Barbara Fritchie was a Union supporter during the Civil War. She became famous as the heroine of a poem by Whittier, defending the U.S. flag.
Thank you! Compliments of you and watching your channel, yesterday while thrifting I found 2 Fenton hand painted custard glass bears. They are in perfect condition with their original stickers. Watching your channel is the best antique vintage class!
The rocking chair was a Vermont Tubbs Oak Snowshoe Rocking Chair with Rawhide Lacing. I love it and would have scooped it up in a heartbeat!
OMG!!!!!!!
I had that gorilla bank that was sitting on the shelf next to Barney. I am 67 years old and I had that bank when I was 12. They are practically antiques. So very funny to see it!!!
I looked up the snow shoe rocking chair, and they go for over 1000 dollars! You should go back for it!!
The Bunny with a butterfly on its nose is Pier 1 (I think). A few months ago, I found one at my Goodwill as well. It went home with me too!! 🐰🦋
Those two teapots that you found are actually called somayaki. They originated in Japan around 1830. When we lived in Japan, we would buy pieces until we had a whole set.
IDK if you’ll ever see this but I have to say that aside from your incredible gift and instincts, you are so great at bringing resellers together I was just watching Kate with the Berner bros and it’s just really cool how generous and friendly you are👍
That’s a snow shoe rocking chair. I have one I bought in 1976. I probably paid about $65 for it. I bought it from L L BEAN. Still looks brand new.
@@janhaley1212 wow!
I saw one at an Antique store in NC 2 days ago for about $250, it was pretty cool.
This one at the Goodwill was coming unbound (unwoven?) a little bit where the seat meets the back area in the middle, but it could probably be repaired. The caning did look very pristine in color.
I’m all about the Flowery Llama!!!
Wow, what an awesome thrift trip! The store was overflowing with interesting vintage treasures.
That yellow double picture frame would be perfect for kids artwork.
Kia Ora Jocelyn, that Llama painting was everything. I loved that sculpted Victorian style hand note holder (repo or not) it was different. I like 'different' 😁
Oh my goodness. I have the matchy matchy to the glass bunny with the butterfly! I hope I can catch you live when you sell it.
7:40 I just dropped & broke my Watt pottery apple bowl today :(. I was so upset with myself. It had belonged to my grandma. She used it to make biscuits & silly me was clumsy & dropped it. I use it all of the time, so I will definitely be looking to buy another one. It would have been so cool if the ones you found were in good condition & you got them. 😊
So much fun shopping at goodwill with you ! I love the long video
Hi sweetie ❤❤. Couldn't people buy covers before using or after chipping the spout to the teapot?? Would save them from the land fill.😊❤❤❤your videos
Thanks for the Jordan Imports clue! I've picked up several similar pieces over the years but have never been able to source them. Now I know!
I would of bought the penny just as a joke for Andrew
I would have too.
The 2 teapots are Soma Ware by Somayaki. I’ve got a few of the cups right now.
The yellow ware mixing bowl set for $3.99 sure looks like the Watt apple pattern. I still have my Rockingham and Bennington brown glazed earthenware collection. Funny how the times change. Oh well, I enjoy them. Just never know when a spittoon or chamberpot might come in handy. LOL.
I love the elephant! SO cute!
Heizy glass often turns purple as it ages
When you picked up the ladybug with robots there was another of the purplish shot glasses sitting there!!!
I just came here to say that!
The Ota giri is somayaki
That chair looked really nice and that adorable Llama painting, how sweet !!😊😊
When you said Barney, I was confused, couldn’t see the purple dinosaur!😂😂😂😂
Same 😂😂
Barney Rubble from the Flintstones!
Omg love it lol😂
Same here! 😂
Same😂
@554 I have that set ..it's about 50 years old from my mom and dad❤❤❤❤
There was entire set of that Otagiri in an adorable little shop in Murphys, CA. I almost bought it!
These Goodwill shops are my favorite!!!
The Christmas Reindeer Napkin holder was Vintage and worth $28 to $35
What great finds. The tea pots were amazing too bad they had some chips. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
Lots of cute stuff! I actually saw you on a few on the Antique Nomads (George) videos where you went thrifting with him - wanted to check out yours! I like the way you have posted what they can be sold for.
REALLY love the big glass bowl at 7:15. Looks very Scandinavian. Good find, Jocelyn. I also like the windchime idea and the funny daschund saying. Shame about the pottery piece with the hole. I might've bought it for myself (not for resale) and just used the back hole as drainage when watering a plant.
My mom has that exact elephant cookie jar. It was wedding gift in the early 70s
You should have picked up the Wyat bowls. Very valuable even with chips.
Wish my Goodwills had the same sort of selections as yours! I find some things, but mostly ours have clothes. Like your videos!
What you just passed the William and Kate engagement mug ☕️ I need one for my mug collection love the video
Should of picked up the Barney bank..worth $50-$75. 😮
It’s the Flinstone Barney
He's the OG Barney! 😁
O jostling you should have brought the doggie plate ,people would have brought it Ann ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧
The lama looks Hobby Lobby, I paint and craft, love to walk through there and get ideas😊
Gemini here too! 🥳🇨🇦🎉
You found Murano as soon as you walked in . Then later said no Murano today .
Bunny wasn't there....
