The good thing about living in big cities is you can find people who speak English but on the other hand it's a lot more dangerous than living in small cities. I hope you have an incredible experience here in Brazil :)

Man, it's hard to find Brazilians who can communicate in English. Being from Brazil myself, I can tell you that even though most of my fellow Brazilians can hardly speak English, they will try their best to help you find the places you want to see. Even though most are friendly and helpful, there are the bad ones. Please be careful when you ask around for help. Those who can't understand or speak English could use ChatGpt to help them communicate with you. I'm so glad the guy on the bus was able to help you. Que legal que vocês estão amando o Brasil. Cool bro, but I’ve also met a lot of locals in São Paulo who speak some English, maybe not perfect but communication and good to get around. I’ll say the traffic situation isn’t bad compared to other countries, streets well organized and the beauty of the small streets and cute little cars is astounding.
@@absiyehassan36 Yes, and to make things even worse, our education system doesn't help either. English at public schools is far behind compared to private ones. Yesterday night I got an Uber to get home and during my chat with the driver along the way, he told me he had spent some time living in the States. So, we decided to switch our chat to English. He can also speak Spanish. So, the ride was all in English. Only 2% of the folks can speak English fluently. I hope this changes because those who can't speak or understand are missing out on many job opportunities. Not to mention a higher level of education. That's really sad.

Disseram-me que o inglês não é ensinado nas escolas e as pessoas têm de aprender por conta própria, razão pela qual a maioria dos locais não fala inglês.
