You should add beeswax so it don’t melt during the summer time
Do you have to use mango butter when making whipped lip scrub or can i use body butter? I am trying to start a business and want to make whipped lip scrubs, but i do not know what products to get. Thank you this video really helped.
You do t have to use mango butter, you can swap it out if you wish. Here is the recipe summerrain.website/learn-to-make-whipped-green-tea-and-mint-body-butter/.
Good luck :)
@@SummerRainDIY TYSM!
Could I use a regular electric kitchen aid whisk? I don't have a mini.
Absolutely
How do you use it as a lip scrub ? Like you would a regular one ?
Yes, you use it like a regular scrub. At first it seems weird using a lip scrub, but its sooo worth it.
will it melt? id like to try it for my business
I have not had it melt
Where did you get the flavoring?
Nature’s Garden
can I add soap/candle dye to it?
Since it is for your lips, be sure to use a lip safe colorant.
whats the expiry date on whipped lip scrubs? :)
They go by you ingredient that expires first.
How long should i freeze it for a big batch?
Just watch to see when it starts to solidify around the edges.
If making a large order wait 30 minutes
I made these and they melted.
Maybe add more sugar and whip it more
I made coconut body butter today and I whipped coconut oil and then it became really fluffy but after a while it became oil again....can u pls tell if it will happen
I make body butters myself. The coconut oil can be a problem in the summer. Instead, use less of the oil, or substitute for apricot kernel oil, jojoba, etc, I use a hard butter like mango, or shea butter. Arrow root powder is added to make the butter less greasy...especially in summer months. Hope that helps!
Normally after it cools, you need to whip it a few times to get it to stay in butter form. If it’s too warm where you live, that can be an issue. Try adding some brittle butters to harden it up, maybe coconut or kokum butter.
I made this and everything was going good until I put it in my cosmetic jar and it started melting it turned into just oily sugar is that normal ?
No it’s not, did you cool your oils and whip it first?
@@SummerRainDIY yes I put it in the freezer for a few minutes after melting everything together and then whipped it up everything was fine till about an hour later when I went to use it was no longer whipped consistency
That is strange, maybe try to add more sugar and whip it again. Hopefully that helps
Add beeswax it stop or from melting
Hi, is the scrub fluffy, like can i pipe it in a bag and expect the formation to stay in place?
It’s a little thick, but you could probably pipe it
@@SummerRainDIY like a normal scrub thick and dense or is it fluffy?
It’s thick like a normal scrub.
how long does it last?
As long as the shortest lifespan on your ingredients. For example, if you have an oil that is good for 1 year and you bought it 6 months ago, it is good for 6 months.
I keep trying this method and its not working for me😩🥺
Which part? Try to leave in the freezer longer and see if that helps.
@@SummerRainDIY thank you! Im going to try that, it was very much still liquid form so i think that is the problem
