I have a friend in Minnesota who lives in what is probably a 125 year old house, and she found some old bottles when she was digging a hole to plant a tree or something one day. I love these videos!
Corey, You dug up some beauties, those pontiled bottles are sweet. Congrats!!! I can't believe how many bottles you pulled out of the other pit. Thankfully you used a backhoe otherwise it could've been ugly. Gorgeous bottles. Too bad you couldn't show most of them cleaned. Heck of day!!!
Corey - I just found your new channel by accident and was very happy to see you were doing what you do best. I immediately unsubscribed from your old channel. Love your privy digs - no one does it better!
A good idea to use bottle boxes to keep them from getting broken as they are valuable and for the hole that you have dug out when you fill it in again you could mark it up with a round marker then you could dig another hole beside it until you have searched all the aria.😃👍
Glad I picked up a coupla Queen City (Cinci) blobs from that pit. Awesome to be able to see exactly where they came from. They need to put this footage in the Smithsonian alongside the other national treasures🤣💯👍🍻
Holy shit Corey! That was the mother load of bottles & crocks etc. That clear op ribbed bottle with the flared lip, I have one like it. Mine has a different lip but is an op and is ribbed the same. Y'all have been pulling some crazy pieces.
I got that same yellow handle shovel. Bought mine at harbor freight I use it to dig my plugs metal detecting cuz I can’t afford a lesche type shovel/ spade
If you where lucky to find a 1850s tip in the uk it would have no full bottles in it, it’s crazy how yours are all full, love the pontilled stuff, great video.
Hi Corey good to see you back. Let me know if you have a store. Would want to be a regular customer. I won't be dealing with the other guy. I am glad you are on your own with your new team. Good luck with court !
Congrats on the new channel Corey. Just wondering if you've ever bailed out an old rock lined well? I've got a mid 1800's 12 footer - beautiful round rock lined but water to the top.
I have never heard of anyone bailing out a well. One thing I’ve noticed here is that they lined them with what we call potato’s or big river stone. These stones are very dangerous when used for lining because they aren’t flat. When wet they can be even more unstable. I wouldn’t mess with it man
Yes its a well - looks the same as the one on our old homestead - about 12' deep and holds 500 gallons. When the Acadian French were deported in 1755 some of them hid tools and valuables in their wells thinking they might be back years later. Many did return but their land was now owned by New England Planters. I might drop a magnet down it first.@@thetimetravelers3112
Absolutely have heard of it happening. It’s rare but does happen when people get sloppy. We have been in so many that we are pretty schooled on when to abandon hole
@@thetimetravelers3112 Roll the dice enough and you will roll snake eyes eventually. A couple pieces of ply wood and some 2x4s probably only cost $200 but maybe your life isn’t worth that much? It will only happen once. Old structures never fail, right?
Very nice. Two epic digs in one video. I used to do a lot of bucket riding when I dug in the city. You might try stepping it in if you have the room and a big enough back hoe. Also helps putting a plate over the bucket teeth .
Yea it was pretty convenient doing it that way. We talked about stepping it but we didn’t want to rip the yard up too bad. Stepping it would have been awesome tho
We have been doing it for almost 10 years. I know people that have done it for 40 and have never gotten anything. The diseases that once were are long gone
@@williambrandondavis6897 believe me if there's anyone on top of safety it's cory he's dug a long time there places we won't-can't probe due to the possibility of gas lines we are always extremely careful and all wanna make sure every one makes it home! We're not complacent I wanted to rope into a 35ft hand dug well and Cory talked me out of It and wouldn't let me
No offense here but y'all need to learn trench safety. No way a man should be in that hole without shoring. I was in Construction for 42 years and that's just not smart.
This hole has a stone wall around it. We made sure it was good to go. In my 8 years of outhouse digging I can put money on I’ve been in 10 times as many holes as you in your over 40 years of construction. We are very professional. Part of the hobby is risk sometimes and that’s what makes it fun. No offense taken man
Hello from Russia. cool finds. curious how the bottles got to such a depth? we mainly value vodka and beer bottles. Or from under other alcohol such as wine or cognac
So back in the 1800s here they used the outhouse as a trash can. Just the same as we set out trash to be taken they threw it in the crapper. It would have been cleaned out here and there. You want to get in ones like these that still have tons of bottles and haven’t really been cleaned
Digging seems a little more exciting when every bottle isn't viewed as a paycheck. Great dig boys
It’s all about the history and the friendships you make along the way. Some awesome guys out there in the bottle world!
Never met anyone doing it for money.
Finding beautiful bottles and not caring about what they will sell for.... priceless. 💪😎
Awesome finds...congratulations on some epic finds, thanks for sharing your adventure 😀
Thanks brother! Many more to come
Great video
Thanks Jim!!
The Wheeling VA before WVA is really something and has to be rare
Very hard to find the Wheeling Va stuff. Those flasks are very very nice bottles
Wow what an awesome dig Corey, just can't beat the early stuff & great U had the Bob Cat to help get down to that level.
Great stuff, love it.
Hey Corey, What a dig you had, wow!! Thanks a bunch for sharing it with me.
Thanks man! Will keep them coming
Super cool video 👍👍.
Wonderful finds--love the 'crudeness' of the pontils. They're such beautiful bottles. Thank you for sharing your searches.
Yes they are very crude bottles! Thanks Dale!

