Modern Games AKA Pokemon Sword and Shield. Not to mention, all moves take a long time compared to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX where the moves are quick and to the point, although that's probably due to how different the games are (JRPG VS. Roguelike). The only long moves are the big ones like Rayquaza's Hyper Beam which is really cool..
In my opinion if they would make another Game of this Series, they should do it in the same engine as Octopath Traveler so they can continue working with these godly wonderful sprites but can do 3D world modeling just a tiny bit better than in the first two parts.

Well...there was a big trademark filed for Golden Sun on the Switch back in 2018. And it’s been 2 years since Camelot released Mario Tennis Aces. So there is a legit chance for Golden Sun to be their next game release.
I still think Golden Sun had the most baddass invocation from an RPG. And that's a freaking 2002, GBA game here. Many high budget game currently aren't 10% near the badassitude of GS combats.

Astounding amount of summons. a good balance of waifu summons and classic summons. Beautiful pixel arts. Long ass epic animation. This is one of the best RPG i have played.
boreus was the god of the north wind...his breath was death incarnate...i remember having a conversation with a friend about why Poseidon wasn't the level 4 mercury Summon (this was before we knew he was in the game story BTW) and i told him the same thing...Boreus is unholy, read some myth and legend..u will see. all the summons are real myths or gods. i think there is even a mountain named after Boreus somewhere.
It's not impossible, 2 of them (Charon and Iris) are only accesible via having all djinns, which is only possible with a gold password from Golden Sun 1
I remember playing this as a kid. I couldn't get over how cool the effects were on the summons and what not. For a system that was only a little more powerful than a SNES, they really went all out.

The gameplay was meh, and the story writing really lazy, especially with all time they had and on personnal note it's also the game that showed me how to make things uglier with better graphism. Also, as someone who really liked the characters of Lost Age I really hate how the main characters from that game were ignored.
This is my very first game on the very first console I own. It really blew my mind but at the same time, gave me false expectation of what to expect of a GBA game as majority of them after playing Golden Sun just doesn't live up to it.
Many developers did treat GBA as an afterthought, much like they did GBC. Boktai was another game where they went all out and even tried something radical and unprecedented. Games like that made GBA worth owning.
Seeing these summons brings back so many memories of my favorite rpg of all time. I wanted to see the Megaera summon because of all the summons, it is the only one where you see the summon AFTER the attack is complete. Very unique.

Also considering speedrunning this game. soooo much replayability. hard to believe i bought this game almost 20 years ago. my god i don't want to get any older :(
Honestly, Iris should be an instagib no matter what. There's no harder challenge than the boss required to summon it, and I'm not expecting anything to survive being launched into the sun.
To think in the first Golden Sun, Judgement and Thor were the most _epic_ summons and visuals, not to mention the fact that were the most powerful ones.

Between the creative use of the Psynergy system in non-battle gameplay and the music and the various side stories, the first game blew my fucking child mind that it was on gameboy. I remember feeling like I had it made for finding this gem because now I could play what felt like a real game anywhere I wanted, no TV required

Golden Sun sure loves its Greek mythology. Most of the summons are Greek in origin (with a couple Roman variants like Neptune and Ulysses). That said the ones that aren't Greek or Roman come from a fair few cultures, including Egyptian (Ramses), Aztec (Coatlicue), Norse (Thor), and even Canaanite (Moloch). Then there's just the big hecking meteor, lol

Iris not only takes the most effort to get but also the most effort to use...the hardest enemy in the entire GS series is between you and her. in mythology Iris is the Goddess of Rainbows and Passenger of Souls...so essentially one strike from her can take out your entire team 9/10.

This blew my mind when i was a kid That i completely repeat all the summons on the boss by using shift + f1 or f2 because the graphics is outstanding this is a masterpiece hppe it gets a remake same boss but maybe harder difficulty
Some of these spirits' animations are hilarious, like how Cybele just spits seeds and how Boreas is apparently a giant snow cone machine. And why does Neptune's attack animation look like the animation for Kyogre's Water Spout? But i absolutely hated Valukar since it could basically break the 4th wall and use these summons against your party, going so far as putting your Djinn into standby just in case you got wise to its tactic of using your summons. Of course the Dullahan and i think the Doom Dragon had that f***ing BS Djinn Storm that puts ALL of your active party's Djinn into standby(or was it recovery as in after you use them to summon)

Amazing how sprite art, particle animation and the right sound effect can be so effective

I've played this so many times and I clearly remember that I've never skipped any animation when summoning, so much epicness as a kid.
The way Catastrophe’s sounds just take over and glitch the soundtrack is just a testament to his might

Spamming Coatlique against Dullahan and countering with Judgment, Meteors, Thor, and Boreas to get Iris who annilated the final boss for me
one of the best advanced game ever to me it was like Breath of fire meets Final Fantasy

Iris not only takes the most effort to get but also the most effort to use...the hardest enemy in the entire GS series is between you and her. in mythology Iris is the Goddess of Rainbows and Passenger of Souls...so essentially one strike from her can take out your entire team 9/10.

That i completely repeat all the summons on the boss by using shift + f1 or f2 because the graphics is outstanding this is a masterpiece hppe it gets a remake same boss but maybe harder difficulty

Some of these spirits' animations are hilarious, like how Cybele just spits seeds and how Boreas is apparently a giant snow cone machine. And why does Neptune's attack animation look like the animation for Kyogre's Water Spout?
But i absolutely hated Valukar since it could basically break the 4th wall and use these summons against your party, going so far as putting your Djinn into standby just in case you got wise to its tactic of using your summons. Of course the Dullahan and i think the Doom Dragon had that f***ing BS Djinn Storm that puts ALL of your active party's Djinn into standby(or was it recovery as in after you use them to summon)
