Thank you Miro, you are becoming an expert with your fascination on Hoya’s… Oh and you are my favourite too on TH-cam, perhaps that’s because I to am becoming fascinated with Hoya’s 🤣 Merry Christmas 🎄 ⭐️
I'm so glad I've found you on TH-cam!! I felt in love with hoyas before that and was a bit like serial killer to them 🤭😬 Probably because of all these mits about them like keep them dry for weeks 🤯You've helped me to better understand their needs and today I'm still learning but are happy mum to some 🌿🌿💚 Thank you for sharing all your knowledge and hilarious sense of humor 😉😇 God bless you Miro! 😉😂🥰
Oh your advice is just priceless! Hoya is such a wide family, and specimens may very a lot in terms of their needs..as I get into more into Hoyas, there are times I feel like it’s hard to read them. Thank you so much! Needless to say I am LUSTING over this undulata… Im in Greece, and so far I haven’t come across one, but ONE DAY I hope I’m gonna get my hands on one! Take care XO
Hi, thanks for this Q&A series! Could you please talk more about watering, you mention using rainwater... what is your rain collection method ( especially in winter )? Is it a pain? My plants spent last summer outside and I saw firsthand how they loved the rain. Now they are definitely not as happy indoors and although there are many factors, I'm wondering whether my tap water is one culprit (pH 9.5, TDS 120ppm). How did you decide to collect rainwater vs. adjusting pH etc.?
In my experience hoya do not like to be root bound and they do not like to get dry either....but that is just my experience in my environment 🙃 Great video, again🥰
So this is one that I'm still trying to figure out, but maybe you have some advice, how do you get hoya Caudata's leaves to undulate? Mine grow in nice and convex with a flat and round margin. Really wish I could figure this out!
I would love a video on H. verticillata. So many different hoyas were reclassified as H. verticillata so does that mean they are all the same plant? It is so confusing to me because my H. verticillata (formally H. pallida) looks nothing like my H. verticillata (formally H. hellwigiana) or H. verticillata (formally H. acuta). When you explained the H. macrophylla being corrected to H. latifolia, that made sense to me, but H. verticillata makes my brain hurt. Thanks! ❤
Ong THIS. Why take twenty different plants and classify them as one? As if it weren't confusing enough. My pallida so boger looks nothing like my 15 other "verticillata", and that's just an example
I totally had one of those sweaters with sleeves and the oversized blanket hoodie Believe it !! And heck ya mailman kindly F off with the banana card bending Geez ! Great Hoyas Xo and Merry Christmas 🎄🌿🌱❤💚😜
As a mailman... lady... whatever.. I would like to formally apologize for your mailman! lol, especially if you check it regularly... unless youre one of those that leaves mail for weeks before emptying it for us, lol, in some cases bent is better than us sending it back as unclaimed and than you wonderin where is your mail.... but youd still be awesome :D
According to April of Unsolicited Plant Talks, the end of the tendrils will die back if it is pointing downwards. She talks about it on her TH-cam video on how to trellis your Hoya. Merry Christmas to all!
I personally think there can be many reasons. I don't think vine pointing downwards can be considered a general truth, because there are many hoyas that grow just fine in the hanging baskets, and the vines go down, and later climb up. I personally think the more we manipulate them, higher the risk of damaging them. But also they can die back because of many other things :)
I could watch you discuss it rocks, but instead you talk about my favorite thing ever HOYAAAA. And you're funny af. That opening scene with you wrapped in a blankie, dead

My Hoya vines die back when I inspect them, I think it might be my breath.

This has been up for nearly a year, and my daft self just now realized you answered one of my questions! Thank you Miro! 🥰🪴💚
LOL I was not prepared for bundled up Basie at the beginning and laughed so hard my cat got mad at me.
In my experience hoya do not like to be root bound and they do not like to get dry either....but that is just my experience in my environment 🙃
Great video, again🥰
True, i put my Hoyas outdoor, exposed to sun and rain…and water them almost everyday. They prefer it that way.
I'm always first, you're my FAVORITE
So damn funny, love learning about my fav plants from you
You are so sweet 😭💚
So many of my general hoya questions got answered in this video!! Thanks Miro!
Thank you! I could listen to you all day!
Trust me, it would be too much 😂

I am glad to hear it
I live in a “blanket with sleeves” all winter long.
I am starting to think I may need to do that as well. 😂

@@jackietheroth Exactly! That is what confuses me about verticillata specifically.
@@nicolemorreau9977 I have invested in like 8 plants, and now they are all just latifolia. Whyyyy
@@jackietheroth I like I have like 10-12 verticillata lol
Love this q&a series ty!
Thanks for answering my question! It will save some of my imports. :)
Great information as always! Thank you 😊💚🪴🌱🌿
You look like one of those Russian nesting dolls with that sweatshirt over your head😂😂❤
I love this video. Please keep doing more!
Thank you! I knew I shouldn't bump into my hoyas I just knew it :)
The snuggie was ahead of it's time. 😂😂
I agree 😂
My undulate had like 3 of the 5 leafs rot but it’s doing well now, can’t wait to finish this video. My imbricata totally rotted😭😂😂
Honestly, you are better off without imbricata 😂
@@BasiePlants just bought 2 more from Indonesia, ima give it another try, but will see

Ty again for another awesome informative video .
Have you seen the Hoya Sulawesiana yet? It’s taking over my every thought. 😂
You are welcome! :D Yes, I have! But Hoya pulchra has been on my mind lately 😂
Welp, thanks a lot… now I want both. 😆

How to get Hoya cinnamonfolia to grow 😊
I still didn't get around to buying one 🙈
I do not recommend it. It keeps growing a vine and then it dies back. She is a real diva. I've banished her to the back of my grow tent. 😝
Their bending my banana really bends my banana. 😠
The banana will survive. There is a crease, but the overall condition is stable.