Look like the young guy has some history in MMA.
Wrestled most of my young life and didn’t have the passion for it in high school with other sports going on too. One of my big regrets lol

Thanks so much deb! We have been doing very well as of late! Sometimes all we need is a little change
Hey guys! What a dig! I’ve just stumbled on your vids and loving them. Happy digging all the way from Aus 🇦🇺
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoy!!
I haven't dug a privy in many years(back problems and old) but always wished I had a small Bobcat to help open the hole! Great dig guys!
Yea the bobcat came in handy. Thanks man!
Great Video as always!
Wow!! What a pit Corey! Congrats to you and the boys! Exciting video!!!!! Hope to see more of those early ones! 👍👍👍
Thanks man! Will be putting great footage out every week!

Thanks Gary!
Awsome find had a friend the bottle king who dug out privys old porta potties alot of marbles and bottles. Some times coins.
Thanks man! It’s the best hobby on the planet

Thanks man! I’m so glad to have you on the new channel. Many many more great videos to come brother
wow that first flask!!
Awesome vidio Corey ! I love the historical flasks ! I don't have that one. I just found your U tube.
I’m glad you found me on here. They are awesome bottles for sure!
Great video bud...that's what it's all about!
Thanks man! That is what it’s all about!
That has to be the most seriously intense bottle dig I have ever seen! You saved some treasures for sure. Cleanup must have been fun!
Thank you! It was a pain cleaning them. I’m always afraid of breaking the really old stuff
@@thetimetravelers3112 Along with the bottles, I was also thinking about cleaning up you two!
I love the early bottles - being in the uk we get some real old ones !! Beautiful bottles
Yes so do I! Anything pre 1880 gets me going! Y’all do have some very old stuff over there!
Wooow, Wheeling , VA... That definitely dates to before the War Between the States
Yes 1850s. Very rare bottles!
good stuff!
That's a awesome dig, well done fellas.
Thanks Sean!!

Yes anytime you are digging rare stuff it should be going in a box so they don’t get broken. Thanks brother
I knew that voice sounded familiar!! Now I know where the f Cory went!!! Killin it bro!!! Awesome awesome digs so far. Keep it up bud!!
I’m still out digging brother! Currently probing some at a 1835 house
Wow,what a great dig for you guys! It looks like you guys were having a lot of fun! Thanks Bryan Kitchen Houston Texas
Thanks Brian! We did have a blast
Glad I picked up a coupla Queen City (Cinci) blobs from that pit. Awesome to be able to see exactly where they came from. They need to put this footage in the Smithsonian alongside the other national treasures🤣💯👍🍻
Gotta love the Ohio bottles
Absolutely killer stuff there.
Thanks Rich!

