0:17 The call buttons are actually the keys in order to ride the Elevator, But you used the Fire Service Key to operate it, Therefore its like pressing the Call Buttons to ride the Elevator.
Brand/Company: OTIS Buttons: Series 1 Door type: single slide sliding right ▶️ with rear door single slide sliding left ◀️ Number of elevators: 1 Number of floors: 6 (B, G, C, 1, 2R, 2)
I don't think anything like that exists on any lift in Ireland. Mainly it's floors, alarm and a phone. That's very cleverly designed Would that go into that mode automatically if the fire alarm went off or would the fire brigade have to do it manually
Hi, if I wanted to do this on some elevators somewhere, who exactly what I need permission from? The person at the front desk, the fire department? I don’t know, but I would like to try it one day.
I love that Otis elevator
Me too
It’s nostalgic for some reason
Otis is my favorite elevator brand
Great presentation and well explained. Our fire service in Asia and Europe works differently than the one in North America.
Nice demonstration, and this elevator seems to run very healthy as well
nice that it's so easy.
Yes it does
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nice and you asked premission for it!
I’ve wanted to do a demo like this for a while but never really had a good opportunity

Very nice! This is something I would like to be able to do some day.
Make sure if you do that you’ve received the proper permission
@@stlelevators Of course, it would be illegal otherwise.
It’s at that high school Jason

Obvious claims will get you in trouble.
@@DanfossDrivesAmericawhat for 😊
@@matthewlindstrom8728 Because it belongs in a description.
Nice demo!
Thanks!
You are a nice man Jason
Gonna have to do a video like this at some point. I know some people that might be able to help with that
Fire service is similar to independent service.
A little bit
I find it interesting how the door safety sensors disable if this is on since they dont know the difference between flames/smoke and a human being

It is supposed to automatically activate
@@stlelevators I see
And I see it goes straight to the ground floor so it'll be handy if someone's in there and the alarm goes off
Jason I have seen Andrew do the same thing
Yep
Awesome.❤🎉.

It really depends on where the elevator is and who you ask.
@@stlelevators OK, thanks for replying. I think I’ll just wait until I visit the museum haha.
Nice!
yo jason very good also i would be careful if i do this demo one day
???
If you get the proper permission to do it then you can
alarm stil works on fire service!
It should
This is the 1997 Otis Series 1 at St. Charles High School.
Yep
Really? From 1997? Interesting! What year are 100% of OTIS Series 1's normally installed?
Plot twist: Jason doesn't have the Otis call keys, so he used UTF to access the elevator under the guise of "having permission"
😉🙃
I literally posted an elevator video where I rode it normally
It's a joke
I’m 11 tomorrow 🎂
Nice
