My head canon is the fugitive dr is between the 2nd and 3rd drs it makes sense that the time Lords would exploit the Dr when he/she is serving a sentence. Had they ever confirmed that I could love her dr without hating the timeless child as it would be separate. It's also a shame she didn't get more appearances or specials on tv
I listened to it. Thought it was really good, but as a coda for Once and Future it didn't really live up to that. Like I was expecting it to be a little more connected to that story, but the thing that bothered me the most was that they didn't continue, erm, a certain storyline with Missy and another version of that character which they set up and never finished in the series. I thought The Final Act would've used *that* character in some way, maybe multiple versions of them, maybe introduce a version we haven't heard from yet but know is doing audios for Big Finish soon. Trying to be as spoiler free as possible is hard
I find it interesting they try to explain Fugitive Doctor messy backstory by hinting she probably an unbound Doctor from another universe like David Wanner's Doctor
tbh I’d prefer it if she was from an alternate universe, it wouldn’t make her any less important or any less ‘The Doctor’. The two most popular placements for her, being before 1 or in between 2 and 3, just feel off to me u know. Since she doesn’t recognise the sonic screwdriver like the first doctor, maybe she could be an alternate second doctor who branched off from our first doctor
That was just an idea from Bernice part, since in her knowledge the Fugitive Doctor shouldn't be in the same timeline of her Doctors. If I were in you, I wouldn't take that beat as a serious implication of her being an Unbound Doctor.
@@UomodAltriTempi I mean it's the best and so far only explanation for Fugitive"s messy backstory plus if Donna's explanation for why 14 had an old face was ok then this is just as good probably even better.
@@CaJoel I mean she really doesn't fit anymore on the main Doctor timeline so an other universe/timeline is the only option. She sort of barely counts as a Doctor aleast a main one anyway (just as much as the other timeless ones count) so being from another universe doesn't change much
@@vortexalliance9938 That's one of the things that I've always hated about our fandom: the level of mental gymnastics one could reach in order to not take seriously what is actually implied on screen. She's evidently a pre-Hartnell incarnation, as stated in the series. That's the only actual explanation in place.
I think 15 will regenrate into the first Timeless child, who has their memories wiped, meaning Fugitive unable to remember any past face 1-15 as she is the last timeless child who is saved by the Tardis as 13 fell to earth, in turn 13 found the Tardis after 13 at ghost monument Leading 13 to flux etc.
I love how they paired two doctors together who aren’t part of the ‘mainline’ doctors, I can’t think of any other multi-doctor stories which do that
Cant wait for more content from this channel!
"Sarcasm, sarcasm. Won't you shut up?"
Sounds like the Fugitive Doctor is getting as much range as on TV. Joy.
To be perfectly fair, incarnations do often become caricatures of themselves during multi-doctor stories
@@tTaseric They bring out the worst in themselves
I love how this effectively works as a Pilot for the Fugitive Doctor series

The scale of these Big Finish audios never fails to surprise me

The Timeless Child is locked in the pocket watch, which the 13th Doctor asked the TARDIS to hide so that they may never find it.
