Some wild gorilla populations get bigger than others on average. Mountain gorillas and Eastern lowland gorillas are the biggest gorillas you'll see in the wild, there are a good amount of males that are absolutely massive and would definitely match and likely surpass this male in size, especially in weight. This guy in the video is a Western lowland gorilla, Western lowland gorillas are generally the smallest gorillas in the wild, so this guy would stick out like a sore thumb when compared to his fellow Western lowland gorillas.

for the most part, they can be. you don't want to climb into their enclosure, though. they might see you as a threat and then that gentle demeanor disappears in the blink of an eye.

Gorrilas are one of the most peaceful mamals in the world and there is never a case of them going out hunting for humans or attacking because of mood. The most they will do if they see humans is Nudge them to put on a show. They are humble creatures that simply submit.
