently the ones you need work on a whole slew of Fords. My kit is on the way. I have an 96 SHO that I’m fixing up and it’s time to fix the AC finally. Hopefully this does the trick. TY!!

Where did you get those pins to remove the radio? Or did you just make some?