Thanks so much Liz!! We have been getting it pretty hard lately! I have so many good videos yet to post
Great finds, little messy but very old bottles. Keep them coming Time Travelers.
Very cool finds, hope to do that at an old abandoned sight here in the California desert.
Thanks man! Do some door knocking man. All they can say is no
Congratulations...your persistence and hard work is paying big dividends!!! 😉
Appropriate it David!!
I got that same yellow handle shovel. Bought mine at harbor freight I use it to dig my plugs metal detecting cuz I can’t afford a lesche type shovel/ spade
It’s a nice shovel for sure! Think we have buried it 100 times😂
Hope you get. That green flask professionally restored!
You should get yourself a sturdy digging stick so you don't have to use the shovel to do the fine excavating.
We have had a good many of them and actually use deer antlers sometimes. Always seem to bury them lol
If you where lucky to find a 1850s tip in the uk it would have no full bottles in it, it’s crazy how yours are all full, love the pontilled stuff, great video.
These are coming out of old shit houses. It’s very hard to find a 1850s dump
Are these old bottles worth something to collectors?
Oh absolutely! One bottle can be worth more than a house. You just have to find the right one
Hi Corey good to see you back. Let me know if you have a store. Would want to be a regular customer. I won't be dealing with the other guy. I am glad you are on your own with your new team. Good luck with court !
I’m starting auctions every Friday night at 7pm live here on TH-cam. Thanks Mike!
Just subscribed missed you on crick diggers
Surprised you guys didn’t find Jimmy Hoffa down there!
Right! You never do know😂

Are you sure it’s a well? 12 foot isn’t that deep. The ones here are normally 30 plus. If it has flat stone I’d at least try it. You never know

Fantastic day Corey I was wondering where you went to
I’m still digging on. Thanks man!!
I keep seeing a coffin flask meeting to his left leg
I wish it didn’t have 6 foot of never ending water in it. We definitely didn’t get em all
Crazy old that was 😎
Yes it was super old! Gotta love the older holes
Great videos guys!, how do you guys go about getting permissions if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks man! Just be confident in what your saying. All they can say is no

i think osha wouldn't approve this video.
I enjoyed your video what is the age of the bottles you're finding keep up the good work and keep on digging 👍👍👍👍🙂🗝️
They are anywhere from 1850s to 1880s. Thank you very much! Glad you enjoy!
Very nice age on those bottles congratulations 👍👍👍🙂🗝️
How did you pick this spot? Why are there so many bottles there?
It’s the old outhouse. They didn’t have trash service back then so a lot of the trash ended up in the crapper
I hope that machine comes free if not you could’ve cleaned up at a bottle show
The fuel wasn’t free but yea it’s my buddies equipment

Oh wow beautiful old bottles you must be scared clean up if breaking them?!?
Some of the early ones can be very fragile but they normally clean with no damage done
Can you still get a disease from digging in those antique privys?
We have been doing it for almost 10 years. I know people that have done it for 40 and have never gotten anything. The diseases that once were are long gone
@@thetimetravelers3112 that's good I was just wondering

How are you guys finding the exact location of all these privies,?
Do the home owners tell you?
Stated your own show?

Do you sell of any of your old bottles?
Yes we have an auction at least once a week. With holidays it’s been hit or miss but normally Friday at 7pm eastern
This is the most unsafe dig possible. Put some siding up before you get a cave in.
It’s a stone lined pit. You just can’t see it. It wasn’t going anywhere

Show bottles?? Where watching..where waiting..
super unsafe with that huge wall of material //sloughing off to the right//YIKES.....
but killer shit in the both holes....totally jealous//well done
It’s is dangerous but the stone wall was pretty strong. It makes it an adrenaline rush! Thanks man!!
You guys need waders.
H & C Overdiek mineral water. In business in my hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio from 1853-1867.
I can’t find the J.Stuck Company anywhere
Yes the stuck may be a good one. The fellow we dig with that’s been digging for years said he’s never seen one
Stay in that neighborhood… Permission
Wait what Corey your no longer crick diggers ? Anyway super cool bottles (Cincinnati,Ohio) where I’m from ❤ the video
Nope, I got screwed over but that’s okay
