My father lived in Chicago in the 1970s. He told me that on the coldest years, the public busses were never turned off. Ran 24x7 even when parked in the lot. Because that was the only way to be sure they'd run again the next day :)
New batteries and a gear reduction starter. Add some fuel treatment, make sure the glow plugs work or the heater grid. The engine will start up easier.
Do you guys do this just to torture your engines or just for utube? There is this NEW invention called a block heater I would suggest maybe just give it a look T!
As a repairer of starter motors, I approve of this video...
As well as proving that a full size pickup truck with any diesel engine should NEVER HAVE REMOTE START!
Man that poor 6.2. The middle of summer must have been an awful hard start for it.
I’m happy that they proved that any full size pickup truck with any kind of a diesel engine should NEVER HAVE REMOTE START!
So many amazing coldstarts in one place😎🤠🚙💨
Now diesel trucks are strange creatures they really don't like the winter/cold but once they are warmed up they are alive forever

@@littlesquirtthefireengine5478 when a diesel engine gets low consistent rpm they can become pretty damn effective
I'm just so glad someone else has to start their diesels in hellish cold like I have to. peace.
Man, I just love the sound of the starters when they are cranking over! I’d enjoy that!
SMOKE EM IF YOU GOT EM !
Crazy to see the difference between these and my 3.0. Even down to -5f it started 2nd crank!
Wow! that truck sure can shoot out smoke dough nuts 0:00
Whoever got the heat on at 8:15 is gonna need an air freshener after that. 🤣
All stores sell Air Fresheners to clip to the truck’s air conditioning vents!
Good, Lord. Block heaters people. Block heaters.
And NO REMOTE START!
6:02 love the shaking 19:31 it sounds like the truck I have

@@americanmusclemaniac9565 my best 1 is called who needs glow plugs.
Just love that video 👌
"Why don't you plug it in"? As if everyone has access to an outlet everywhere they go in their trucks
Nice 👍
8:40 looks bent and buy some fkn glowplugs 😛
Lol all the dry heavy cylinder wear during start up with these diesels

no we do it because the starter sound and youtube. There no fun in a vehicle that starts right up
Exactly!!
Pump it while you crank it and other times don’t pump it at all when you crank it
Bro thats a dog!
my God, 8.50 minute, what's wrong with that thing?
Very angry
Very angry at what?
Why would anyone want a truck that is so hard to start? Get a gas engine.
Cause cold starts are fun that’s why
