No if distance is too much then you should be provide latak beam almost fifteen ft above distance then provide latak beam it is better than concealed.

In case of visible beam at bottom of slab , the depth of beam is minimum 9 inch (or 12 inch, depending on span to depth ratio) so that it can withstand the minimum stress of 4 inch slab thickness,
Now if we are replacing visible beam with concealed beam , can a 4 inch depth concealed beam withstand the stresses of 4 inch slab: or we are required to increase the thickness of slab
Then again if depth of concealed beam and thickness of slab be same, can beam withstand the stresses of slab
