Testing a heat detector to ensure the elevator goes into fire service/recall. The firefighter's hat is the indicator that is lit up inside the elevator above all of the buttons.
You're not supposed to test it with a lighter. Any accident with it like dropping it can set the whole building on fire as you can burn yourself and go to the hospital and if someone catches you lighting the building on fire with it you'll go to jail as they'll accuse you for committing arson
@@relevanteaglealarms109 After we checked all of the speaker/strobes, we disabled them so we could test all of the pull stations and detectors without annoying occupants.

Smoke detectors are still being used. This elevator was outdoors at a condo.

There were speaker/strobes, but they were bypassed after we tested the A/V's.

@@relevanteaglealarms109 Yes, the NACs for the strobes are disabled. Also, the amplifier for the speakers is disabled as well.