Omg. The robot ladybug, The bird sign, the ghost band. I was like.. nooooooooooo 😜
I'm on the hunt for restaurant signs for my lunch bar
I have cups to go with those Otagiri teapots. 😁
Me too
I love Dachshunds my 1 babies are such good babies
That was a great shopping trip.
The penny doesn't say New York. It just says Souvenir Penny. It's sold at the Barbara Fritchie House in Frederick Maryland. Andrew probably knows the tale of Barbara Fritchie. There is a poem by Whittier about her. Supposedly she waved a Union flag from her window at approaching confederate troups. When they threatened her she said go ahead and shoot me but don't harm this flag. Or words to that effect. The general was so impressed by her courage he forbade his troops to harm her.
The rocking chair was cool.. was it sturdy? would be great in a cabin
I bought one for myself and a friend. It was in her house for several years until their drunk friend plopped down in it and it broke. Mine is still like new.
I love that elephant ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks
Love your shirt so good
Hey there Jocelyn ❤😊
Love your videos my friend!! You are a sweet person!! Love to see what you find!! Love you and your channel!! God bless you and your family!! Much love my friend!! 🥰🥰🦋🦋🌹🌹💙💙❤️❤️🙏🙏💝💝💖💖💜💜🌺🌺😊😊😇😇
The ghost band I believe is Brinn's, not Homco
I just watched one of your 5 year old videos. I laughed and laughed. You were so silly
I wonder if it would have been worth it to grab those Otagiri teapots at $4.99 just for the wicker handles. Since they are often damaged or missing, seems like it would be nice to have a couple on hand!
I'll take that first marono piece! and , yes I can't spell!
I have a feeling people like to use the otagiri cups as artistic esspresso cups, so they ditch the teapots 🤷♀️
Reg. the dachshund: its actually not German, its English. The German word for dachshund is "Dackel"🙂
I didn’t know that! Thanks!
Not true. "Dachshund" is definitely also German, "Dackel" is just much more common.
@@josephinebaker5810 Thanks for the clarification!
Dachshund is German for "badger hound" which is what they were breed to hunt
I think you should forgive the chippy tea pots and take them with you!
I was tilling my garden this spring and found an actual Indian head Penny I think 1895 , poor condition.
The bunny is from Pier 1
Nice items!
Nice shirt❤❤
Sunday 23rd...
You have several glassybaby votives. Plus I thought you HAD found one “in the wild”? What am I missing?
This Barney looks like Fred to me😊
You missed second shot glass at 8:27
How did you leave the elves?!
I would have grabbed them
They r on my bucket list

My mom had a collection of cookie jars and I just saw one of them that she had I tried putting them on OfferUp for sale and I didn't price them all that high $10.20 she had some really old ones and people kept nickel and diming me to death I packed them all up and I took him to the Goodwill and I said the hell with it.. we're talking 50 or 60 of these stupid things and then she had a library oh my God 5000 books at least 10% of them were first editions old very well kept she loved English History like Castle Ireland travel you name it I wasn't going to deal with that they all went to the Goodwill I must have packed my car a hundred times you know people are assholes so I'd rather just deal with giving them up then to deal with people that are stupid
Llama Love
Hi, why do some people say, "I'm not mad at that?" 😊
It’s just a phrase….meaning it’s ok
Yay!!!
That Native American was awesome, did you not see it there?
How do you crack a teapot spout 🤔……twice….
That was really weird, you saying my maiden name on the Indian head penny. Barbara Ricci.
The robot ladybug may have been a piece by Tim See and and sell for hundreds of dollars. It’s a continuing story line with the robot. He works out of up state NY.
My favorite find with you is the elephant bank
💗
Not everyone likes cats. I'm a dog lover❤😊
❤
Have you ever found a glassy baby
You might have to go out to the west coast to find a Glassy Baby
I found one a few weeks ago at goodwill in bluffton South Carolina 59 cents- I thought “crazy lamp lady would love to see this”
Hello from Mexico 👋
I think the "rawhide rocking chair" is supposed to appear as if it's made out of vintage snowshoes.....
🤗🇨🇦👍
The pouty kid and the irritated dad 😂
❤❤❤first!
🎉🎉🎉
Ok, so I definitely need a nanna nap because the music today annoyed the hell out of me. 😴 💤
Turn volume off and put closed captions on.
@@erinnswan7063 thank you. I had a snooze and now feel excellent.
Ahhh...the obligatory complaint about something that Ms Jocelyn can do nothing about... 🙂
@@GuyWithTheDogs get over yourself Guy! There was no complaint about the ‘Lady’. It was a tongue in cheek statement about myself and just a giggle.
@@julleemossop3654oh you are not allowed to say anything here without the obsessive fan girls jumping down your throat. It's ridiculous.
Rebecca at the well, has to do with isaac , sent by abraham's wife to go find his future wife. The woman at the well with jesus was just a sameritin.
:)
Do you have trouble selling them you're pretties you love them so much in the store and you think they're so cute or whatever you say it. I was wondering if they're hard to let go?
That's my sister Barbara Fucci
You mentioned glassy baby in this video and I’ve heard you mention it before I found one for $.59 at a Goodwill in Bluffton South Carolina. I sent you a little video of that on Instagram as soon as I found it I immediately thought of you.
