I second this since there are also laptops now, which would also eliminate the need for the desk since it can just be moved into inventory from the counter space when it needs to be freed up for cooking.

unless it's a hotel wirh multiple bedrooms using the most expensive bed; 10 double beds is already 120k plus an en suite with each room, and a commercial kitchen with the 13k oven and a massive café/lounge on the first floor....and really expensive trees??
+pamyp21 the only issue with that is, even on James' powerhouse of a computer set-up...the game can't handle having that many things on one lot. The lag is CRAZY once you have over 10 bedrooms' worth of stuff on a lot. Which is a bummer because I'd like to see that. I'd like him to do like a house building mansion series :)
+Michaela Tavares I have built 2 hotels in TS2 and 1 in TS4 and they were almost at 900K when finished, and I don't even have a super beefy computer so I think James would be able to do it. Definetly.
Dr. Hyperion Interesting. I guess the only reason I thought it wouldn't work on his computer is because at one point when he was doing a hotel build, the game started to lag to the point he could barely see what he was doing. But, that may have been a livestream for 6t4bites maybe?

I know right, I personally don't have the sims 4 but I have the Sims 3 and when my brother plays it he asks me to watch him build a house and/or apartment (The Sims 3 Late Night)and I keep telling him to check to see if his house works while he's building and he doesn't listen and when he's done building and furnishing he can't use the shower,sink,bunk bed (TS3 supernatural & TS3 Generations),fridge or toilet because he either made the items to close to a wall like the toilet or flipped the wrong way like the shower.

How about an apartment complex on a 64x64 type lot? With amenities like a pool, communal gym, library, etc? With the doors being able to be locked it could kinda work I think

I built this huge apartment complex that I love and used the sim.spawn cheat to fill it in since it was more than 8 sims and they kept trying to use stuff in other sim's apartments and since the doors were locked they couldn't use them. They'd try to use another apartment's bathroom until they would pee themselves.

Well I was sick for a very long time and I couldn't work like most people my age so I've started a career very recently and I'm working in a field where it takes time to get to the point where you make good money. I'm not mad about it because I know it's not entirely my fault but sometimes it makes me feel like a bit of a loser.

Monika Ondekova Just because bloxburg works doesn’t mean the sims will. Anyway, it won’t be possible because in bloxburg the collision is good but in sims, it doesn’t let you squeeze objects in as much as bloxburg.
Sadly a 3x3 space sounds like a pretty typical studio flat for many people in Hong Kong
the only needs you really need space for are sleep hygiene and bladder. the others can be filled on your phone.

Really nostalgic coming back to the videos that actually made me want the Sims 4 when I was still playing Sims 3. It’s difficult to go back to Sims 3 now when the pathing is so much more reliable in Sims 4. That and my Sims actually take care of themselves more reliably then Sims 3.

Honestly, making the houses in the Sims are one of my favorite things to do. I am happy that you can rebuild all the buildings in Sims 4 to make them look how you want them to look.
I've been trying to get that achievement where you have several generations of your Sims family.
And I want to try out that University expansion pack. I have a few other expansions packs already, I know that a lot of the time, the more expansion packs you have, the slower things can run but how can you not get so many when they make it so tempting? 😅😂

I will admit, i do suffer from claustrophobia, but the design of the room makes it seem so much larger. There is quite a lot of open space and wide views from the many windows, which really gives you a sense of living in a space mush larger than it really is. I think that, despite my claustrophobia, I could very much live in a house like this.

@@ElaysiaAriel Go for it if it's your passion. There is a degree solely for interior designing. However, if you'd like a bit of knowledge about everything, then architecture has it. Design 1-Design 10 which is why it's five years. Art class, Plumbing class, Electricity/Electronics Class, etc.

This reminds me of a TV show i saw about apartment prices in NYC. This guy was paying $1200 a month for a room in central Manhattan that is essentially a 2x3 Sim lot. It was basically a cupboard with this tiny window, and everything folded up against a wall. There were 4 of those rooms on one floor (4 floor building) and the kitchen and bathroom were communal in another room and were shared between the 6 tenants, 2 of the rooms had couples living in them! So this 4x4 home would be worth megabucks if it were an apartment!
Do you not have a laptop in the game? That could save you the PC space as your Sim could use the counter for the laptop. Although i love your space-saving technique here.
You could use a 1x1 wardrobe for your clothes, if they exist in-game, and mount the TV on the side of that, pretending it is on a swiveling mount.
If you could get a shower that is just the shower unit itself that mounts on to a wall you could make a shower room. We have one in our house, the entire bathroom is the shower cubical. I'd say that's 2x3 in Sim-scale, but can be any size really. I've seen narrowboats (Narrowboat challenge - 8x2 interior?) with shower closets - actual name - that would be 1x1. The 'door' is a folding concertina door, so would take up no space at all in your Sim home, and you have to sit on the toilet to have a shower!
It is entirely possible to make a 1x1 home that accommodates for all of your Sim's current needs ... Just kill him :D
MickMaan I believe there are laptops in the Sims so yeah that could save a bit of space, he used the space in an amazing manner anyways, think I'm gonna go back to Sims just cuz I want that house and Imma use you're laptop idea ;D

there are loft beds in sims 3 that you can put stuff under so it could possibly work in the sims 3 as well.
also using the all on one bathroom solutions introduced in paradise island is a must to save space in sims 3 though.
Last time I played Sims, the latest version was Sims 2. Now I'm really impressed what you can do with 4!!

I wondered that, too. I tried to log back into Origin to figure it out XD
rpek32 Press CTRL+Shift+c at the same time to open the cheat console. Then type bb.moveobjects into the box. It should say that move objects is on. Type CTRL+Shift+c again to close the cheat console. You can press and hold Alt while holding an object in build mode for more control.
