    Good video but more 70s and 80s. Pony blob squats are mainly from the 80s or even 90.Stilla a good hole and good digging footage.

    Corey Wellings! Great channel. I really love the voice-over histories. They really add something different from the other bottle-digger channels. Keep up the good work. Are you selling any of your finds?

    Yeah, you finally got a two prong! I'm telling you, once you get good with that thing it's like a surgical instrument, that and a shovel is about all you need!! You might make yourself a long handled two prong as well, just a little longer than your shovel for those deep skinny test holes and tunnels. Your editing is getting better and better! Good luck man!! 👍

    Great job, guys! Nice scores for sure. New sub here that mostly metal detects. I noticed at one of my old Civil War era homesites in a woods there's a 5 foot diameter divot in the ground right beside the homesite foundation. I'm planning on digging in there this winter assuming it is a privy?

    • @thetimetravelers3112
      @thetimetravelers3112  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks man, I’m glad you enjoy! We do some detecting as well just haven’t uploaded any vids yet. It could be a privy or even a trash pit. Could also be a well so be careful with it

    That Wheeling WV medicine is90s as well as the Maryland med. 1890s maybe 1888 at the earliest. Do your research.

    • @thetimetravelers3112
      @thetimetravelers3112  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have dug fluted medicine bottles in 60s pits. I think you need a closer look. Also I know the dates of the local druggist. Also Queen City Bottling House was circa 1871-1879. Thanks for your help tho

    Do you metal detect much in bottle dumps? Thrown away clothes contain coins and buttons

    • @thetimetravelers3112
      @thetimetravelers3112  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No not very often. They normally have so much metal in the dump that it’s impossible to pick out signals

    • @thetimetravelers3112

    Cory what did they make the moulds out of? Was it clay or maybe lined wood. Iam just trying to figure out how they sculpted the designs and made the scripts?

    • @thetimetravelers3112
      @thetimetravelers3112  ปีที่แล้ว

      These ones were blown into a metal mold. They used a few different metals. Some are blown into wooden but normally earlier bottles. Pre 1820 I think they were using clay

    • @mikelattimer7909
      @mikelattimer7909 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow I would have never guessed they used metal. That’s like tool and die work. How do you make beautiful script like that with 1800s tools and technology?
