Sadly, due to the price increase, some of these are quite expensive now. I hope they become affordable again because I think it would be lovely if more people could have them 💚
So true, about never saying you hate a type of plant. All my life I've disliked Begonias and thought their leaves were creepy and ugly. I currently have 3 in my collection 🪴😆
I love your videos! I would love to see how you trellis your hoyas. Especially those thick, woody stems like the obovata. I'm always so afraid I'm going to damage them & never know when it's the right time to get them started on one. Thanks!
Thank you for the hoya runway show! The undulata is definitely my number one on my wishlist (one day...) as I love big, unusual foliage! I normally don't like small leafed hoyas but the heuschkeliana variegation does look very elegant.
Love the obovata that is variegated someday I want to get one - I have a regular obovata with splash which would be boring but I have it too close to the grow light (on purpose) and the splash turned pink on the dark leaves and it looks stunning. Love all your hoyas.
The problem with your videos is that they make me want to add more to my wish list. I am being very mindful of adding more to my collection (not sure why). Thanks for the great videos. I have never seen an Obovata like that one! That is a wow. But all the Hoyas you shared today are amazing looking. I’m coming to grips just now with accepting that my Macrophylla is a Latifolia. Right? Whoa! 😳 Miro can you do a video sometime on how you craft and construct your own trellises? We need your Trellis theory! Is that a thing? Trellis theory? Yes, I’m pronouncing it a thing! I have tried a number of ready made, disappointing trellises and they topple over, etc. It’s annoying and the Hoyas deserve something else. Yours look awesomely stable.
His trellises look like Doug Chamberlain's from Vermont Hoyas. and Doug has a video on youtube about how he makes his, if you are interested. He uses rabbit fencing.
Australis Albomarginata really is such a stingy grower. I've had mine for over a year and I've gotten like 6 new leaves. Right now it's finally branching out a little, so I'm feeling a little more hopeful.

Heuschkeliana definitely likes pon. I have all my plants in pon and my Heuschkeliana Variegata is currently blooming 😊 along with my Australis Lisa (I know wash my mouth out for mentioning Australis). Lovely selection Miro, hope you have a lovely weekend x
@@katierose0912 I have them all in terracotta pots. I flush about once a month and have water in the saucer. I’ve also rooted cuttings in pon with canna Rhizotonic solution and they take quite quickly. The fertiliser I use is Liquid gold leaf.

i've had the worst luck with my variegated wayetii. she loves to rot! i had 1 tiny stem left so i put her in one of my humidity chambers and kinda forgot about her. and she started growing! i need to neglect her more often, i guess. h. elliptica is one of my favorites. she's not fuzzy and constantly puts out new growths. I'm also a rally big fan of h. patricia, which i believe is one of her hybrids. similar vibes-easy to grow, not fuzzy.

No, that was a mistake. It should be fixed in the near future. Hoya species from Australia should remain nicholsoniae and the ones from SE Asia are verticillata :)

My Hoya Australis Lisa is also a bitch, it lost almost all leaves since it has arrived in my house, now it stopped losing leaves since I moved it under a bright grow light and is doing absolutely nothing at all. My pride and joy is Hoya retusa, those little green fireworks are so easy breezy ! not very rare and original but I don't care .....
dear Miro, Hoya obovata is a monster, it grows profusely under many condition, i had so much of it that i put some cuttings in a planter outside my building, on the mean streets of NYC, and it"s October 49 degrees F at night and it's still growing,The mother plant in my kitchen is still thriving but hasn't given me any flower yet after 2 years, any suggestion to encourage blooming?

Nope! Hoya australis 'Lisa' is actually Hoya australis ssp. tenuipes 'Lisa'. I am having a hard time with Hoya australis ssp. australis (outer variegated) - the leaves are more succulent and pubescent/ hairy. Quite different than 'Lisa'. It is a pain to grow. I might try another cutting as it could be just a bad cutting that I got. The last one, Hoya nicholsoniae 'New Guinea Ghost' will get so much prettier! I can't wait to show updates 💚
Hi Miro, a question for you. Are root mealy bugs, the same as ordinary mealy bugs 🐛? You'd think that one prefers dark places and the other type likes light. Anyway, I'd be keen to know. Thanks, Jo.

I have a krimson queen... it's weird how the leaves at the base are long and white on the edges, and more round on the new growth!!!🤔🤔🤔🤔
