Best year I've every had for the specks. Congratulations on that monster. Glad to see you released it. Sometimes those big ones have lots of worms. But you can clean them up still.
I spend a cumulative 2 to 3 months in the Outer Banks but live in Virginia now. Spent 10 years living down here and never salt fished, I'm a true bass fisherman for sure. That was dumb, haha. This spring they were slamming trout when I came out from surfing so I went and got some swimbaits out of my bass box. Caught eight specs and a 28-inch puppy drum and now I'm hooked. Been a rough week down here. You can hardly buy a trout this week but you guys are killing it up there. Don't quite understand that but that's awesome for you guys! Just found your channel this week and I've been watching it non stop. Great rapport and it's really nice to see all these local areas and receive some knowledge. I'm trying to learn quickly. Pretty sure I pass by that spot every time on the way home. Just wishing I had a boat and the chance to experience what you guys are doing. Keep up the good work and I'll keep watching. You're living the dream my friends! And you sir are very lucky to have a lady that enjoys doing something so great with you. And she kills it! But I did have two double-digit bass catching days out of the last three so I can't complain. We are all blessed to experience God's nature and catch these creatures. Good on you for the release
Congratulations on your Personal Best, Awesome Job Keep it Up , my 1st 25" Trout i caught wade fishing had a 2# mullet in her belly, Huge- Right On Yall
theoneuafter and the great thing about these two...when they have kids. They will teach them right. We are trying to and show on TH-cam and coppa says we are targeting children. Ugh. Keep up the good work Kristi and Jeff.
adrush0220 haha. No. Just have my boys in videos so they say as a generalization coppa says that could be targeting kids. It’s crazy. Sucks for family you tubers.checkout our vids. You tell us whatvya think😜
You will notice only 2 boats go by in the background, if they give up the exact location, next weekend you would see 25+ boats. Social media is great to let people kn9w fish are biting, hey here is how I catch them, hey look what I caught. When you drive 2 hr to get to boat launch and find no more parking what will be plan b?
@@aubreyansell1019 unfortunately everyone already knows that bridge and that spot so expect it to be even more crowded after this vid this week lol, I'm just glad it was not a good spot in the river that people don't know of..
To you everybody knows about the location but I tell you 25,000 people around here we’re not living here 5 years ago when citations were a daily event, but then you had to fight the crowds. I always fished in the rain or at night. The water still stinks, as it was just a few years ago the most polluted body of water in the united states . I will see if I can find my pics of 3eyed fish.
Awesome catch, y’all are fun to watch. My buddy and I play the 1Fish2Fish drinking game when watching your vids. Drink when you hear, “alright y’all”, catch a wicked buzz... jk. I fished the other side of the river in that location on Sunday, never thought to hit that spot, always learn from you all, appreciate the videos.
That's a beautiful trout. I catch a 26 in spec last year from my kayak. He fought more like a red until he revealed himself. My eyes must have popped out when I first saw him. Way to go Christi!
Catch loads of these big girls down my way. Good on you for releasing it. You can still go get your citation paperwork for a release of over 24". At least in NC.
I am a speck fisherman out of va, and I really enjoy these videos! I just caught my first citation speck that was also 25”. My reaction was the same! The specks have been on fire so far this year, big ones too! can’t wait to see what fall products. Congratulations! Thank you for the content!
Eat the slots and let the big girls go that is absolutely how its done man you guys are awesome as I said in my previous comment love you guys keep up the outstanding work like shared and subscriber for 2 years now I believe the content has just got better and better over time 👏
You gotta make it down here to fish the upper Laguna Madre. 25” is very nice. Down here you might catch multiple that size or best your PB. I had 3 last weekend over 21”. If you’re not afraid to get out of the boat, wading seems to be more productive. Great video y’all. I’m happy for you.
Props to you on the catch and release on the big girl Young lady its so much more rewarding knowing that trout will spawn and reproduce 1000's of other trout and im sooo happy and proud to say im a subscriber of 1 fish 2 fish love you guys man keep up the outstanding work guys I look forward to watch you wonderful people succeed in life ❤
Wowwwww!! Gata!! I am continuously surprised at how much I learn every time I watch one of y'all's videos I was just going to ask you about your opinion on Croaker's using them to target large trout and you were literally using a lure that mimics a Croaker I'm just going to sit back and watch all y'all stuff man keep it coming please keep it coming
Congrats! That is my stomping grounds. When the power plant was there, that size fish was average. They never migrated and just sat there and got fat. One of my best friends (God rest his soul) caught a 13.2 pound, 33" spec right around the corner from where you are. That was back when the power plant was still there. I'm sure his parents still have the mount.
These areas look familiar are you guys fishing in hampton roads? I'm looking to get into more saltwater stuff now live in currituck so you got any pointers on good spots to try? If that's the elizabeth river that's alot closer than the bay and would rather fish that if your pulling fish out like that!
Awesome trout but you might as well have put it in the box. De-sliming a trout is pretty much going to be a dead trout. It allows for bacteria to form and grow on the fish. Excitement tends to get the best of us in that situation but if one actually cares about a healthy release of a fish and or considers themselves “conservationist” then you would never want to handle one in that manor seen here. That being said, that’s great catch
TheSoskin it’s def all about finding the fish for sure. Once you find em. Usually go back to same spots. It could be 100 diff. Keep grinding my friend.
I know EXACTLY where that is, y'all are in one of my spots ... Thankfully you were using the wrong bait so you weren't catching the really, really big ones that are there. :)
Please give a hint of where you are at,pretty please 😍 are you near the old hot ditch ? Where the Elisabeth river and the James river meet ? Could you tell us the water temp where your at ,maybe ? Just a hint before they are gone 🙏🏻 My boat is on a lift here in birdneck point and don’t have a trailer so it’s a pretty long run over to where I think you at,have fun and nice video thank you 😊

awesome speck, but jeepers! Let it go quicker next time!
Glad I'm not the only one. Cold water in the winter is the only reason that fish is alive.
Best year I've every had for the specks. Congratulations on that monster. Glad to see you released it. Sometimes those big ones have lots of worms. But you can clean them up still.
That trout was beast! That thing definitely has a gym membership!
Anyone that starts a video with "Y'all" is good in my book. Keep up the badass vids

TheSoskin they’re everywhere rn. Moving water by structure, mud flats, creek mouths, oyster beds, etc. Try dock lights at night for some extra help.
