Stirrups locks must be at bottom at cantilever case.

Good work but i think stirrups must be hooked bottom incase of cantiliver beams and its also best way to make main steel bars in U-shaped instead of bending form top and bottom

Try to include more info about why only side main bars bended? Why the need of side reinforcement? Size of beam? Length of cantilever beam? Deflection limit? And compare the percentage of reinforcement provided? And why 3 bar at bottom layer as cantilever is designed for hogging only?

Try to Impasis on the Back Loading of Cantilever which is the Most important. and the technical reasons behind of bending bars at the Cantilever End
Sirji 2 baatein-
1) ek layer mein jyada see jyada 3 bar hone chaiye Varna aapka concrete beam ke andar kaise jayega( in case the beam is 9")
2) cantilever mein steel binding me Jo stirrups ke hooks hote hai vo niche ki taraf hote hai vo simply supported beams mein upar ki taraf aate Hain .
Hence please revise the steel binding before concreting.

Bhullarsaab Bhullarsaab stirrups basically serve many purposes out which one is to hold longitudinal bars in place , generally in simply supported beams, the top bars are in tension while the bottom bars are in compression, so the stirrup hooks are placed upward in simply supported beams while in case of cantilever beams, bottom bars are in tension while top bars tend to compress hence in this case the hooks are basically placed downwards on alternate sides not on top.

amit parchani bhai you are saying exactly opposite in simply supoorted of fix beam tension is in bottom and compression at to top and opposite in centilever cass

Brother I had a doubt. What is the purpose of.providing cantilever beams. Is it is necessary when we provide the cantilever slabs? Can you clarify my doubt?
It is not always necessary .... if you provide extra top reinforcements bars on slab with proper size, it can do
It would better if u explain why we are providing Mai bar /side bar ,why some bar are bent at end and some are left straight in accordance various forces ...then I think it ur video will same as site training

Can we have a cantilever where the steel is coming from columns in ' L' shape as the first is already completed and rebars were left out for 2 nd floor column lenth only and not for cantilever beam.
We have been advised to use 16 mm dia rebar bend back. So the same rebar acting as main bar then bend back at 90 degree twice and then going back in column. 3 bars 16 mm. Length of cantilever is 1.5 mt.

Top extra bars in cantilever should be provided in 2.5 or 2times and should we bend up them in case becz tension zone in top
The hooks of stirrups should be down side in case of cantilever beam... Cause in case of cantilever beam the tensile load applying at top side while compressive load apply at bottom side just with support [in case of simply supported beam stirrups's hook should be top side...

i would have used U bar to close at the end so there is good overlap (say 50* bar diameter) there is some thing missing and other things: where is health and safety on your site. if any one falls from the top?

What is the maximum weight that a cantilever beam of 3’ x 16’ can take since I am also enclosing this utility area attached to I floor kitchen with block work or wall on all the sides for my I floor kitchen in India? Since this is an utility area there may be lot of walks from in/out of kitchen. I just want to make sure this is safe because it will take block work weight and also has no support at the bottom. What is the reason for providing side reinforcement?
Torsion is one of the reasons. . another reason is if all the steel can't be provided in a single row.
Torsion arises in cantilevers and in case where transverse beams are provided over longitudinal beams.

(2) Extra top bars should alwys bent with developkent legth..
In cantilever beams, main bars are top bars due to tension on top, then y are all top bars are not provided anchorage length??
2ndly if tension is at the top, y all bottom bars are provided 90 degree hooks..??
