- Sitting at the corner of an inner street in a peaceful suburban neighbourhood in Bengaluru, this structure gracefully reveals itself gently through lush green plants. A home that invites greenery in, Mukund’s Residence is an ode to the client’s love for nature, and the family’s desire to stay connected with natural elements without compromising on their privacy.
Within a simple grid layout, a water courtyard centrally cuts through the formal and informal living rooms, keeping the house cool and serene as well create an inside-outside connection. Natural light penetrates the home through a combination of cut-outs, shafts, windows and skylights.
The upper floors have large terraces enabling expansive views of the surrounding landscapes and the nearby BBMP Garden from the bedrooms, bringing in more natural light. This determines the home’s form.

These people didn't born as rich, they became rich because did good in what they do.
India is full of rich people. Mr. Mukund seems a simple self made man. But he has the eye. He built for this architect as a contractor and decided he wanted them to make him his own house. Thats very cool. many flashy fashionable people don't have this design sense.

hats off to the architect and his team......this house is a visual drama flowing from one frame to another, just amazing.
Just love that there are solarpanels and you have a top garden. The house looks very spacious with the white walls, the light timber and greenery around. Everything is very well thought through, and the daughters bedroom with the second floor is gorgeous. The project reminds me of a minimalistic Scandinavian style.

I love the way the house feels open and connected to nature. The architects did a great job of designing a cool, comfortable house that is economical to run and also beautiful. One especially smart move I hadn't seen before--the use of a mezzanine in the bedrooms, which allows for hot air in summer to rise and keep the sleeping areas cool.
Amazing Designing and well planned ,especially keeping in mind the seasons and planning rooms accordingly, it shows great details. The Outer copper jali and the door lock extremely well planned out. I loved the overall detailing to bringing more green in the house , i fell this is the future of designing as more and more people living in cities but want to feel close to nature. This is a perfect example.

I love the idea and that word "minimalistic" ❤ the architecture understanding the customer's requirement understanding what they like, to be honest this is the best video I've ever seen in buildofy channel. I know there are many video of beautiful home videos but i felt this is beautiful one and i gave my heart how the sunlight fall into house and this home doesn't look even a small disturbing it is all quiet with minimalistic furniture and i love the daughter's bedroom mainly study room very calm, peace feeling and also the main door was really aesthetic and great innovation when u look at the colour also i think it is not brown for sure brown and ornge mix i think feels really aesthetic. This house has full of positive vibes. The Nataraja swamy statue in living room ❤. I love the stairs and also plants took next levels to this house

If you have money, you can build jingle in urban home. I liked the water body perceptive. Look at massive number of ACs used, maybe 10 TR Total cooling load.

With so much glass... how is it maintaing the privacy of the occupants?
It's private because you can't see inside, all outer walls are high, so the glass on the inside is still private.

Houses cannot be a riddle to solve. The connection between the living members is sparse, so what purpose it resolves. Maybe if you have unlimited money and give the architect an undisclosed sum, they can create this zig-zag puzzle.

Rough estimate 12 to 15+ crores for total project. Site dimension must be 50 x 80 = 4000 sft. Land price min 25000 per sft x 4000 sft= 10 crores.
South facing glass creates lot of heat and uncomfortable bright sunlight throughout the day irrespective of the shaft wind flow. Not to forget the maintenance hassle of cleaning glass regularly even if you are loaded. He said there are no fans or AC in the house, but all of the rooms have air con. The house looks beautiful only in small fragments but I do not see the luxury and tranquility for a person living in that house for a substantial period of time.
