Thank you so much for this video. I have a few questions:
    - What is the channel on the bottom of the pocket doors for? ( i want to install double French pocket doors and my supplier doesn't sell them with a channel)
    - My wall is load bearing, can i just frame the pocket doors on the inside and make the wall ticker?
    - Do you know if there is a similar product offered in the US?

Can you not keep the light switches there anymore? I did not see you move them somewhere else in the video

No I had to move them out of the cavity. There are special products you can purchase if you want one in the cavity, like this product - instagram.com/rangerbuilt?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

    Excellent vid. 👍
I'd LOOOOOVE to switch out our hinged door fitted to our en-suite with a pocket door.
It'd mean removing a non-load bearing masonry wall, which wouldn't phase me, but my wife is put off by the inevitable mess that I'd make DURING the install. 🤐

      Haha, just don't make a mess 😁

@@OurBuild It's not that easy mate, if I'm drilling even a teeny weeny small hole in a piece of would, she'll bump me aside & buzzes around with her dust buster. 😡

Perfect for my flex room that will be our movie/game room. I felt normal doors would've been a waste of space and would limit what we can put on the hallway with the opening radius of the doors. I just thought about doing doors like this right now and came to youtube to see if it was possible now I know theybare called pocket doors. And that soft close I need that now. Thank you lol if you pay a professional to do this work what would be the price range? Wall would have to be 9ft tall and width 11ft. Yeah US based.

Sounds like a good solution. I generally don't like to give price estimates as it could date given the age of the video and when someone watches it. But ATM it could be anywhere around 4-6K depending on site conditions.

@@OurBuild thank you for the reply it gives me a general ball park to have in mind. After my wedding I will start saving up to do this so probably by 2023 I'll have the cash lol i want to do the doors with frosted glass. Do you recommend that for a pocket door? Also if it makes sense I'll probably ask to insulated the wall. So 2 sides would be insulated and 2 will not. The other insulated wall is the one facing outside the house a 9x11 wall

Really like your vid’s mate. I’m about to start a project on the Gold Coast building a massive man shed and will be filming the build for TH-cam. Just wondering if you would like to consider collaborating on it. Let me know if that’s something you would be interested in and I will send you some more details. Cheers.

Cheers mate, glad you find them helpful. Working in the Goldie might be a bit of a hike for me mate, but happy to hear about what you have planned 👍

@@OurBuild yeah thought it might be a bit far away. I’m building a 9x19 x5h shed. 7x9 of it is going to be liveable. I’m trying to do a lot of the fitout myself so will be interesting seems I’m not a tradie.
